      Star Girl 2,
You have heard that stupid story and accepted it as if it is fact.
Then you REPEAT it, so that other people will also believe it and repeat it.
      So what is the truth?
Around the time of their engagement, Charles told Diana that there had been 4 women, who had been "significant" in his life. (He had been an adult bachelor for 12 years).
H said that he was buy each of the four a gift, taking each out for a meal, and saying Goodbye.
You may not realise this, but Diana was the product of an unhappy childhood, in which her parents had split, and she was very resentful, and VERY jealous of their relationships.
JEALOUSY was a major part of Diana's life.
Because of her jealousy, she was frightened her father might fall in love with ne of her nannies, so she played up so badly that they kept leaving.
(Just stop and think about the results of a trained Nanny leaving her job in the house of an Earl, and saying to her next employer "I couldn't handle the Earl's little girl"........ the nanny would be lucky if she ever got another job.)
When Diana went to school, her un-coopeative behaviour continued, and despite the fact that expensive boarding schools are PAID A LOT to make sure that the daughters of Nobility get passes.... Diana failed...TWICE. Then she dropped out of Swiss finishing school, and dropped out of another course. She WOULD NOT cooperate.
When her father remarried, she slapped him in the face, and later, pushed her step mother down-stairs.
So Naturally, Charles didn't know any of this.
When he told Diana that he had bought four presents and was meeting these people to say goodbye, Diana started to rage with jealousy.
She would not accept his word. She suspected him all the time. She raged and sulked.
The person whom Diana chose to hate, in particular, was Camilla, who was a close friend and neighbour, as well as a woman with whom he had an occasional shag.
There is no reason to believe he was passionately in love with Camilla.
It is absolutely CLEAR that Charles was mad about Diana. You only have to look at the way he gazes at her, holds her and keeps kissing her hands, in various videos.
If Diana had played it cool, and just been NICE to him, everything would have been fine.
      Who had the advantages?
      Beautiful, charming Diana, obviously!
She was there to share his bed, talk to him over breakfast, and go out with him looking like a million dollars.
When they went away on their honeymoon cruise, she raged and sulked and screamed the whole time.
......... And just in case you bring up the cuff link story........ It was Diana's jealous paranoid mistake mistake. ........ all that the CC meants was that they came from the famous jwellery firm of Cartiers. overlapping CCs were the company logo.

I notice that you pick up on the presumption that I was NOT on the Royal Yacht Britannia at the time of the Honeymoon cruise. It is quite a ship... not a sailing type yacht. And it has a large staff. So you, if you don't mind me saying so, have no idea who was, or was not, overhearing Diana screaming and seeing her sulking at meals, and observing the Prince's distress and his efforts to comfort, console and reason with her.
The rest of the information comes from Diana herself, of course, so you are not bothering to question it.

Most of the informtion comes from Diana herself, as a matter of fact.
And with regards to the cuff-links you need to understand that Diana really was PARANOID. She was just suspicious all the time.
You need to take on board that this was a womn who managed to get FORTY employees sacked. That number is almost unimaginable- but it is the same person who as a child continually got her nsnnies to leave because she was paranoid about the idea that her father might fall in love with one of them.
Cufflinks. They were simply nice expensive Cartier cufflinks which had the company logo, CC on them. Diana mistakenly though tit stood for Charles and Camilla. Basically it was in her head.
If you have never had to deal with a person who is emorionally frgile, neurotic and narcissistic, then you don't know the problem.
You CANNOT make them happy for more than a few minutes at a time, becaus they are suspicious ALL THE TIME.
If you say "Your hair looks lovely today, Darling!"
They say "Are you saying that it doesn't usually look nice?"
That is the pattern of behaviour.
NOTHING Charles could do was going to be right. She didn't love HIM. She simply loved the idea of being wife of a prince who would one day be king.

      @@lindahandley5267,
There is a CULT surrounding Diana, like the cult of saint, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the person that Diana really was.
It has to do with her beauty and charm, the fact that the Royal Family allocated her the EASY jobs (nursing homes, chil;dren's hospitals, hospices, ALL of which have the heart-string component. (People would rather see a kitten on a cushion than a rat in a sewer).
The REAL Diana started out as a baby who was a disappointment.... her father the Earl NEEDED a son after the death of their baby boy.
This meant that Diana's mother, who was already cheating on her much older husband, was obliged to have baby number five, before she could leave him, OK?
Diana left five hours of recording- These are the things she said
She received no love or affection..
She was furious with her mother and tried to pay her out every time she saw her. In adulthood, she spoke to her mother sometimes, but was NOT speaking to her around the time of her death.
She was AFRAID that her father would remarry and did everything in her power to prevent it, including getting her nannies sack, in case he fell in love.
She Was FURIOUS when he remarried. She was a teenager. She went to talk to him and slapped him in the face.
She hated her step mother so much that she did a whole string of horrible and agressive things to her, including pushing her down a flight of steps, and throwing her in the swimming pool in an evening gown, knowing she could not swim.
She was sent to a posh girl's boarding school where they prepare the daughter's of nobility to take a place in the world. She mucked up and failed her exams. Given another go, she failed again.
None of this information is secret. It comes from Diana herself, and most can be heard in Diana's own voice, talking as an adult, but not showing even the tiniest bit of shame or regret over her own violent, disruptive behaviour.
Was she hell-bent on being Queen? WQell, she had told her sisters that she was going to marry a Duke, and when she moved to London, she had already met Charles (Duke of Cornwall) at least twice, and had his picture pinned on her wall.
Charles was the most eligible bachelor in the world, in terms of status, but he was not the most exciting by a very long way.
He was studious, rather eccentric, was ridiculed by the press for his environmental concerns, was far less up-front than his sister Anne who was an equestrian champion, he was not very handsome, and wanted to spend most of his time at his country home in Gloucestershire, farming and gardening. NOT enjoying London clubs and movies and music venues, like a young woman of twenty. Diana KNEW all this (EVERYONE knew this stuff)..... but she married him anyway.
She married him, EVEN THOUGH she was furious about the fact that he had had four previous lovers, and was still on friendly terms with them (and their husbands).
READ BACK over the way that she feared her FATHER might love someone else.
THAT was her problem with Charles. She lived in a paranoid state over WHETHER he still cared for Camilla, or Dale Lady Tryon. very day of their marriage she questnagged and whinged and suspected and accused........ the present.... the cufflinks...... the phonecall...... where was he on the night before the wedding.......?
All these questions came out of Diana's neurotic mind and are asked again and again and again by her pathetically stupid CZcams followers.
They are all SDURE that Charles cheated on her.
      .
BUT..... there is NO EVIDENCE that he did.
Five years later, when Diana, who Charles could not satisfy, had had at least four lovers... and the marriage was (unofficially) over........ Camilla, one of his old mistresses, came back into his life and has been there ever since.
Diana, despite the fact that she had a very handsome boyfriend at the time, James Hewitt, was furious. IF Charles divorced her, she would lose her status and not be Queen. .
So from 1986 onward.... for the next NINE YEARS she hounded him, told stories to the press, and made life as miserable as she could.
And all that time, Camilla stuck by him.
Meanwhile, on the exterior, Diana smiled, held hands and hugged babies.
The press continued to love her. and so did her public.

@NXVi . You should read the book written by Trevor Rees Jones, called " The Bodyguard's Story". His account is accurate as he was there . He has no reason to lie as he was left job less, penniless, disfigured and hated. He received no compensation even though bid daddy Al Fayed promised to take care of his expenses . The compensation for the book covered his huge legal bills. The book also has copies of the official accident report. Not only was Henri Paul speeding and drunk, he also didn't have the proper license to operate such a high performance car. The reality of it is that if there was a murder plot, then Mohammed Al Fayed would have had to be in on it. He would have had to sacrifice his beloved son. Dodi constantly changed his itinerary so often that it was essentially impossible for the security team or any murder plot to be accurately put into motion. I encourage you to read it with an open mind.

As she sanitised her hands at the Hospice, she made sarcastic little asides to her security officer.
