Id like to see a video review of the ford focus range starting 2006 build to the 2018 build, thus giving time to highlight some flaws if any arise? I think they should be un modified motors for a fair test type review. im 90% certain that the 2007 pre facelift will tick more boxes with its simplistic dashboard, engine reliability as standared, and having mine the ugliest fast ford ever to ones eye, even to ones ear the lack of dump valve and standared exhaust dosnt turn heads. xx

in 20yrs the classic ford focus will be the mk2 ST225. un modified, couple of owners with documents, FSH and 100000+ miles is nowt to that volvo engine if serviced and un modified. with the mk2 RS already priced over 20000 the RS500s locked away by the wealthy by then, the 2.3 engines bring more complaints over differing things im discovering. My own hatred of the modern computerised dashboards gives more things to need fixed by then. my 2007 ST225 is still a motor car to drive and the dashboard is plain simple my 13 yr old daughter can co pilot.

You can tell Sid was sponsored for this video, the arches do NOT blend it well at all. I think the car looks a bit chav like in my humble opinion but each to their own. The car itself is awesome to drive though

Arches are aftermarket.. how can you expect perfection... it matters on how its installed..

Bad quality. 1:20 on. Notice how badly the front wide arches line up with the extension onto the bumper? That's why it looks tacky and cheap, it kind of is. Same sort of thing on the rears at 2:49, how the arch doesn't really blend. It sort of changes angle like a lump glued on and then fades into the bumper. Poor.
I'm not a fan of the kit. I think ford should have done it properly from factory, which tbh they didn't with the mk3

its the block that cracks, not the pistons or the crank. unless they've internally strengthened the block its still the same issue.

Good, where you buy this body kit for ford focus rs mk3??
The new edition Rs which has been released recently has more than just a satin black roof but it is just aesthetic modifications/changes.
It has the black roof, new alloys and it's got a new type of seats.
I think the standard Rs looks a lot better than the 'edition' though.
It also has a Quaife LSD, so it's not all cosmetic 👌

It has a twin scroll turbo, not variable vane turbo, they are normally used on diesels
Would love to own one of these soon. Only worry are the engine failures that have been occurring. Hopefully Ford sort that with an engine revision.

6:43 greatest camera angle ever, please use that more! as well as rear mounted camera angle looking toward your shoulder and dashboard out to the windshield. Thats just me being picky tho.
If any car was ever crying out for a wide arch kit it is the new focus RS
I don't know what it is, but from behind it almost looks like a chavved up pre-facelift mk3 Focus ST - except for the defuser. Personally not a fan!

The thing what has surprised me is that my mk2 TTs S Troinc Which is nearly eight years old has the same 0-60mph time as the mk3 Ford RS 😳
Lovely car but this engine issue is a worry being a 30 grand motor. I've heard changing the coolant to a waterless version cures it but think it could be more than that.

It does look ASBO, but the boy racer in me loves it! Not so sure my mate Steve who owns one will agree. Some nice upgrades to the engine though.
More pedal-cam action would be greatly appreciated, especially when you're driving a manual!

Head gasket and deck warping on the top of the block causing coolant leaks which hydro lock motors. It’s a serious design flaw. Ford supposedly addressed the issue but we’ll see
Chris Dooley little bit incorrect it was the head gasket from the 2.3L eco boost mustang engine head gasket was accidentally put on the focus by accident they were recalled and repaired full stop

No matter how good these look the engine failure is still a massive let down...
ivason dyer It was, now they fixed the issue supposidly. But I agree, every model aside from the focus and Fiesta that ford makes is reliable, they need to get their shit together on their small cars, but hey, every car company has reliability issues. The Tacoma and prius for example have quite a few so even Toyota isn't safe.

blaggard 999 The clutch but specifically on the powershift dual clutch auto. If she gets the other auto option( I believe there's another auto option at least) or the stickshift she'll be fine. Ford overall is pretty solid, watch out for other brands like Honda or nissan, basically all of the new Japanese cars aside from Toyota and Mazda have gone to shit.
