- Don’t run your brushed car in gravel! Dirt can get inside the motor via the vent holes and seize the motor. If it happens, stop running the car immediately. You might be able to save it by removing the motor and clearing the gravel inside.

Great video 👍🏻🍻
Thanks. Had to get it out in a hurry because my last video said to run it on gravel or pavement. I was wrong.
my q is I have the 1/12 scale army willies jeep and I turned it on and it won't stop running it stress l and r but the controller won't work what could be the problem
I covered the vent holes on mine, with a waterproof adhesive tape, where no dust can get in, but it can stay cool and won't overheat. I'm running my hbx haiboxing 2022 model 18859.
How are you allowing heat to escape though?
@@Funcentric it's a breathable waterproof tape for wounds and I added a cooling fan. I ran it for 30min straight on a 2s it just got warm.
@@Funcentric I'm running this type of fan.
Hobby Fans 40mm RC Cooling Fan with Heatsink.
@@mrsomebody0085 Cool. Smart!
what if it goes slower on grass after use? but on concrete it runs smoothly
Yeah going slower on grass is to be expected.
My Hoisim 9030 turns of when throttled. If I hold the switch on or depressed it will run but not like it should. I have replaced the ESC, Servo, and motor. Help.
I highly recommend HBX b/c of their customer service and superior products. Hoisim is non existent. I unfortunately don't know what to say about that brand. I've never come across a car that turns off when throttled. That's very unusual.
Was brand new and used once. Now it will only work for 2 seconds then stops. Is there a reset?
I have the same problem ! Have you gotten any info on it ?
my hbx is not turning but throttle works - any solutions?
Hopefully it’s just a broken servo. Reach out Haiboxing on Facebook groups. They have excellent customer service unlike WL toys.
hey dude have u fix ur haiboxing rc
Yes, I cleaned the motor. Runs fine. The video is a warning to not run it while it's messed up or it could die completely and cannot be recovered.
Controller won't connect any ideas
Will need more info than that. Do you mean the esc or the transmitter? What do you mean by controller?
I’ve got the same car, it’ll run for about 30 secs, then stop. Changed out the sec and motor. Still the same thing. I am at a loss.
Replace motor
they now sell part for it now
Replacement motor? Yes.
If you see this or someone know what wrong password tell me what to do my 1/18 Scale haiboxing rc cars won't turn on I try changing the battery it won't turn on the controller fine but the car won't start
What have you tried so far? Any sounds? Any lights? Hard to diagnose without any info.
Some owners of the HBX 16886 told that pinion is fixed and you can not change it like this model but with our lovely 16886 that not true. Please check also if your is like 16886. The pinion hole is not positioned in the middle vertical symmetry axle of the support but is a little bit eccentric. All the rest is symmetric and this means that you can fit the motor and the pinion closer or more far from spur. In this way you can have options to set it more far and install a wider spur gear or a wider pinion. Please check.
Than usually the thermal glue/grease har not hard to remove and probably you can probably detach the heat sink and reuse it instead of thrown it away.
Avoid gravel with a brushed off-road vehicle is like going to purchase dessert when you can not eat them. I'm thinking to cover the holes with nylon women socks with more or less textile armature based on how much the temperature change increase comparing it without sock. But needs time lot of different thickness socks an a remote temperature control to test. This anyway could be filter offroad debris. Waiting for your feedback ☺️
I had thought about covering up the holes too but I don’t want to get so involved in it. I’ll just avoid gravel all together. I have other cars that can run in gravel just fine. Each car has its own purpose.
I won’t be taking the car apart again unless something breaks but the pinion is due to the motor mount. Yes, you can probably hack it so that you can change the mesh but that’s not really a beginner thing and like I’ve said with all Haiboxing vehicles, they’re not meant to modify the electronics so do at your own risk. I always recommend to run the drivetrain stock.
What is the purpose of this one if is an off-roader that can't handle the gravel? No critical but I really don't understand what is its purpose if not offroad
All the off-road brushed cars have the debris, dirt, dust, mud, muddy water problem. Which one do you have that not have this issue to solve?
@@bipantera Just a warning. You're welcome to use it in gravel if you wish. Just want to warn people that they run the risk of the motor seizing. And b/c i know that people will do it anyway despite the warning, this video is instructional on how to respond if it does seize.
No, I won't be double checking the pinion. I'll just trust what you're saying is true about your 16886. I have no reason to doubt you. No reason for me to take my 18868 apart unless I'm repairing something. I have no plans to modify the 18868. I'll run it as is, but away from gravel.
Off-Road RCs are made for dirt and gravel, I mean you bought an off-road RC for a reason. I think you just gotta deal with it and take the chance, buy brushless, or buy a real brand RC such as Arrma or Traxxas. Its not a cheap hobby. Anyone who thinks they can get into Hobby-Grade RC for next to nothing are in for a very rude awakening.
Yup, got plenty of those. Just warning those who may be expecting something else and who may be new to the hobby unlike us.
