I think its a good thing, he's showing a bit of positivity and passion for the job. If Liverpool had a problem with him speaking out they wouldn't have briefed all the journalists about his imminent appointment, its probably quite advanced now. Feyenoord fans were singing his name after last nights victory, I don't think they are disrespected by him.

Agree fully with you. We never heard from Klopp before he signed. Better to stay quiet until its signed and done and the club is ready to introduce him

Totally agree dunk. It's sort of different to how liverpool do things. Usually we are a very private club. And do lots of things under the radar. Maybe it's just down to lack of experience and he's bot been at a club as high profile as us. My worry is how does he handle things when the pressure is on. Say like the last 6 games of a season when we are fighting and mind games come. Can he handle that.

It doesn't count as flirting or disrespect if the clubs are already in negotiations and everyone knows it. That was different in Amorim's case as there was no contact (reportedly).

Let,s get the facts correct Ruben Amorim is not letting the club or fans down as the club and fans have always been made aware of what was happening, if we look at what he has done during his time at the club we can not be upset but thankful for all he has achieved with half of the investment compared to clubs like Benfica or Porto.

You are wrong. That’s the way he is, honest and respectful. We as Feyenoord supporters know his ambitions and that the PL is where he wants to go. When a club like Liverpool come we understand he wants the job and we accept it because it’s
Liverpool and not Tottenham. A worldclass club at a different level as Feyenoord. We are so thankful for his work at Feyenoord that we think he deserve our support for this big chance in his career. Doesn’t mean we want him to stay at Feyenoord but it’s same with players when a bigger club comes they will leave. That’s the realism of a Feyenoord supporter.

Anyway the most important thing Is that he knows Liverpool is a different ball game and that next year there will be high expectations to win the league. He’s not coming to build the club he’s coming to compete man city and the other clubs and win trophies. This is not going to be an easy ride for him !

He’s got previous for it, he gobbed off at AZ Alkmar before the Feyenord job and got sacked before his time.
Guessing you've seen Ornstein's segment about Slot on the Atlantic site. It's well worth a look if you haven't. There might be quite a few positives with Arne, though it will be a gamble. I'm with you, if he's our guy just get the deal done so we can move on.

I agree wholeheartedly. Lfc has never used a megaphone with any of their business in the market. Always under the radar, which is what most of us true fans appreciate. We just go out and get the job done with as little fanfare as possible

However, the more I think about - it is fantastic!!!!!
He has three clear options:
1. Make no comment and pretend it doesn’t exist (treat fans like fools)
2. Deny the rumours “I am focused on Feyenoord” (lying the the fans).
3. Tell them the truth.
In all other walks of life, honesty is a sign of character.
In football, fans have become so accustomed to lying and deception (drama in transfers in particular) that we feel uncomfortable when someone does something decent.
I don’t think his comments have impacted Liverpool or Feyenoord at the negotiation table. It favours Liverpool if anything but Feyenoord know we will pay for him.

Unlike Amorin and Alonso it was already in the public that Feyenoord had been contacted all he has said is he would like the job but it may not be up to me. I like the fact that someone actually wants to manage us and hasn't played silly games like Amorim

I agree but imo should his current club not be controlling what he can and can't say as hes still under contract. Having said that some of our players are obviously not bothered about talking to other clubs while still under contract because its obvious some are already half out the door judging by last 3 or 4 performances

I watched Feynoord last night. They looked a decent outfit? 👌 However, Liverpool are not them. Point being he hasn't won the League currently 3rd. Should Liverpool not be looking at a Manager who actually wins and has the creds to be able to do it. I think also in relation to this circus. Sadly that's what it's become. A BAD REFLECTION ON CEO. Have you spent any time in the Netherlands? That’s just how things work there. Honesty is valued over “feelings” and “class”. A response that was essentially a non-answer would have been more “classless” in the eyes of most Dutch people I know.

I know what the Dutch are like but the Dutch are also known for their social values - this guy could have just said there is nothing to discuss and waited for the confirmation. He’s already showing more of a Brendan Rodgers personality than Jurgen and I know which manager I couldn’t stand and which one I loved since day one
