- Hydrosilex Recharge is hands-down an amazing product. If you have a coated car, it adds great "pop." If you don't? It still adds a great pop as your Last Step Product (takes the place of a sealant, or wax, for example). I knew this going in, so when the team at Hydrosilex asked me to review their products I was excited to do so!
By the way, you can find the whole Hydrosilex line here:

Anyway, I knew Hydrosilex Recharge was legit. But what about their entire aftercare line?! They sent me a bunch of products to try -- and in this video, I put them the test!!!

I like it a lot. I used it in a wet application on my ATV and dry application on my car. Great gloss and hydrophobic properties. I like spraying it on my wheels and power washing it off as well. Never tried the soap but excited to do so now!
Dude I had tried re charge and it's like you said - easy to use, great shine etc. But yeah the silica soap felt so slick and left the panel very glossy after. I could have just dried car then and not even used re charge and it would have looked great...
Amazing Video Nick! I always enjoy when a new one comes out. After this video I may have to get my hands on this stuff to test durability but so far seems amazing and super easy to apply. You reminded me I need to correct and coat my new detailing rig this weekend with optimums gloss coat! If you were to sell this to a customer what would you sell it as coating, sealent or ceramic coating?
Thanks man! I was genuinely impressed with the silica soap and recharge. As far as gloss coat...man, it's tough. It is a consumer level coating. I might put it at a $50-100 upsell to whatever you are doing. So if you charge 250 for a one step...add the 50-100 for gloss coat. I dont really sell gloss coat...its great for a nice pop and shine but it wont perform like a pro coating so I just kind of avoid selling it.
Hawk Pro Detailing appreciate the feedback I was referring to hydro charge ceramic coating what you might sell it as?
Ahhhhhh good call! Recharge is, according to them, a ceramic coating. So you could sell it as a step up from basic wax or sealant? Maybe a step under a pro coating?
Nick, why is a low nap towel preferred?
Cool video sir 👍🏼👍🏼😎
Thanks my guy!
I can't believe they still washed it after you told them not to. Might have to look into those products. I've been looking for something for my ceramic coated truck as well. How do you like that big IK foamer?
I was really bummed, but I didnt want to be "that guy." I learned my lesson though. Make sure they write it down (dont wash the truck) or it is easy to forget and then your ride gets scratched up ... but yeah man the silica soap was great and hydrosilex recharge is expensive but gives such an amazing pop that I love it lol. The IK foamer has worked great so far. Intrigued by marolex sprayers from DPC too...
wish it was available love to try after the winter its autumn
It's a super fun product to use. I am strictly rinseless as a pro but on my truck I really enjoyed the silica soap. Gonna have to keep trying it on other coated vehicles...
@@HawkProDetailing looking forward to those videos and enjoy
I’ve used their stuff before , I didn’t get good results. It didn’t last at all. For the cost it doesn’t last long enough. And it’ll leave water spots because it doesn’t sheet. But who knows maybe I had some reside on my car.
You should check out some Tacsystem products.
Nice yeah I've heard of them. What's a favorite product of yours from their line?
@@HawkProDetailing Moonlight is pretty freaking awesome!

"I told the dealer don't scra... don't wash my car"
Man it's so true. I cringed when I saw it😥
like the orange nitrile gloves yo
My man! Thanks. Got them on autogeek I think. The only thing worse than paying for gloves is detailing day after day without them....
What type of micro fibers?
Those were short nap. I know the rag company makes a pearl weave that I really like. When Yvan Lacroix visited he chastised me for using the fluffy towels lol - he says short nap is safer and easier
How is that compressor working out for you?
The new dewalt? Great! Zero problems so far. I've made it a point to drain it every day too after use
@@HawkProDetailing that's good man glad to hear.
How do I fix tiny million rock chips from layton freeway dump truck driver on my cute blk car so sad
Oh no when did that happen? You could either get touch up paint or a re paint but the latter will be expensive. A clear bra might help in the future, but I typically recommend a full front end/hood clear bra and that is expensive too...
@@HawkProDetailing it happened Tuesday evil truck driver thought it was law even they had to cover loads thank you for info any ideas on good painters in Ogden Utah do you do touch ups
Contact brigham at superior automotive details in Riverton 👍
Riverdale! (Not riverton)
Someone would catch these hands if i told them explicitly not to wash my truck and they did anyway.
Oh trust me I was mad. But then I thought...what will complaining get me? Cant take back time. Now I won't take my Tundra back and that's that lol
Roads are a jungle 🤣
I hate that so much! Why why why do these dumb ass oil change dealers wash/scratch our cars when we tell THEM DO NOT WASH MY CAR!!???
Nick get back to your SPECIALTY interior / carpet detailing videos Everyone washes and polishes vehicles
There is a long winter ahead for interiors lol. What also bums me out about interiors is how hard they -- both physically, and then also hard to make money from because they take me so long 😥
How hard they are*
@@HawkProDetailing I agree I have learned more from you regarding interior/seat/carpet cleaning Thanks
@@tacticalofficer6103 I appreciate your comments my man. I have an idea for a seat cleaning video that I want to try very soon...
