Old marty like his back to roots style like this video. its what drew a lot of us here. He as a person isnt old lol nore did he ever leave. I just like this style that he has always done so well. Love it. I am with you that I don't think some noise will hurt the fishing but I do think it will make them more aware of you being there and on edge. But just being quiet and more a part of nature is why I love kayak fishing. I am digging seeing you have the time to let your creative juices flow again. LOL!

Are you back in Florida for good? If so I don’t blame you a bit. It was great meeting you that day. The way you designed the controls for the dual set up was awesome. I am preparing to sell everything here and move back to Florida it’s been since 2010 since I last lived there I miss the warm weather and the fishing. Gene

Great content. Do you still have the Kon Tiki? Give a look at Blacktip Jetsports mat. We used it for skiff restoration projects. We couldn’t destroy it.

I used a yoga mat from Walmart that held up for over a year till I hit it with a presure washer when it got really dirty but I used 3m spray glue to stick it down I used a blow dryer to heat up the kayak a little before sticking it down then put weights on it to help stick it looked and worked awesome
have you ever used lightning kayaks? looking for more ways to customize mine, i really like the seat locks, you should patent that lol

I have an inflatable Intex Excursion Pro K2 (I don't have a lot of room or a big car to haul a big yak), I'm gonna be turning it into a portable DIY sailboat here soon. Would love to hear your ideas.

I agree,..fish will eat when they want to eat. I was once in a party cove cove in Lake Champlain (Thayer Beach - Burlington), Kids were jumping off the boat and swimming. I caught 3 , 16 inchish Smallmouth bass beneath the boat with nightcrawlers!
Looking forward to the pedal drive video. Mine squeaks LOUDLY and I'm not sure why. I've loosened the chain cables and the idler cable, I've sprayed silicone spray all over it, next up is disassembling the entire thing. Maybe your video can help!

Hey Marty, I’ve been a follower a very long time now probably since my first episode of watching you and Mike hit “rock-bottom” on the tour you guys did, anyway love the videos, keep it up, just a quick question, “aren’t you worried about mildew or any type of salt or fish guts etc. etc. laying in the mats?”
that's the same type of carpet people use on regular fishing boats all the time, never had it be a problem. Obviously you've got to clean any real messes you make, but that carpet is tough stuff!
Thanks Marty, another great video. Looks like a very worthwhile improvement to an already great kayak. Maybe these improvements your doing could be added to pelican's lineup of kayaks, as a custom shop line option. There could be a market for that. Expanding ones market share, would mean possible sales volume increase (money). It could over time improve Pelican market share over other kayak builders.

Any chance you could show me where to put the anchor trolley on my pelican? I'm confused. Do I put it on the top colored part or on the under-side where it is white. I use the pelican 120 exo. Ty!
