I’m from America so I don’t know much but what I have been reading and watching on this, seems horrible what Princess Diana had to indure. At the age of only 18 years old. That man was 32 years old when they met. He clearly knew what was going on and how it would play out. If he was in love with someone else he could’ve just not married anyone. However, he claimed the family forced him which to mean is hard to believe and to swallow that a grown man of 32 years of age would be willing to go with watever the family tell him to do. Shows a sign of weakness as a man, weak character and weak leadership. In the end he still married the women that he loved, so why couldn’t he put his foot down and done that from the beginning is my question? Princess Margaret wasn't allowed to marry a man because of this restriction. The only way Charles could actually divorce Diane and marry a divorce/e was because of a lot of behind the scenes work by various people. Unsure what exactly but do know it is not an easy process to enact. That is why King Edward VIII abdicated so as to marry Wallis Simpson who had already divorced twice. It is fairly easy to research using google on the royal family and the many "twists and turns" that have happened over the centuries!
