@nothing to see here I really dont get why people even argue or use the word "laziness" when its logical why people dont. Just like not everyone wants to fix their own real 1:1 cars, Homes, AC units, Microwaves, TV's, you name it. The OP answered his own question by saying he likes to fix his own which also means not everyone does so its a given why people pay for repairs because obviously they do not like to do the same things. Some people mentally cant, the reasons are wide. Like you said, many people tends to make things worse and dont want the drama of fixing what they just broke trying to fix the first issue.
In the UK if the shop offered a repair service like this they would bring in some old tat off eBay that's completely destoryed wait till you fix it, then when you have them the bill they would kick off saying you'ed ripped them off 🙁
There is a certain limit on what cars are allowed in for repair. If it's an off brand as you said from eBay, something we have no parts for we won't take it in.

Another person commented about the same thing. I wasn't recording when I replaced it, when the transmission was done I stopped recording. I wouldn't worry it's fixed. Has a whole new shock

I bought an old rc Barbie car. But the seller said it doesn’t work anymore and he lost the controller. Would like someone to repair and make it a medium speed rc car.
Im in Canada and bought 2 of them really nice hummers we saw alot of inboxing videos on here well i had parts of the drive shaft fall off both i ordered the psrts and fixed that problem but i need to have both refitted with new motors and a few other fixes they were barely used so when the steering to the right went i decided they need better parts they weigh 20 pounds each so very heavy for any 1/10 scale RC vehicke which is part of the problem they built a super sturdy RC hummer but they eere not thinking weight when building them they need bettrr motors and i have parts snd new gun style controllers but not sure how to bind the thing to use the new controllers ,so i need them refitted with better and more sturdy parts to handle weight so where in Canada could i send them to have work done on both them any information will be greatly appreciated thankuou very mùch i see these being repaired if you do this for people i would gladly pay yo get them up and running ,like i said they were barely used whem small issues happened so i put them away but really want to have them uo and running with better parrts. I never got why people don't fix their own cars. That's my favorite part is the wrenching. I can understand diagnosis on electronics.
