I had 2007 gti brand new which i drove until 2019 and ended life at about 120k miles or so before I sold it. I feel Mk5 and mk7.5 is where the best looking and peak GTI are at.

This car could do 170mph hitting 60 in under 6 seconds it had full leather electric seats aircon and the rest wrap around interior, the part that most gets me is all THAT performance out of 290hp, yes honda really did create the first true supercar from japan, a title well deserved congratulations to them

But I fannied around or should I say procrastinated and now it’s sold to someone else and I am gutted. for when you go next time. The reason you having such a struggle with going down gears then getting into the right gear is those cars have a fail safe on them. If you are even slightly putting pressure on accelerator whilst under breaking the gearbox prevents you from going down a gear hence then repeatedly tapping down shift to try get it in gear and slowing way more in end then wanted and then not being able to accelerate out as in wrong gear. I had to literally move my right foot completely off in an exeragted motion to stop it from doing that then enjoyed myself a lot more! Have privately rented the track a bunch times in those cars so quite used to how they operate by now! Took me ages to figure out why I was having very similar struggle that you were having lol. nice one! Never seen someone take a f3000 rallying! ;)

Great video. I totally agree with you re value for money. At the moment, with the price so reachable, it's a damn good deal. I'm not so concerned anymore about the fact that it's not manual because the PDK is a fantastic transmission. Automatic transmissions are no longer the same as before. But the only thing I'm still concerned about is the E (or F) engine in this 2013 model is now 11 years old - how reliable will it be after the 10 yr warranty expires.
