Yu Yu Hakusho at the top of S tier makes this the most accurate list there is. I don’t care what spot anything else is. That placement alone makes this a great list

I'm at least glad Vinland Saga is up there. Despite the sudden shift in season 2, it sacrifices certain good aspects of the series with great ones. A story that tells a powerful message.

I’m only 16 and have no money and no means to get to any anime expo. Anime is my life support, but i live in a town where not a lot of people like it. Shonen Showdown’s videos make me so happy. I love seeing the tierlists (even though cowboy bebop got did SO DIRTY it IS, IN FACT, S tier) I love seeing people who share my interests but also sad because I don’t get that. Anime usually comes from manga and manga comes from hopeful artists that for the most part have 0 writing skills and therefore the story is just bad. A good example is ppl hate on CSM but the creator actually has a really good understanding in how to tell a compelling story without boring an audience. Edgerunners is also a good example. OP glazers will never understand how a story could be told in even less than 20mins and possibly be better.

With anime it's usually the writing having no real substance and an over reliance on tropes that do nothing to actually push the plot forward but look cool. I also think anime would be better if the adaptions weren't so loyal to the source material? Most manga just won't make a good live animation/action story. All of the superhero movies/animated series that most people like adapted comic stories with changes that would fit the medium it was being changed to better. I do think the vast majority of anime fans (like 90%) have shit taste though.

Chimera ant arc first half is slow paced but the second half is straight 🔥 . I got impressed by togashi Sensei's writting and going for Yu yu hakusho

Ranking of kings. I understand you couldn’t put all of them in and it’s all centered on a specific style of anime. Ranking of kings is almost Miyazaki as a series, it gets everything right and can reach such a wide audience even outside of anime fans. The storytelling is well structured and balanced, there’s always something keeping you engaged. The characters are coherent and surprising, you never know exactly who to trust. It really hits all the boxes and has none of the annoying problems that keep coming back again and again in most shonens, those that we just accept now (we know 😅).
Ranking of kings is such a unique anime but its so damn fire man. They really hit with the setting. I wish more people knew about this amazing anime.

I know it's pretty basic but these were my first couple of animes and they are just too hard to top for me

some people stopped at season 2 where the peak of popularity dropped, did they drop it because it was bad? i doubt it, im pretty sure they dropped it because it was "overhyped" or they just stopped caring although the show was good.... i know this because i was one of them, with the show finally ending after 8 years of waiting and me rewatching it and continueing it can say with confidence it is my favorite show.
