I love Van Morrison's Crazy Love. I also like the song he wrote as a teen and performed as the lead vocal for the band, "Them." It's the ultimate garage band song and has been covered my many artists. I think both of these songs warrant a reaction video.

Throw in the live It's Too Late to Stop Now album and the live version of Cleaning Windows... the Veedon Fleece album while not perfect also has a spot in my heart... something special about it.
"These Are the Days" is another great song, and I think "If You Love Me" is touching, too. I know the Philosopher's Stone album is old outtakes and maybe not quite as great as his other work, but "Bright Side of the Road" is a genuine delight.
You will love Van Morrison’s “Astral Weeks” - seven minutes of musical bliss.
This is a song you play at the end of a bad day, dancing outside with this kids. Just appreciate the most basic and vital thing to us, family & love.

I've been a fan of Van for a long time but just recently discovered this song. Blown away! Don't know how I missed it for so long.
Always loved his voice. Also love everyone's suggestions of Tupelo Honey, Moondance, Brown Eyed Girl, etc. Years later I heard him singing with his grown daughter and it was absolutely beautiful, she has such a pure voice when singing with him. Great music.
Side B of Into The Music, when the LP was released the comment from the Rolling Stone reviewer was the best ever.
Van has an extensive catalog of music. Blues,Gospel, Jazz, Soft Rock, Irish Folk.

Try “It Stoned Me” and “Moondance”, to of Van’s strongest songs. You won’t be disappointed! You are doing a good job. It’s fun watching you hear songs for the first time. It reminds me of when I heard them for the first time on FM radio when they were released!

I believe this song was in the film "As Good As It Gets" starring Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt (which would be a good film for their movie channel). The song was in the film when Jack was putting in a tape in his car with this song on it. Jack, Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear were taking a road trip together. I love this song and Van Morrison is an amazing artist. Also, if you haven't seen "As Good As It Gets" I would definitely recommend it. Nicholson and Hunt both won Lead Actor and Actress Academy Awards for this film which is the last time this happened.

You’d love his really early stuff. Check out when his group was THEM doing Baby Please Don’t Go (live) or Gloria. Then later he’s got Domino, Wild Night, Blue Money, Moondance, Tupelo Honey, Caravan and so many others!! He still tours-I saw he’s getting back to Skiffle.

His voice IS deeper. He's much, much older than his recordings from the sixties and seventies. It's from 1995. I saw him about 5 years ago and he's now singing a deep baritone but perfectly pitched and soulful was ever. 😁

Van had been performing around 30 years when this came out. The backing vocalist is a guy called Brian Kennedy who has had his own music career since he was a backing singer for Van

Van’s “Avalon Sunset” (multi Grammy-winning) album is incredible.
My personal favourites from the album are (in no particular order) “Orangefield”, “Daring Night”, & “These Are The Days”.
Van sings quite a few songs about our native Belfast/NI, two such songs are the aforementioned Orangefield (the district of East Belfast were he met his first love), it’s a beautiful song, and “Coney Island” , a song which is in the spoken word (NOT sung). A quite unique song that really grows on you. Coney Island is a small community in County Down, Northern Ireland, and the song is about Van and his friends on a day out (driving).

I saw him live in Vegas in 2022 and he’s AMAZING. A straight up BADASS!

His duet with Cliff Richard “Whenever God Shines His Light” is worth a listen.
Days like this is Van putting a little spin on that particular saying - it usually means when we have a rotten day and we all shrug our shoulders and say 'There's always going to be days like this ' but the twist in Van's song is he's describing the perfect day when everything is going your way and the negatives aren't coming around for dinner tonight so everything is sweet. Van does mention some negatives and makes us feel good because on this particular day we know we're safe from them . Maybe it's not even a day as such but a perfect moment or a perfect afternoon or listening to a perfect song (maybe that's why we feel safe and free from worries when we hear good music because during the time when we let the music take us away we're having a 'day like this ').
As he gets balder and rounder, his voice gets richer and smoother. Van is The Man.

This is very much modern Van Morrison, from 1995. Brown Eyed Girl was 1967 and Into the Mystic was 1971. His 1999 album Back on Top may be his best modern album, but he continues to release them every year or two.

Van Morrison has a wonderful song, one of my favorites called "Coney Island". When I say song it's a piece of poetry spoken over beautiful music, that inspires wonderful feeling.

Day's Like This came off Van Morison's twenty third studio album released in 1995. This is one of my favorite albums. This song I'm suggesting, is a live performance by Van Morison playing a song he wrote and is on his 1968 album "Astral Weeks" "Van Morison - Cypress Avenue 9/23/1970, Fillmore East, New York, NY (Official)" you can definitely hear the fusion of jazz and blues in most of Van Morison's style of music. "Someone like you" is a song that makes you feel like you're in love. Van is the best! Btw, his music has been used in a lot of movies, over the closing and even sometimes over the opening credits, especially romantic movies. The movie Belfast the entire soundtrack is Van Morrison siince he's Irish.

Van Morrison has so much soul. He is one of my very favorite performers of all time. I got to see him with Etta James if you can imagine when I was probably in 7th grade. Into the mystic was just coming out I believe and it was that to her. He's still rocking it still putting out the great music and I have bought his last couple of albums and love to listen to them. He's got another one coming out next year. And I'm preordering that copy of that. Know, too, that he can play every instrument you hear in his songs.
This song was released in 1995. Another masterpiece by Van, beautifully produced with great horn presence. One of Van's favourite tunes to perform in concert.

There is nothing sweeter than a hot summer day here in Australia lazily relaxing with a cold drink and Van Morrison Astral Weeks playing in the background. He can make me drift off to another place. Ty guys do more Van the Man! I very highly recommend a very rare one for all who love Van called "Across The Bridge Where Angels Dwell" my all time favourite.

It's been driving me crazy because I know this song was in a movie. It took me awhile but I got it. It's in the movie Michael, with John Travalta.

I'll Be Your Lover Too is probably the best song he EVER recorded. It's from pretty early in his career and is one of his lesser known numbers, but it is AMAZING, it really deseerves SO MUCH more love than it gets.

One of the few barely mentioned is "I'll be your lover too". Another you should check out, either with him or his band Them, is a Bob Dylan song he totally owns - "it's all over now ( baby blue)".
Reminds me of the movie "As Good As It Gets". Jack Nicholson tried to 'get the girl' by putting this song on a mixtape for their road trip. Great movie, perhaps worthy of your next movie review! Star studded cast with at least three or four story lines that would be great movies by themselves.
