what kind of B H P are you looking to make from the 2.0 forged engine build
The intention was to repair the engine in the most cost effective and future proof way we could for the customer.
Itโs currently running REVO Stage 2: circa 420-440ps, but the option to go further is certainly there!

Not bad considering the upgraded performance and capabilities. To bad it seems it wasn't taken care of initaly, so many bits needed to be replaced. Still, those bits are the smaller part of this bill especially considering the dealer stepped up and matched the cost the warranty covered.
The owner made out pretty well all things considered. Your working with them definitely saved them some cash, and they ended up spending less overall than many folks would just to upgrade to this performance level and what it is now capable of, even without suffering the issues of neglect.

such a shame for the owner, the car must stand him in around ยฃ40k now and these aren't going up in value unlike the MK2, and having had the car such a short time prior to the failure must be heart breaking for them

i very much enjoyed watching this guys my RS only done 1400 miles so i hope the length of time i have it i wont have any issues fingers crossed !

Have loved the look of the car, still do, but could not buy one with the spectre of an imploding engine.
Great work guys, have really liked the series, it's a shame the Ford engineers could not have made a more stable platform to begin with. You guys are fixing their problem!

In this car itโs a used unit, already bedded in... Otherwise we would have completed a minimum of 250 miles and had the customer complete another 700 before a final oil change.
Thankfully this ones done and ready for him.

This been on the new BD dyno?
Avid watcher especially as I own a Blue Edition. Any ideas why this engine failed, as I posted a vid from US about weak blocks, but didnโt hear your opinion or whether this was the reason. Iโd like to know if this is an inherent production issue if I need to get work done before mine goes bang. Itโs currently stock. And my warranty ends in May so would appreciate advice.

Ford should have used the ST engine as a base tbh. Donโt know what they were playing at with the thing in the RS.
Big hit for the customer. As I expected a close to 15k bill all included after labour well close as makes much difference when spending that much money anyway. Such a shame for the customer. Especially in these challenging times. Iโm sure the customer will soon be smiling again though, I have had Revo software on some of my VAG group cars and it was epic, literally night and day difference!.
If he allows it would be great to see his face light up on a first drive after getting his pride and joy back. (I say pride and joy, as no one drops that kinda cash if it ainโt!)
Epic amount any day of the week when you are not expecting it; especially not long after purchasing.

We donโt think that a closed deck would support the liners in any way as to stop any common issue. Especially in the case of a 2.0L Block conversion.

I get these cars are good looking from 2 angles and I get there expensive piles of poop stock but around 14k minus the miniscule warranty pay out that's still over 13k .... What I can confirm is he saved money overall on what he was quoted for a stock replacement elsewhere.
Overall he has, at least, gained some power after all the work ๐

@@davecozzie1 problem is if the the parts you give that are cheap crap after market then it blew a rod or something you be trying to blame the garage and then they will say you provided its your problem

You could of just claimed the insurance and got another car. I love cars and admit that i've wasted some amount of money on them when I was younger. Usually in my experience once major stuff starts going wrong your better just accepting you bought a lemon and moving on.
@@Cookatron he had some warranty and dealer input in terms of payment. The option to claim on insurance against a damaged engine isnโt there in the UK ๐ฌ๐ง

i agree focus rs are the worst unreliable cars ive seen people where engine have fucked up at 30k with no upgrades mainly gasket issues
