Note to BBC: Rory Reid is a keeper. No, he's not going to pull the crowds like a Clarkson / Hammond / May, but he's cut from the same cloth and if you give him time and care, he'll be the future of a top-rated Top Gear.

His enthusiasm seems 'put on'.... like he's not being himself. Seems like he always has a smile on his face when speaking, regardless of the tone of what he is saying.

Collected my Focus RS on Saturday after 3 years ownership of a ST3, I loved my ST, but the RS is in a different league. I can't stop driving mine, and have run out of words to describe how good it is. As for the driving position, if you stick with the standard seats, and don't opt for the shell seats, then not so much of a problem, I'm one happy motorist even after 5 days

Depends on how you like your car reviews. The GT guys are entertaining and new Top Gear is more professional, but they're all awesome

As much as i would love to condemn the top gear, i loved this video. The review was spot on, energetic and fun. And yes i do love The Grand Tour but sometimes the trio altogether stops reviewing the car anymore (episode 2 and 4 mainly).

Excellent review. Pretty much agrees with all the reviews I've seen. Nice to see a US car leading the way, even compared to Europe. Ford appears to have hit a home run with the Focus RS.

It's a pile of shit as well. They've made it too American and ruined the format. Way too predictable and dumbed down now
The RS design team was headed by Tyrone Johnson who also was design leader of Ford victory at Le Mans in 2016. he is American but there were lots of brit and euro designers in the team too. The RS drive arrangement is so good that Audi and Merc are engineering a similar digitally-controlled assymetric 4WD system into models to be released soon. Why? because the Focus RS will beat them around a WET racetrack.
The grand tour is AWESOME, but top gear is still pretty good. They tried to appeal more to their American viewers but chris harris's bits are still good car reviews.

Sold. Totally sold. I was super excited the moment the RS was announced, and now I definitely want it!
Foolishly, my safe and sensible head took over during lockdown and I very reluctantly decided to sell my mk 3.5 RS. Fortunately, lockdown wound down and my fun side has returned, so I'll hopefully buy another one very soon and keep this quite a bit longer!
These motors have proven to keep their prices but you've got to pay a lot of cash up front for a 3-5 yr old, but you can't really lose on them. I think the signature colour nitrous blue is perfect. Anyone thinking of selling a Focus RS should think again.

Well, a bit off-putting delivery, he seemed forced and his enthusiasm was not doubled with same degree of information. A bigger crime was the cutting style. Much too agressive, pretty uninspired, way under the quality TG got us used with.

Love my fk2 type R its stock with a map to 375bhp so pulls, its driver focused instead of fooling around. Oh and the gearbox is fantastic. Lests be honest a lot was overlooked in this video.

Absolutely.
Have a look at the old Top Gear videos with the old trio, and compare with GT.
They've lost all sense of passion, and love for cars.
Seriously, the only time on GT I saw them be as excited about a car as when Hammond drove the 918 on TG or May drove the Singer 911 was the first episode with the holy trinity. Otherwise they may as well just forget any pretense of being like old Top Gear, because the passion just isn't there.
Now Top Gear however, still has that passion, as is evident from Monkey Harris driving the Vulcan, Matt driving the 911R or indeed Rory here driving the Focus RS.
So yes.
New Top Gear = Focus RS (a few iffy things, but otherwise great)
Grand Tour = Civic Type R (seems to have forgotten what kind of thing they're supposed to be doing)
Fifth Gear = A45 AMG (technically sound, but just boring)
JustTahmid Earlier episodes of Fifth Gear were good. Tom Ford should be on Nu-Top Gear
true but honestly as a potential customer I like the 5th gear reviews (of affordable cars) more than the national geographic motorshow clarkson-team started doing more and more so very happy to see top gear is still doing them, the coverage of the Focus in TGT was really "we couldn't care less" I was disappointed, they drive supercars too often they forgot what affordable cars are

As much as I enjoy the new hosts(with the exception of Evans), I feel like the overall video style don't quite fit with the presenters. It still feels too much in the style of the Trio + Andy Wilman. That said, I enjoyed this

Started watching for that awesome Focus, kept watching for the "this isn't a Focus, it's a blur".
My aversion for everything after Series 22 went down a bit more.
I started watching Top Gear a long time ago, practically when I was a kid; and it changed me.It sparked my interest in cars and made me a huge Hammond, May and Clarkson fan. It made me a "car guy". But people now are watching this and getting pissed because there aren't the hosts we know and love. But aren't we still car guys?
Can we not still just appreciate motoring for what it is?
And when we do miss the hosts, we watch The Grand Tour.

All these Grand Tour comments, but Rory Reid and Chris Harris are probably the best and most entertaining car presenters right now, miles ahead of the old team. I find the Grand Tour to be a farse that I can't enjoy. The new Top Gear isn't great either, but the two presenters should be given a new format for a show where they could thrive, of course they won't pull of the same format as the old team did, they need their own format, but I prefer them ahead of the old 3 presenters. Le Blanc and the other blonde guy were terrible though, I'll admit that.
I love Rory he's like the hamster in many ways :)

I have been looking at Top Gear from I was a young boy, late 70ish. I have seen 20-30 diffrent ppl working on it, so I'm sure it's not dead. Yea I like the trio of the 2000's alot but the program was great b4 that and it will stay that way with a new crew
