It’s just the facts people won’t accept, I mean these guys are persistent, they pout like small children as soon as something doesn’t go their way, and that’s just how they’re gonna be, the best thing to do is just to avoid responding to them. At the end of the day they’re just sensitive losers who can’t take an opinion.

This is why I *only* obsess over Dr stone, it’s the only community I regularly hang out in. Other anime with huge communities can be pretty bad at times, for example the big three, Attack on titan, demon slayer and Chainsaw Man. Especially Csm, I will never touch the community, I really liked the anime but I’m terrified of spoilers, I’ve already heard quite a lot and I’m not taking another risk. (I’m sure there are good people though)
Don’t get me wrong, I do watch popular anime, I just usually avoid the fandoms.
From what I’ve experienced, the Dcst fandom is pretty chill, I’ve met a lot of amazing people that love the show as much as I do, if not more.

About anime becoming mainstream i think that it's a double Edge sword,on One Hand when more people get into anime the industry decides to do more of it,however the community Also becomes extremely Toxic with elitists,shippers, fanboys and haters(just look at solo leveling)so yeah anime becoming mainstream is good and bad at the same time Also anime kind of became a trend

As much as people don't like to admit it, gatekeeping IS a needed thing. Without any level of gatekeeping, you get people like the "localizers" who admit they "localize" by trying to change the meanings that the manga or anime intended to meet their own interests, while claiming it's for the readers. It's not.
No surprise that the vitriol towards the author of Attack on Titan was online only. Most of the people with toxic attitudes are babies who would never have the guts to say anything to anyone's face 😂.

It's important to keep in mind that a huge portion of "anime fans" on the internet are undoubtedly young teens (maybe even pre-teens) going through their edgelord phase. The toxicity probably gets magnified on the internet because of them. Another thing that doesn't help the online anime community is the culture they've made online. The ones that like places like 4chan have a nasty tendency to talk like everywhere is 4chan. What could pass as "banter" or "harsh criticism" on 4chan would probably look like pure unadultered harassment and threats to anyone that thinks Twitter gets "spicy." I bet a lot of the most vile things being said are from idiots like this that talk a big game, but probably rarely even leave the house.

Personally, overall, I'm indifferent when it comes to Kobeni. I can understand why people find her annoying, but can you blame her? Not only was her only other option for work was sex, not only was she terrified for her life, there's also her coworkers, two of which are psycho devils.
What REALLY bothers me isn't the hate Kobeni garnered but the hypocrisy behind it. You know those people are either fans of Makima, Power, or both. First off, Kobeni gets shat on for doing just about what any of us would do in her shoes, yet Power's very obnoxious, selfish, childish, a compulsive liar, and loud as hell. In addition she doesn't flush, clean up after herself, and tried to get Denji killed for a cat. But Kobeni gets on people's nerves? OK.
And then you have Makima, a woman in her mid20s, who's honestly very sus, and overall a cold, manipulative person, making Denji, a 16 year old boy, her "dog", and threatened to kill him should he disobey. People are OK with her being a child groomer, but when someone goes on Twitter and releases AI generated images of Makima as a loli, all of a sudden THAT'S where we draw the line, the person who made the tweet is a "pedo".

Funny thing is I watched the Chainsaw man Anime (didn’t read the manga) and I seriously did not get annoyed at Kobeni, she literally said it was either Devil Hunter or sex worker, which she didn’t want either of them, I put my self in that situation I would definitely have the same reaction but many Anime reactions channels don’t do, they mostly are idiots.

It's not entirely good. Hard core fans need to gatekeep their communities because a lot of newcomers just come into the fandom because the series got mainstream and they want to change fundamental aspects of the anime because they don't like it.
