    Key features:
    - Super easy and quick way to get your car protected.
    - It's as easy to use as a detail spray but has the traits and strengths of products like silica spray sealants (CarPro Reload, Gyeon Wet Coat, etc).
    - The simplicity of the installation makes HydroSilex into the perfect coating for the DIYer.
    - Once applied HydroSilex cures into a durable transparent ceramic layer on top of the substrate. The new top layer adds shine and protects the substrate from getting in contact with contaminants, UV, minor scratches and other harmful chemicals.
    - Can be used as both a maintenance coating for traditional coated surfaces or as a stand-alone protection.
    - Can be used on virtually any surface. It can be applied to bare metal, stainless steel, aluminum, glass, plastic, wood, fiberglass, stone, marble tiles, automotive paint, gel coats and more.
    - It can be applied using both wet and dry methods (dry method yields better results).
    - HydroSilex Recharge can last 6 months in real world conditions.
    - HydroSilex Recharge is great for use on Paint Protection Film.

    I have been using this product on my vehicle that has a PPF on it and love it. I apply it with the dry method and it is very easy. The shine is amazing and the water beading is fantastic. I reapply it about every quarter to “build up the layers”and because it is so easy to apply. Thanks for your many reviews on so many products.

    Appreciate the review. Just applied this directly after wash, clay bar, wax and the results are awesome. Super easy to apply using the "dry" method and took about 30 min to cover the entire car. Heat and rain are brutal down here in Miami and the water beads up and slides off like nothing I've used before. It's ironic because every time it rains, which is every single day from May-Sept, my car actually gets a mini wash. I have a white car and it definitely stays cleaner for longer periods of time with this stuff

      Hi! Glad you like it. Don’t forget to not apply it over wax next time. We never mix waxes/sealants and ceramic coatings. Try to apply it as a stand alone protection on paint or as a topper over an existing ceramic coating.

    This product is really good in my opinion , didn’t really work the first time I used it (didn’t really put in the work the first time) , but I redid it and left my truck sitting in the garage for a whole week with the product on , was not smooth until I buffed it really good while the recharge was on my truck for a whole week . Added a second coat let it sit for another week , buffed it really well again. Works really well and it looks like I have a bubble shield around my truck when the sun light hits at a certain time . I recommend this product . Not saying it’s better than any other product , but this is the first ceramic product I tried i would give it 5 stars if you put your time into it .

    Hey, Pan! I bought a bottle 2 weeks and I say this:
    - The gloss and shine is better than a wax (I am a Meguiar’s wax fan).
    - I like the fact that I can spray any surface on my vehicle and buff off, including glass.
    - The ease of use is not bad. Usually, with a spray wax product, I would need to go through one to two passes with a dry microfiber to address streaking; however, with Hydrosilex, I never found myself needing to buff because I did not observe streaking. I have black paint and this is the first with Hydrosilex that I end with a uniform (if not perfect) shine as I still have yet to see the usual streaking from the traditional waxes.
    - I have used other OTC products before, but with Hydrosilex I noticed the tightest water beading I have ever seen. The water beads were a half a circle in shape, not the usual flat beads seen after a good wax. Water beading on glass is not like Rain-X - the water beating is smaller than Rain-X and the smaller beads may give you visibility problems. So I’d personally stick with Rain-X on glass.
    - I have applied this product twice so far. I still have yet to go through a heavy rain event to get a good perspective on persformance.
    Overall, I’m satisfied with this ceramic-booster product.

    • @memnoch1974

      Kyle Fonrose Yesterday I cleaned my wheels with the intention of applying hydrosilex to the wheel coating. I made sure the wheels were cleaned (I just came back from a 2 week road trip and the build up with definitely an issue). Anyway, wheels were cleaned and I decided to apply the hydrosilex via the rinse-off method. Once I rinsed off the wheel cleaner off the wheel, I sprayed a thin coat of hydrosilex on the wheel surface, making sure I sprayed around the spoke areas and a few spritz were applied inside the wheel well too. Finally, a few sprays were applied on the front face areas and I followed up with a water rinse to spread the hydrosilex around and off the wheel surfaces.
      My first observations: Water immediately beaded like no other. A little history: I have never applied a wax/polish/protectant on the wheel surfaces at all since I’ve owned my vehicle. So hydroxilex performed exceptionally well for my observations and water beaded around all surfaces. So I was pleased knowing that the wheels were protected.
      My second observations: I noticed an immediate pop in gloss on the wheel surface. Again, I’ve never treated my wheels before so this was a nice effect I never thought possible on a wheel. So color me impressed.
      I used a garden hose for the rinse-off method. So knowing how this applied on the wheel, I would suspect that applying on paint would yield similar results; however, to Pan’s point, maybe applying with a MF towel would more than likely yield the optimum results of hydrosilex on your paint.

    • @esvignettes7592
      @esvignettes7592 Před 5 lety +1

      Alex915 water beading on your paint doesn’t equate to paint protection. Remember that. Hydrophobic properties just means it doesn’t like water, that’s it.

    I’ve been using the Marine version throughout the Canadian winter here on my daily mustang. It’s decent but gets removed easily with a basic hand wash even with a ph-neutral soap that isn’t supposed to remove waxes or sealants etc.
    I gave it to my wife . It works decent on our giant glass shower and makes the glass easier to clean. The chemical guys V07 sealant detailer and even Lucas slick mist are far better in terms of temporary slickness and shine/gloss. The hydrosilex barely adds any gloss.

    Before I get to my initial impressions here's my cars current state:
    Polished out with 303 compound, polish and finishing polish, done in very early June. I then 2x's TAC system Power Plus Sio2 paint coating (70%). About 6 weeks later I topped it with TAC systems Moonlight, a 50% Sio2 product. Then about 2 weeks ago I applied TAC system 1 step Master, a 25% Sio2 product.
    Now at this point your wondering this..."why", fair enough and it is simple, I like building a shine and more importantly maintaining it. In between washes, using all 3 Gyeon washes, CarPro Hydrofoam and TriNova washes, I've sprayed TAC system Quartz Max, a 5% Sio2 product, even made my own spray wax using 2 oz of QM, 2 oz of CarPro Echo and a gallon of distilled water.
    Ok, now that your up to speed, here is my take on Hydrosilex...AWESOMELY EASY TO APPLY! I've established my Sio2 base laid down and this product didn't have any compatibility issues with TAC systems products, not at all. I did about 3 sprays per panel and used a short nap mf towel and that was it but I ended up using 2 of them, keeping it fresh. I should also mention that prior to application I did an AMMO NYC Frothe WW to my car, so a clean surface was a given! Btw, that product is amazing, I mean really, really amazing!
    In closing you might be wondering what exotic car I did all of this on, look at the avatar, I'm just practicing for when I get something very very special but the Hope's and dreams haven't come in yet, LOL. My car currently has no stripes and blacked out housing lights, commonly called "turbo" lights.

    Pan, ceramic coatings are silica base products which are also called Silicon dioxide, SiO2, based on what I read, which is very harmful to humans respiratory system. Do correct me if I'm wrong. Is there any precautionary/harmful labels on HSR or any other ceramic coating products that you have tried before? Another question is how do we wash ceramic coating off our hands if accidentally spilled? Can rubbing alcohol do the job? Don't get me wrong, I'm just a health conscious guy.

    Hey pan, what are your thoughts on getting a tool for undercarriage washing?
    And what are your thoughts for getting a Canopy or a Gazebo for those who dont have a garage to detail cars like myself?
    If you would make a video review on them it would be very helpful. Thank you

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 6 lety

      Very few people are interested in undercarriage washing. Maybe those who keep their cars in a museum or as trailer queens. A simple rinse with a pressure washer will do. I have a 20 degree curve at the end of my Mosmatic wand which allows me to quickly spray the undercarriage if needed.
      And a canopy is a great idea, mobile detailers use that all the time, for those who don't have a garage and want to guarantee they can work in the shade.

    hi Pan, great vid again.
    I was wondering if you could do a video on how to safely remove dust on a relatively freshly detailed car? I always have dust on my Alfa 4C after a couple of days after washing it. Always anoying to rinse off and dry (or leave it as is), but I always fear of scratching the car (dust could contain sand particles). As far as I have seen, not scratching has happened with my techniques.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi! The first step is to get a good quick detailer. I did a video on a great DIY version here: czcams.com/video/Kn8wYn_P9Js/video.html
      Lightly mist it on the panel and gently wipe in a straight line with a plush microfiber towel. Flip the towel and lightly buff.
      Only do this in a clean, slightly dusty car. Anything more than that, use a traditional wash.

      CQuartz will outlast any spray on coating for sure. You could use Hydrosilex during maintenance washes on your CQuartz. Great combo.

    Looks like a great product especially for vehicles that are parked outside 24/7 in all weather elements. As it can be applied to most surfaces, I have the roof and bonnet (hood) where the clear coat has gone, and has patchy paint on the roof. Could this be used on these areas for some type of protection from outside contaminants and bird droppings etc ?
    Currently I use CarPro HydrO2 silica spray on the whole car for protection and it changes the look of these 2 surfaces to a dull satin finish as there is no gloss due to no clear coat. Thanks in advance for any comments. Keep up the excellent videos.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  Před 6 lety

      Yes you can use it on all your surfaces. Don’t expect gloss enhancement on a surface with no clear coat though. But it will protect against UV rays, chemicals and bird droppings. But always clean droppings as soon as possible as they will still etch a coating as they’re acid in nature.

      turbojr74 ...well I'm not Pan but Sonax wheel shield is an outstanding product to keep your wheels cleaner, longer. I've been using this for product since it came out over a year ago and I can attest to it lasting 2 solid months. My 2 monthes is on a DD that's washed twice a week and I always use wheel cleaners and my trusty Speed Master wheel brush to get into everything, also a small barrel brush for around the lug nuts. The wheel needs to be 100% dry when you spray it on. It's an aerosol, goes on clear but may look glossy at first it does dry and leaves the wheel natural looking. Can't endorse this product enough!

      I guess you could apply a second coat (wash, then dry, then IPA wipe, then apply coat) but at that point, maybe you'd be better off adding a true top coat like CarPro Gliss which will give you more slickness while you're at it... Not sure how a second coat of CQUK would bond after a week of the first one curing... Never tried that.
