I just bought the same boat! I started going thru your old videos, so many great ideas! Thanks for sharing Marty! I have many ideas for my new boat, thank you again!
I like the editing, the voice over , the light music in the background (not over bearing) . Keep up the great work .. I'm even considering one of these in the future
An honest video as usual. I enjoy all your videos!! Great introduction on handling this boat from and to your truck. Can't wait to see next video of you fishing in this boat.
Love the way you handle obsticles thrown your way, and your attitude towards life in general. Keep up the great work and videos, and I wish you the best life can give you.
Hey Zoff, were all human , mistakes happen, just glad someone was out there who showed Love like You did in Your Kayak Give Away. Wish that type of Love to Everyone in the World. Tight Lines.
Nice Marty . I know this is 3 years later but I bought a Pelican 10 e love this boat I have a Mercury 3.3 on mine alone with Trolling motor , Depth finder even made a pole holder for the front to hold 6 poles for when Crappie fishing , Catfishing . Keep the videos and mods. coming
Sorry about gas problem. Nice of them to tow you. Glad you showed this. I saw another video you did on it and thought it would be good for me I bought one of these today with electric motor.
Love your videos. You are a humble guy and I like that. I admit my mistakes as well. Please tell Pelican I like Pelican kayaks too and bought this because of you.
hey Marty. I got a kayak. went out this morning. only caught one bass. but just paddling was very enjoyable. I see now how beautiful out on the water can be vs fishing the shore line. it's all thanks to you and your inspirational videos. now time to work on some mods to the yak. such as GoPro's so I can start making my own adventures.
I have wanted something like this little boat when I go somewhere a little farther out and just don't want to paddle. They are not expensive either so it actually something possible when I have the money later. Thanks for the review. Hope we see a later video with some success.
Great Video! Funny how doing research on buying one of these boats will lead you to someone from the old neighborhood who you went to JHS with! Congrats on the biz and the youtube following!
wow Marty I love the extra effort you put to film some great shots. I bet its daunting to leave your camera at an angle drive away then come back and then to edit it all and cut out the xtra film. great stuff
You pretty much need those #'s if you put any motor (even an electric trolling motor) on any boat (even a kayak) unless you plan to use it on a private lake.
Marty this reminds me of the time I was to excited to go kayaking with some new equipment that I left my paddle at home and didn't realize it until my butt hit the boat pushing it away from the dock....... Lol that was one of those well shit.... Kinda moments
Nice video man. You have the patience of a saint. Would have been a whole lot of non family friendly language if that was me lol. In all seriousness, I admire your zen like attitude!
Hi Marty, I don't feel that bad now. Last Saturday I went Kayak fishing. I loaded the kayak with my gear, put in the water, and then proceeded to sit in it for the launch. While sitting in the kayak, I looked around and thought, what am I missing? No paddle! You figure out the rest.
Ha ha. I took my first kayak out for it's maiden voyage on the way home! Caught some nice fish too. I like that little rid, like you said, easy to use without a trailer, and much faster to get to spots. Is it legal the have a net like that, in my country it isn't.
Try it with a 40-55 pound thrust trolling motor. Quiet, and no smelly gas. To run out of. Or forget to fill up with. And you don't have to pull start them either. And you can adjust how deep they run. Or how shallow. Plus the battery can run lights, livewells, fishfinders, and charge your phone and camera. Being in Florida, you can put a solar panel charger on it and be good for a long time. Thanks for what you do for CZcams.
make sure the vent screw on top of the gas cap is open when you run it next time. i have a flat back canoe with a 2.5 suzuki on it and it would stall all the time first couple times i took it out. couldn't figure out why considering its practically a brand new motor. turns out it was getting vapor lock due to the vent screw being closed. so just a heads up. next time you run it, open it up while on the water. could save you a head ache.
Can't wait to see the next run in the Bass Raider ? I like the width of those ! Add an electric trolling motor ! Just a small clamp on style would push it fine. What is going on with the big boat ?
Dang Marty. you can do some camping /kayak adventures now. you can tow and stow the supplies on the kayaks and head out for a long weekend of camping and fishing. heck... bring some subscribers with you. .. I'm sure they'll be happy to pitch in.
It's been some time since you acquired that small craft. In that time have you had any problems with leaks? In my searching around for a small craft I have seen a number of social media comments that the pelican 10e develops leaks beneath that black band where Staples loosen.
Was eyeballing this boat at Dicks Sporting Goods last week. Being on the poor side of life I am debating on buying it next year. I know I can't afford a 10 HP motor so I was wondering if hooking a Min-Kota trolling motor on it would be worth the hassle or I may just stick to my kayak. Hope you can add a couple more vids on this thing,Marty. And thanks for all the work you put into this awesome life style.
Walmart Online has a 44# trolling motor for $90. It's not saltwater but at that price if I get a year or two is well worth the money and a great insurance policy.
hey U know how people say if U bring a bass boat to salt water it sink. I have that same one almost but mines closer to 12 ft &I know its mostly plastic but what about the propellers because I just have 2trolling motors on mines and was always weary of taking it to saltwater. did U change yours
The plastic boat is fine for saltwater and the motor is too. You should just flush the outboard with freshwater after a trip and rinse down the boat with a hose. I even had a 'freshwater' trolling motor for a while in salt and it held up ok.
Hey that's my blue dodge! Lol Been watching you since your first video. Just made my account and subscribed. I've been fishing the same areas as you. Would like to get together and fish Marty. I have a jon boat or flats boat. I have tons of questions about living on a boat as well. Get those lines tight!
He don’t really respond to messages . I doubt there will be any updates on this type of boat. He did another video on this boat but, still wasn’t that great .
I will say this. I live in the Tampa,FL area where kayaking is big business. I have demo'd a number of kayaks before I made a decision for a fishing kayak. It is in my opinion, this Ascend model is not built as well as the Pelican but they do have some higher end models that may be better. It came down to comfort to me. I love the speed, glide and EVERYTHING about the 120x but there is no back support leaving me to upgrade the seat. You cannot deny the Ascend seat is very comfortable and removable to enjoy in or out of the boat. I don't know if that helps, but definitely factors if your looking to fish like Zoffinger and I.
+TX Tony Outdoors - Fishing Shooting Geocaching Both are good yaks, The pelican is a bit faster but not as stable as the fs12 and is very solid. the fs12 is kinda like a cheaper version of a hobie pro angler, that meaning tons of flat surface , the hull is very stable but slower and tracks worse than the pelican, it has a great seat, and a great hatch. If I was flats sight fishing, without much needed water to be covered I would go with the fs12, and The pelican is a bit more versatile of a yak I would go with that one if you are not just fishing for reds.
I just bought the same boat! I started going thru your old videos, so many great ideas! Thanks for sharing Marty! I have many ideas for my new boat, thank you again!

You are a genius Marty !!!!!! So many mods Pelican should hire you for research and development of new products. Thanks for all the vids.
An honest video as usual. I enjoy all your videos!! Great introduction on handling this boat from and to your truck. Can't wait to see next video of you fishing in this boat.
Love the way you handle obsticles thrown your way, and your attitude towards life in general. Keep up the great work and videos, and I wish you the best life can give you.
can't wait to see more reveiws.I'm thinking of buying me one for the spring
You have a great mentality, attitude and Outlook dude... keep the vids coming.

I've had one for years. It's a great little boat. Even have bow fished two ppl standing up
looking forward to seeing it run and handling.
I always like a trolling motor for a backup. Thanks for sharing.
Zoffinder I love your videos I always watch them keep it up

Happy paddling!
+zoffinger any suggestions on get good cheap GoPro's?
i was able to purchase a Go Pro hero 4 on craigslist for $280. I would suggest ebay or craigslist if you want them for cheap
another great video Marty!
yes ! I really wanted to see this
I have one just like it and love it. Great boat with a small motor.

I love that little motor such a cool boat !
Great Video! Funny how doing research on buying one of these boats will lead you to someone from the old neighborhood who you went to JHS with! Congrats on the biz and the youtube following!
curious to see where this goes! hopefully another fish catching machine on a budget, like the red one😁
wow Marty I love the extra effort you put to film some great shots. I bet its daunting to leave your camera at an angle drive away then come back and then to edit it all and cut out the xtra film. great stuff
Nice production!
Badass I just sold my kayaks and am going to buy one of these in a few weeks thanks for the vid
I really like it.
+zoffinger do you need a fl number on that boat since you put a motor on it ????
You pretty much need those #'s if you put any motor (even an electric trolling motor) on any boat (even a kayak) unless you plan to use it on a private lake.

Love the videos you have luck like mine 👍🏻 keep the videos coming 🤘🏻🎣😎👊🏻
I have the same boat I use it for fishing in small ponds and some big lakes it's awesome

Cant wait t o see it actually run and be fished!
Maybe you could do a bit of bass fishing with that new boat. I would love to see that
We all learned from our mistakes...Great video
lol..good one, Marty. :) I liked the "cooler" boat. :) very nice.
Could you do a video where it shows how much room you have with both seats to both ends and two people on it
nice video marty
Thinking about either the Suzuki 2.5 or the Coleman 2.6 on an 8' Sun Dolphin. Which motor would you recommend? (Assuming they both had gas in them) :)
Nice vid as usual
make sure the vent screw on top of the gas cap is open when you run it next time. i have a flat back canoe with a 2.5 suzuki on it and it would stall all the time first couple times i took it out. couldn't figure out why considering its practically a brand new motor. turns out it was getting vapor lock due to the vent screw being closed. so just a heads up. next time you run it, open it up while on the water. could save you a head ache.
What is the music you use in this vid the bass line is amazing please let me kno
Awsome video
How fast does the motor go on top speed on this boat?
Can't wait to see the next run in the Bass Raider ? I like the width of those ! Add an electric trolling motor ! Just a small clamp on style would push it fine. What is going on with the big boat ?
Do you still have your shop on the water and do you do rentals
This boat seems great for using it in a small lakes and reservoirs here,in Europe...! Got to check the prices and are they selling it here...!
Sweet little boat
Marty you have any other pics or video of that cart? I want to do something similar for a small skiff I'm thinking about getting.
Cool little boat. Like to see more vids of it. Where is that water way? Looks like a great place to fish.
Are you going to try again with a full tank of gas? I really am interested in this and would like to see you put this thru it's paces.
hey Marty, does it have a way to row? It looks very roomy and comfortable but should have a way to row.
Dang Marty. you can do some camping /kayak adventures now. you can tow and stow the supplies on the kayaks and head out for a long weekend of camping and fishing. heck... bring some subscribers with you. .. I'm sure they'll be happy to pitch in.
Great vídeo sir! My dad just got something similar from bass pro shops and he is really comfortable fishing alone or with someone else. Thanks
A kayaker with no paddle in the boat?
ey I'm thinking about getting a sun dolphin excursion 10" do you think it's any good?
Do you think this would be big enough for to adults and 2 children? I have a local spring fed river near us but we don't want to get a big boat.
I'm assuming you put the sticker over the 5 on the engine cowl being boat is only rated for 3.5hp.........
I want to see you fishing in it, wish I could handle one!
How much did you pay for the motor and how much horse power is it
is the motor still running?
Do you have a primer bulb on that
Marty, what was the horse power on your Coleman outboard? This
Can you attach an external gas tank to that motor Marty?, I have a 6hp Yamaha 4 stroke and it comes with an external tank. great video.
Yes, you can add an external tank to it.
Where did you get the engine
What's the horsepower rating on that outboard
It's been some time since you acquired that small craft. In that time have you had any problems with leaks? In my searching around for a small craft I have seen a number of social media comments that the pelican 10e develops leaks beneath that black band where Staples loosen.
"We're a private environmental firm." I'm gonna have to remember that one . . .
Was eyeballing this boat at Dicks Sporting Goods last week. Being on the poor side of life I am debating on buying it next year. Will that motor hold up to salt water?
Walmart Online has a 44# trolling motor for $90. It's not saltwater but at that price if I get a year or two is well worth the money and a great insurance policy.
Agreed. I need that and a battery. Not in the budget. Yet.
been there!! that's why i kayak now lol no its good to try new things.
what kind of horsepower that motor has??
hey U know how people say if U bring a bass boat to salt water it sink. I have that same one almost but mines closer to 12 ft &I know its mostly plastic but what about the propellers because I just have 2trolling motors on mines and was always weary of taking it to saltwater. did U change yours

Make another vid on this boat plz
Dude! That's the kind of bone headed thing I do. LOL Fish on. Hey! Did the Coleman Motor come with the boat or did you put a Pelican sticker on it?
do you like this boat better than jon boat ?
Hey that's my blue dodge! Lol Been watching you since your first video. Just made my account and subscribed. I've been fishing the same areas as you. Would like to get together and fish Marty. I have a jon boat or flats boat. I have tons of questions about living on a boat as well. Get those lines tight!

Where can I request a boat
Hahaha the struggle is real..... good video dude
Where the boat updates??
Yes
Zoff or anyone who can answer this would you recommend either a pelican strike 120x or the ascend fs12t
Thanks in advance

You know me...
God is always looking out for you.
Absolutely 100 percent agree!
there's no "god".
+Thomas Kent You must be King Douche of the interwebs. All hail your useless opinion.
+Nerfin Merfitt not an opinion. a fact.
+texas fishin I bet you wouldn't notice God if he was right in front of your face. God IS the truth.
Please give update on the big boat.
It's on hold for the summer, but always on my mind....we'll get there...
