    You guys have done an awesome job modifying the boat. One thing I'll throw out to you is something I've done on my Pelican boat. I noticed that when sitting sideways in the boat, if you lean back too hard, the seat frame would pop out of the track. After a few hair raising close calls of going overboard, I found a solution. I put plumbers strap over the groove where the seat rails fit. Just one piece of strap over each side for each seat and it made a BIG difference. You can still feel the seat base start to slip, but the strap catches you and stops the fear factor or pucker factor from reaching a critical point. :) I just placed the straps far enough back to be able to pop the seat base into the track and then slide the seat enough to get the base under the strap. Like you, I didn't want to put anymore holes in the boat, but these were WELL worth it. I just put some mariner putty around the screws to seal them.

    Very nice review. I am trying to decide which boat to get this winter for next season in Indiana. I'm leaning Pelican Bass Raider 10E mostly because of your success. From the boat ramp, do u use both trolling motors to go to your destination faster? Or do you just rely on one until you reach that spot? I have 2 trolling motors and not sure if I should use both simultaneously. Great vid!

    • @fishingwithvance
      @fishingwithvance  Před 6 lety

      We do on occasion use both if trying to get there fast but mostly use the back motor to get from spot to spot and then the front motor to maneuver etc... if going fast, we usually raise the front motor for speed to avoid catching weeds etc.. both motors work great. It really comes into play when one guy catches a fish and is working to free him on a windy day. 2nd motor keeps you out of harms way.

    Question...your pole holders on the back....how secure are they? I'm thinking of using something like this to feed a "stick it anchor pin system" or "power pole spike" through to hold it in place if I mount it on the front or back. Do you think it would hold fairly well?

    • @fishingwithvance
      @fishingwithvance  Před 5 lety

      The pole holders work well for the fishing poles but honestly they do slide around by the base. I need to come up with a way secure the base. They hold poles but I don't think it would work for an anchor but not sure. Let me know if that answers your question. Thanks for watching.

    Do you need to get a insurance for this small boat?..is it a requirement ??

    • @fishingwithvance
      @fishingwithvance  Před 4 lety

      It is my understanding that your homeowners insurance would cover your small boat etc.. Any drinking issues on the boat will cause issues to not be covered I guess... Fish on!

      Yes love your review, awesome job, you and others help me make my decision, I order my boat from Bass Pro Shops, over here in Tampa Florida a week ago, and I also ordered a 4stroke 4Hp motor along with electric trolling motor and battery.

      What is your point ?

    • @lascivious9559
      @lascivious9559 Před 5 lety

      @@fishingwithvance just curious about the size of the boat(i know 10 feet) but he said in the beginning "we have all that wasted space" then he mentioned shrinking up the table to "create a little more room". I'm really thinking about downsizing but still want "enough" room. His conflicting statements confused me.

    • @fishingwithvance
      @fishingwithvance  Před 5 lety +1

      The table table is 48in X 24in. The first table is still my favorite but we have built smaller ones now that work much better on single man trips. I think he meant the dead space in the middle of hte boat prior to the table. The table makes it much easier to get to tackle. I really can't reach gear on the floor of the boat very easily. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
