I don’t think there’s anything better than watching a good looking girl with an awesome sense of humor detailing her car! Great video! Thanks!
Thank you Sarah for the long term review of the Hydrosilex, I have been vacillating about getting some for my F-350. Your review convinced me. Thanks again.
Thank you for your service (i'm a 69 year old Vietnam combat vet - Air Force). I appreciate your technical knowledge and your sense of humor. They go well together. And......I am actually learning something.
Love your sense of humor. Keep working with TFL!
I was so impressed with how easily you washed the vehicle with the pressure washer and the foam that I just ordered the canon and the soap. I have a white BMW convertible and I've been using Top coat F11 and it seems to be working great. I live in Florida and it is hot (not as hot as AZ) and humid, I love washing my own car, (I do a lot better than car washes that cost $25, and I'm 73 yrs old so your system will work a lot better for me, not having to bend over and squat down. Thanks for sharing.
I could watch you all day... I ordered Hydrosilex after your initial review and it's worked great. It's been about 4 months and I am going to put another coat on. You rock Sarah!!
Hi Sarah,
Enjoyed the video. It is great to see honest, real world, independent products reviews like this. 👍
Hi Sara, just recently subscribed and love your videos on how you detail your forester and what products you’ve tried. Also I absolutely love that you’re a dork like the rest of us. Keep being yourself in your uploads :)
Subbed, not because you look good (because you do) but because i love you’re sense of humour and you detail cars, awesome!
Tankx for the update. I was wondering how it was holding up. Notice you haven't done a detailing video in a while. Always fun to see you...
K, I've watched for months, but this time cannot resist just saying that... you are hands-down the prettiest youtuber ever! 💜
Glad you did a follow-up! I've been wanting to get a ceramic coating on my cars, but I don't want the hassle of doing it myself, and I also don't want the expense of paying someone else to do it. Hydrosilex saved the day! I know it's not a true ceramic coating, but it still gets the job done. I bought a big bottle of Hydrosilex based solely on your first review of it. I came back to your channel just to say "thank you" for introducing me to it. It works really well. It's easy to apply. It's easy to buff. It doesn't take forever to use, unlike Adam's H2O. And it seems to last.
Good content Sarah - your editing skills are superb and fun to watch.
Great vid, awesome movie/tv show references! Love your garage! I was on the fence about about Hydrosilex but your vid pretty much convinced me. 😎
Loved the vid and forest grump looks very sparkly and shining
These are my types of favorite videos. You taking about car stuff and reviews :-)
Thanks for all the forester xt content. I just got a 2018 xt in pearl white too and seeing yours gets me stoked! Even just the detailing tutorials are great. Aloha from Honolulu!
Such a good combination of information, humor and beauty ( the Subaru).
Good demo and liked your humor in this video as well.
Thanks for the update. Great product with a quick and easy application. Love the snappy humor and the shirt. Keep up the great content. Women + cars = 🔥
Nice job Sarah! Great editing!!
LOL Sarah loved your sense of humor and video!
Another great video, Sarah. Looks like the ceramic coating is holding up well. I'm on the fence about ceramic coating, so your insight on it helps a lot. Keep up the great work.
Read a reply above. This is not a true ceramic coating. It's a refresher product which is tricky marketing to say it's a good polymer spray sealant (should be for its cost). I found this out on my own research b4 I read the early post. True coatings are products like Opticoat and Ceramic Pro. There are a lot of fake ones like F11 (another sealant).
@@jimnielsen4076 I've used ceramic pro9, any thoughts?
If I could go back in time 20yrs, I'd try harder to meet a woman like you who is into cars like this. WOW!
I love your project car videos, but it was nice to see a new car detailing video. :)
I like your sense of humor. I think you're funny!😂you got my sub!👍
I love your videos and love the edits with the Tacos. Have a nice day.
Sarah,
From my experience of detailing, rinseless washing gives the best result especially in a desert environment. I’m in Vegas weather and I use optimum no rinse in my garage. I wash as if I have soap with ONR and then do a final wipe with ONR/distilled water towel. Zero water spots and I can let the moisture evaporate on the panels.
I do not use my foam cannon any longer as that process feels a lot more exhausting in the desert heat.
If the car is very dirty I may blast it with the garden hose and all purpose cleaner on the lower panels first. Then drive in the garage and do rinseless wash.
Another great video Sarah!
I've been using the Hydrosilex on my 2000 Saleen, which is certainly not daily driven at this time. But the finish remains very slick, very shiny, and dust/dirt doesn't stick. And in humid....VERY humid Florida.....where wax doesn't stick during the summer......this stuff works and sticks and lasts great. I've also put it on my daily driver 2018 Sonata, and it works pretty good there too. Next cars to get it are my parent's two BMWs. Overall I think its a great product, and I'm sold on it.
Sarah First; you are absolutely Stunning!! Appearance and personality ❤ Awesome review!!
Creeper
Hey Sarah! Love your channel. Just a tip I have the same pressure washer and foam cannon and I has a similar problem with the foam not really sticking to the car and I upgraded the foam guns orifice. Not only does the foam get thicker even with a coating it sticks longer dissolving the dirt particles and I am very pleased with the results. Hope this helps. By the way you’re Gorgeous! 🙂
I have a private"well water" supplying my house. Yes I live in the "sticks". Also included for well water is a water softener. It is possible to put a bypass on softener. Im not a plumber and i did it. Another option is tap into line before it enters the softener and have a dedicated garage tap of untreated water. Keep the vids rolling. .
This is my new favorite video thank you Sara for doing a detail video I think I might watch it a few thousand times lol just kidding lol but you did a awesome job
sarah you are always so entertaining thanks for sharing
Your videos are Beyond awesome !!! From content to presentation!!! ☆☆☆☆☆ ❤
Great job Sarah, please keep Forest clean!!!!!! Yes I will try out this product from amazon!!!!!!!
Information, humor and beauty . Much love.
Sarah, either you have the foam cannon set for very low foam or you need to do a nozzle rinse. You should see it stick like thick memory foam on the car (best description I could come up with LOL!) After about 2 or three washes I remove the soap dispenser and just run water through it to clean the nozzle. If it hasn't been done in awhile run hot water through it. (I have a hot/cold water spigot in my garage) The soap can block the holes when it dries. Once again another fine video. I use a different product than Hydrosilex but pretty much the same stuff. (Tacos/tacos LOL!)
Holy crap! I could never hope to get my car as clean as yours, Sarah. Especially considering mine is a hand-me-down from 2002!!! And it already had a lot of imperfections in the clear coat. Oh well. I can do my best. I'll send you a picture if you want me to. Love from Michigan!
Sarah -n- Tuned great video and thanks for your service in the military
Great video Sarah, i'm now going to purchase some hydro
Well done Sarah. I think the coating performed well. At least it looks like it did from here. 😊
Great to see Forester keep up the good work will try coating my Forester
I would watch you do anything but you definitely have cars and entertaining down!
Like your choice in top Sarah lol and because of you i have that same pressure washer 😁
I used to work at a Ford dealership and undercoated, rustproofed and also paint sealed cars/trucks. You wash the car well. Then you apply the sealant ,or in your case the ceramic infused spray. after that dries you then apply again. Only after 2 coats do you buff it as the second coat is to fill in microscopic flaws in the first coat. This then can repell dirt but not actual clumps of dirt. Yet they can be removed easier with a wash. Also you never ever use a cloth like you showed. That is for washing dishes. you need a quality true microfibre cloth as the one you used will remove the product you just applied .
Love your vids. Cheers
I love the Forrester, Sarah!
Yes! Buy some trail runners with synthetic wicking socks so you don't damage your feet on desert work or long walks in Vegas.
Thanks Sarah, great job, i bought it and it seems pretty and my ST is Black.
Hello Sarah, I first of all I like your videos on your project vehicles, and may I say Forrestor gump looks pretty tight and love you tearing into them and being meticoulas on fixing or upgrading them for a reborn life, overall I too like cleaning my ride Mazda 3 here in North Texas, and yes it does get dirty and dusty year round and would love to not be always having to wash frequent than normal, the bugs on the hood are the worst, lol. Zoom zoom😉
Nu Finish, in the orange - liquid or paste containers is my favorite. I only use the liquid. Called the once a year polish but I apply it more than that. Caution: Don't get on rubber or flat black parts, harder than most to remove.
moonlighter6 on good paint the Nu Finish is fantastic but for older paint jobs I find Meguires cleaner wax to be superior in every way.
Sarah, what do you think about the potential for carbon buildup in the FA20 since it's direct-injected? I'm debating whether I want to start periodically running the Subaru upper engine cleaner kit -- there doesn't seem to be much of a consensus in the community about it.
You washing your Subie makes me look back at mine :'( .. I used to love the Subie for monsoon/rain weather, it was the funnest speeding.. Now i'm inspired by an SS! :D
Thank you for the review.... Looks like a really good product.... I got to get some too!
I like the way that you did this video. Based on what some of the comments have to say, that coding does not appear to be an actual ceramic coating. That said, it seems to have done a fairly good job of protecting the paint for the amount of time it's been since you put it on.
Now, it's time to talk about that top. I think while it's still summer you should think about doing some of your videos in a bikini. I think the other viewers and subscribers to your channel would agree.
Your experience turned out a lot better than mine. I bought this for my 2015 Dodge Dart since the paint holds dirt and bugs on it like glue. After one wash, it was no longer slick :( Anyway, great video, and glad yours worked out well for ya. I really do enjoy your detailing vids.
Production of the vids just keep getting better. Great Work! Do you think the heat in your garage effects to detailing products? I wonder about that sometimes. I live in Scottsdale and I swear my garage is like an oven sometimes.
Good review. I like your testing method. I think the product works well as a high cost polymer sealant. It's not a ceramic coating. It has no hardness to protect the paint. I'd like to know how long further it lasts and how much of the bottle it took for your 1st application? Concerns I have about ceramic coatings are 1)many of the products sold are fake (f11 originally advertised it was one) real ones include Opticoat and Ceramic Pro 2)many body shops will not repair cars with a coating. If do it costs a lot due to having to sand all clear coat off 1st. I live in a snow state where others hit your vehicles. 3) if someone does not take the time to 1st get their paint perfect (you did) they're stuck with defects. Maybe what you are using is a good compromise as long as you know it's a sealant.
awesome video again. you rock and great wash job
Great sense of humor
The reverb in your audio when you flip the camera in the garage sounds hilarious lol
I like how you Blow off your car instead of a shammy or micro fiber, very professional! 👍
eyyy... did some detail work myself this week. Going to look into some of that coating myself.... Maintaining on a 17' wrx 14' passat and a 00' Grand Cherokee is a chore... sweaty chore. XD
RUN FORESTER! RUN!!
That's some perfect Texas attire, breathable, fun.
I've been using Hydrosilex for over a year and a half now and I do like the product a lot and use the dry method with a two coat application a week apart then dont re apply a coat for 7 months here in Michigan
Hi Sarah, I really enjoyed your videos, it inspired me try compound and polish my ride, what kind of water softener are you using? I have black car and water spots are real, challenge down here in FL.
I should have watched the whole thing before commenting. For water spots look at CR-Spotless systems, I live in FL where the water is horribly hard, the water that comes out of the CR system shows 0 on a TDS meter. I literally reverse the wet car into my garage and it dries with no water spots. The reason why your softener leaves spots is because it's meant to be used for water consumption so it doesn't remove all minerals (drinking water with zero minerals is bad for you, dehydrates you believe it or not) the CR system on the other hand takes everything out, it's like washing your car with distilled water.
also lived in florida... worst water ever lol
Hey Sarah, yes with the foam gun we can see that the coating is still on because the foaming is not 100% so you do have some protection on Gump All the best SoulDave
i love that Top combination!
Sarah loving the vids gorgeous and funny WINNING
Just FYI, the Orange 15° nozzle is usually not used for washing the paint, tends to be a bit too much of a direct high pressure stream. You should generally try to use either the green 25° or even better the white 40°.
I wish you were still doing ooo shiney as I'd hire you to detail my truck because of your knowledge and attention to detail...though I'd be so embarrassed that I'd probably try to detail it first...I guess I just need to get out there and detail it myself regardless.
Love all the videos but the detailing ones in particular as it is new knowledge more so than the repair and project vids.
Thanks, Sarah.
jaelonquixote The car builds have grown on me
Ramon Me as well. I can't work on my truck where I live now so I get my wrenching fix satisfied a bit by watching Sarah and others work on their cars. I've been thinking about trying to find a garage to rent just so I can work on cars again. It's crazy how few houses around have garages. :(
I’m gonna ceramic coat my butt so I never have to wipe again.
😂🤣😂🤣 class...that's good!!
Ben thats funny there im on the floor
Ben mate...am going to put you forward for the comment of the year award!! (If they was one)
🤣🤣🤣that might start a new trend and put out CHARMIN and all the other TP COMPANIES out of business. 😂
Genius
Some people here in Canada swear by ceramic coating and get that plus anti-rust treatment as their two treatments. You’re from New Hampshire; I’d be curious if you’d give a think and do an episode on paint care in frozen climates like ours, maybe on a visit to your frozen hometown. Also you’re great and I’m always a little surprised how much I enjoy your vids.
I have a bottle of Hydrosilex but have been on the fence about applying it. They say to get proper results you are supposed to strip everything off your paint before applying the Hydrosilex. I currently have a very good carnauba wax called Pinnacle Souveran wax which looks and protects extremely well and I hate removing it just to test an unproven ceramic coating.
Girl, you have more gadgets in your garage, I am jealous.
love it when mom makes some orange robotic 🍪 mmm
Frickin finally after searching these spray coatings videos, a video of "after 6 months lets check it out" ….instead of "I'm spraying this on" and after 5 minutes " ya I'd say it's a good product"
Thanks! I'll even Sub and hit that little tacobell for updates ✌️
Love your videos 👍 you rock 🤘.
I need a recommendation for faded black plastic trim. My trim on my BMW X5 looks terrible, I need help.
Always entertaining!
Sarah -n- Tuned you're unbelievable. too bad I will never meet you personally. Simply perfect ... Einfach nur Perfekt 😁😉👏
Interesting and informative video, but my question is does your foam smell like bubble gum as it does in the drive thru car washes?
Nice demo, have you tried The Car Guys synthetic polish? Keep up the great content!
Oh Sarah you sure can rock jeans shorts OMG😘😘😘
Question, what did you use to get your black trim to stay so black and clean? I have trouble finding anything good.
Happy Friday Sarah 🐵
Have you looked into getting a Simple Chuck water deionizer to prevent water spots? I'm considering it as same up here is Phoenix with dang water spots.
Awesome video Sarah, Get a water deionizer this will help or eliminate water spotting take care always.
Hey Sarah just got my giventh thy beans shirt today and it matches your pressure washer. Although I think the sword should have been a wooden spoon and a can of beans in the other hand would of been more on point. On a separate note would you recommend applying this or any other ceramic quick spray on a freshly painted car?
Great review. I’ve had hydrosilex on my Wrx for a few weeks now and noticed the same thing with dirt and what not still sticking, especially driving in the rain. But it comes off SUPER easy.
Also curious what set up do you use for your air compressor for blowing the water off? Your set up looks great. I usually just use an electric leaf blower but it doesn’t have that much pressure
were did you get the hard water softener? I have well water and its very hard.
Ceramic is much better than clay bar, compounding, and carnauba wax melting in the sun and sucking in all the scuz in the atmosphere. But, it doesn't have that super wet look. I was at a car show and there is some new stuff that is incredibly wet looking. Ya know, since you live in the desert, if you find a super product, it's a winner!
Having some trouble concentrating on the car talk today Sarah, not sure why. 🙂 I will check into the ceramic coating for my new car though. Good info, keep up the good work!
Thank you Sarah for the outstanding video. Going to order both and give it a shot. Your paint is gorgeous by the way.
Good work, Sarah. Kind greetings from Poland :-)
Just your commentary alone made me subscribe ....spider poop!! Bahahaha
I bought the hydrosilex on your recommendation, pretty good. Maybe 4 months since.
coating seems the same as Angelwax Enigma QED Ceramic Detailing Spray -- makes it easier to clean/wash, lasts for months -- good update video. Better than Wetcoat/Aquacoat for sure.
