I hope this is addressed. They need to fix this. Ive said this before. But this has been an issues in anime industry for years. Lets hope something is actually done soon
Animators bring too much joy to this world to be treated so badly. Not much we can in the west but bring to the forefront. I hope everyone doesn't just forget about in a month when the next thing comes around. I love anime and the people who bring these characters to life deserve the world
I always had thought stuff like this was obvious once they decided to take on AOT, the 3D animation in it made me wonder how the animators were, and both Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man being released alongside AOT and just about everything that Mappa was taking on made me question how their animators felt, and of course this would be the outcome.
I wish there was a way, as a consumer, to get my money to the people in the trenches instead of the greedy suits that create these sweat shops. My brother who works for wb animation at least makes a good living.
It's just...... hard to find a way to channel my support for these animators, i have to resort to pirate viewing not by choice, tried netflix and its garbage, crunchyroll as well
Well, guys, if it all goes to crap, at least we still got years and years of anime/manga in the vaults; to fall back on. But I do hope the industry revolutionizes, when these people are putting so much passion and skill into there work; they deserve the fruit of there labor; and guy's if you aren't plz, learn to be more appreciative and considerate of the authors and animators. Animation is extremely hard, tedious, and very redundant. If we want this medium of entertainment to be maintained; we as the consumers need to play our part's and express our support; with our words and wallets.
Mappa has blessed us this year with high quality products such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Vinland Saga, Chainsawman and Attack On Titan. I believe that the best way to show these hard working animators our gratitude is by supporting the official release, that way they will be able to keep their jobs and not become unemployed, which is almost like a death penalty in a country like Japan.
This means I should be sure to boycott MAPPA completely. I only watched Hell's Paradise, so I cannot even afford to watch a second work by them. I could probably do the same for other companies that are the blackest of all black companies.
@@245xanxus I do watch a lot of anime on pirate viewing websites nowadays, so I don't suppose the next thing you say to me is I'm not even supporting every studio if I'm not buying physical.
No because we will start pushing our values and restricting there creativity. A better solution is for more animators to take a stand and to petition a union.
You might want to look up videos about the woke people changing what anime characters say in dub. They are inserting gen z humour (words like rizz) and politics into anime. They have insulted many people and have been very uncaring and disrespectful to japanes culture by doing all this. There are now videos of japanese people finally being aware of whats been happening and they are going to replace those people with Ai. It's a very risky and bad idea to let any westerners get a foot into japan industries. You're intentions are good but there's a loot of evil afoot right now and it's not worth the risk at all. To be honest the deserve better working conditions but at the same time you shouldn’t feel bad for them sense that is their choice to work in a field or industry that is already like that for years but every one who loves anime should say please and thank you at the very least to the people who work on these shows.
dude what would you do if youve had a passion for something and the entire industry has been like that for a long time. they were probably optimistc at first but ended up finding themselves trapped in that workplace. That wouldn't work. Streaming services don't make money for animators, studios and maybe not tv producers. TV production makes money from Japanese television. Studios make money from Blu-ray sales which would be a good protest not to buy since only the studio earns that money and not the animators.
Theres just not much money in making Anime People pay hundreds for a piece of anime girl Gif in a gatcha game and turn around to pirate their Anime Its purely just passion that keep this industry afloat at this point.
Yes there is. If there wasn't there wouldn't be multiple studios at once. They just refuse to pay the animators properly. The only good anime studio is kyoani because they're actually fair to their employees. that's also the only studio that is kind to women. Goes to show that just because women are involved, it doesn't mean it's automatically crap. I'm highlighting this because the anime industry is revolving around a male kind of mindset, which is suffer for quality. They even have a daycare area for their employee's children so they don't have to worry about their babies/toddlers while they're at work!

I told AI to write this Japanese animators, listen up! I've got a bone to pick with you and your working conditions. Let me tell you, they're absolutely appalling. You work long hours, with little pay and even less recognition. It's a downright disgrace. You pour your heart and soul into creating these beautiful animations, only to be treated like disposable tools. It's time to stand up and demand better. Don't let the industry exploit your passion and talent any longer. This utilitarian mindset that values profit over people is absolute rubbish. It's time to put an end to it. We need to fight for fair wages, reasonable working hours, and proper benefits. You deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. So, my fellow animators, let's unite and make some noise. Let's demand change and refuse to settle for anything less. Together, we can break free from the chains of utilitarianism and create a better future for ourselves and the industry as a whole. No more working like slaves for pennies. No more sacrificing our mental and physical well-being for the sake of profit. It's time to take a stand and demand the respect we deserve. Rise up, my fellow animators, and let's rewrite the narrative.
