How you doing? What’s the difference between Touch less and auto foam and can touch less be used in combination with auto foam or vice verse? Which one is safe for daily wash on coated cars? Thank you once again

V1 has been on my car for 6 months now. It now has same problems as seen. Roof, hood etc working still like day one, but lower parts of doors is gone. They just mailed me about v2 and sent me new bottles for free. Great stuff still i think. Have a great summer Pan!

I use Seafoam Bug Remover , spray on let dwell for a few minutes and power wash off .

Pan, I'm disappointed with the company so far. While I'm not a "professional" detailer, I've coated several vehicles of mine with other high brand ceramics, and now most recently in January our new Bronco with original Cerakote. After applying and your/other videos, I spoke to the company about refunding and they said someone would be in touch. After several attempts for further refund, to no surprise, crickets! I will try again this week as I would like to try the 2.0 on their dime. Guess we'll see but my suspicion is, if you don't have a main stream voice, likely will get nowhere.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the better ceramic coatings were supposed to be in glass jars so as to preserve its high quality and ingredients. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I either read or heard that in my research of ceramic coatings. Thank ya!

I purchased a new vehicle in January 2024 and performed a true paint correction before applying the Cerakote original. The application's temperature was 55 degrees, and garage kept for 2 days . No water exposure for 3 weeks. I couldn't have asked for better product performance, horizontal and vertical. Cerakote has provided me with the new version as well.Was it luck with the original or extra cure time .

I like the test u did but ida rather see a few months test through many washes and see how it actually holds up I was my vehicle at least. Once a week so I’m a bit skeptical

Brilliant update, Pan! Thank you! So very happy to see this! I got my replacement but I've yet to apply it, still waiting on the temperature here to reach 18c or even for the rain to stop for that matter! I used Fusso coat in the interim and as much as I love it, it's nothing compared to a ceramic coating. Can't wait to get the buckets and polisher out and get to work. I am disappointed that there is still no mention in the documentation about PH level tolerance though. Last thing I want to do is use Bilt Hamber Auto Foam and find it destroys the coating like it appeared to have done with my last (not Cerakote) coating.

I like to hand wash my own car, unfortunately where I live it is not allowed to wash in in front of your house ( idk why I believe something to do with the chemicals in the products), this means I have to do this kind of stuff in wash boxes late at night or early in the morning. Either way, I have a question. I want to buy a product that I can apply on top of my wax for some extra protection. I was thinking Gyeon Wetcoat, but this needs a wet surface, which after waxing the car is not the case. Is there something like that to easily apply after waxing? Or do I apply something else before waxing? For example on top of the Liquid insulator or before applying the liquid insulator. All tips and tricks are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Yea, not gonna chance it when there are so many great proven coatings on the market. I had the cerakote windshield coating and that lasted great so I was excited about about the Ceramic Coat. Ordered the first version and returned unopened after seeing the honest reviews. Sorry Cerakote, I'm good.

Pan do we really need megs wheel brightner for car that's never been cleaned? or will brake buster do just as good?

experienced a similar issue: I had my car coated last year with a new line of product from a well known coatings company but the hydrophobics ended up being pretty poor in the end. A few months ago I brought my car back to the detailer - one of the best in the Boston area - and they removed and reapplied the coating. Not sure what the exact problem was but the coating manufacturer stood by their warranty and shop stood by their work and saved me from a big headache.

Is it going to failed under 65F? Maybe it's a no no in winter season.

I wonder if it was my video that you watched, since in one of the small channels that has made a video, if so, it is an honor 🫡🤝Hopefully you can do a follow up video also at the 6 month and on year mark to see how it holds up in your environment. I Will be doing some update videos on it also, and see how it works in San Diego weather only a daily driven car 🚗

I never even tried V1 due to the responses/experiences from people like yourself. And I ordered V1 due to your video. Would you recommend just throwing away V1 and not taking any chances of wasted time experimenting with it? Or in warm temperatures now in the summer, would it cure properly? It's in the 90's now every day here and mid 70's at night.

I just emailed the company. I am a DIY er and paid for the original. I am hoping they will replace my order. Since I never applied the original based on the results I was seeing. Thank you for the update.

I can't wait around to see if if lasts this time , I'm going to try DIY Detail Coatings . Yvan and company seem to have the most experience developing products that work and no hype required .

I have to wonder if Cerakote didn’t do any real-world testing with v1. Surely they would have noticed what everyone else did.

One note about that Marolex pump sprayer: I find the spray to be not so wide, is it a wrong impression by me? I am evaluating the purchase but the flow looks like less wider than other sprayers. What do you think about?

NO! First coating failed. Contacted the company several times. They never did anything. I don’t care what the ceo said. I saw the video. Called them many times. Last time spoke to a service tech named Annie who said they would be in touch. After that they just ignored my emails. Never again.

I need to try now with the latest version they shipped, but wondering if it reacts under summer temps well above 90-degrees F.

Hey Pan. It's good that the company listened to the customers and improved their product and even better that you gave them a second chance and showed us (your viewers) also.

It speaks well for a company when they admit their mistakes and it speaks even higher for them when they react quickly to correct it. This is a great example of how to handle it when something doesn't work right.

This is so interesting, washing with multiple towels.. I’ve been doing it this way for years, just because I’m lazy and couldn’t be bothered using two buckets 😂

I'm relatively new to using a foam cannon. I did some online research and decided to try Chemical Guys Mr. Pink. It foamed well and left a nice shine on the car. Then I saw this video and decided to try Apex Auto Wash. Just as much much foam, just as much shine, but also leaves the car feeling smooth like it was just waxed. I will be switching over to this brand for my weekly, go to car soap.

Man Pan, I tried the first version but after the debacle. I am one bitten twice shy. I hope folks have good luck with the product but I will be using others instead.

I chose a refund. I took a chance given the name brand, and I had only heard good things. Unfortunately, there testing for version 1 missed a lot. I do appreciate the takikg ownership, but if they are the main people behind the materials and selling to other brands, then that great but it baffles me how with that much clout they missed and messed up the testing on version 1. Again, multiple first-generation brands of different things they always tell you to not be the first and wait for the company to work things out, but unfortunately. If you look at a first-generation model new car. Their coating failing would be the equivalent of a new car not even running and doing the main thing it was designed to do. I could understand if it wasn't as slick as it should be, but not even curring or sticking basically is rough. I hope it does well, but I will be waiting for a while. I dont feel bad, though, because they even made you Pan believe in the first version.

I do like when a company is open and admit that their products aren't pure perfection. These kinds of companies i do feel way better about spending my money on.

Good video of the updated version! I recently received the updated version. I assume that you can apply the previous version in the summer at warm temperatures. 'NGL detail & coating' did a test on a black vehicle 4 months ago and the coating was successful. I higly recommend that video. the gloss is unreal!
