Thanks for the video. Helped a bunch. I wish there was a way to have the lights turn on only when the objective has been met. For instance, have the gear lights come on only when the landing gear is down and locked. That way, you could have a light showing transition (gear lights red when gear in transition, for example). That would be super awesome. Then also you could assign lights to light up when flaps are down, speedbrakes deployed, etc.
Great video, but if you have the Control Panel 2 as it's own USB device and not slaved, then it's irrelevant whether the Throttle is in the 5 modifier mode and still works fine. The only reason you need the 5 modifer mode off in slave mode is free up the button shifts......so for example if you wanted the 3 LEDs to change colour for the landing gear as per this video it means you have to forfeit 3 of the existing light change modes that are configured by default. Example, if you configure modes 3, 4, and 5 for the landing gear lights they will work fine in all 5 modes however.......because those 3 modes are dedicated to the landing gear lights you lose those modes for any button configurations and the LEDs for the buttons in mode 3,4 and 5 will show whatever the default colour is programmed as on the 'LED' tab.
Question!! I only see 5 available, S1-S5, for setting shift buttons for lights. How do I set more? I have my gear on three of the lights, the S4 and S5 are set to toggle on with a toggle up, S5 light goes out when toggle is off, both for the same toggle. 1) did I do that right? If I had it set to on or TGL it just stays on so had to set another for off. 2) If not how do I do that? 3) Every time I set my light for #14 it activates button 6 on the panel instead of the light on top of the airplane indicator. Mine must be different or newer or something. Is there an updated LED map available? One does not come with the user manual.
I have the Virpul Throttle and Control Panel #2. I wanted to set up (2) square buttons on the Throttle to raise and lower the flaps and have the 2 LEDs on the end turn on and off under the aircraft image on control panel #2. I also wanted to have a Hat Switch to control the air brake and have the LED turn on and off over the aircraft image on control panel #2. Can you explain how this can be done and still have the gear lever light up the 3 LEDs under the aircraft? Is there any way to have the 5 Way Modifier on the Throttle with this setup?
One problem with this video is, i dont recall you stating that you have to set up the Panel 2 with the firmware update first before you do all this. If a newbie bought this 1st, they would be a bit lost.
@@JGandT the thing is that when i have it config as joystick and pluged in standalon it works fine. But when i change it to slave mod so i can use it whit aux on my throttle, onthing hapens whut the light when i pull down the landingear lever. Any ideas?

Virpil are currently working on the software that will allow this by interacting with the game data in various titles
