Nice winner shockworks.. shame it wasn't the maxpeedingrods
@@danielarnold7466 I think we all would have fainted if that was the case, I love my maxies but after riding in a car with shockworks coilovers I can safely say shockworks aren’t on another level they are on another planet by comparison I didn’t know suspension could be that good they truely are amazing all custom tuned
@@TURBOTRISTO well in that case... I look forward to when your able to give away some of those bad boys when your famous 😉
I'd love to see the results for a kyb and Monroe and Koni. Thanks for video Tristan. Super informative. I have often thought a spring and shock would be better performing, even if it didn't have 36teen adjustability.
Which is why many EG/DC Honda guys ran the OEM ITR spring/shock combo :)
EDIT: I was surprised with the AMRs, but I think it has a lifetime warranty, would be nice to do a re-test. Probably with a Koni yellow too.
The results of this test were shocking! The winner should strut their stuff! I am sure the runners up will spring back. They all will have to deal with their own bumps in the road though. This video definitely didn't dampen my spirits!
Very clever my man
@@TURBOTRISTO my wife reaction was great. "HA.....HA.....HA.....you are SOOO FUNNY."
The losers will no doubt bounce back, perhaps too much. I thought the competition would be stiffer. Nothing worse than the soft bigotry of low ride expectations.
Chris did a great job not only explaining the shock dynos and why a certain brand performed better than the other, but he stayed professional and did not bash the budget MaxpeedingRods which I think would be very easy for most people to do. That’s for this informative vid Tristan!
Not a worry man! Chris is very professional
Soooo much valuable information and knowledge in this video! As a suspension nerd, this is just awesome.
Chris from shockworks is a guru
I have been fitting shockworks products to a customers car. I have had several cars with different coilovers but have never driven with anything like the shockworks before! Ive definately learnt from this video, i was unaware that the shock is able to give body control. I thought that was purely upto the spring and swaybars.
Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video guys.
I went on a test drive in a shockworks custom tuned set up I have never felt anything like it
Same! I would have liked higher spring rates for my own car. But for my customer, it was the ultimate road car setup. They dont look super flashy or anything on the outside but its the tech and RnD thats inside them is where the money is!
I do have some really weird old HKS/Kawasaki s13 coilovers with inverted tube shocks that looked like they would be good but where terrible on the road if you ever want to run another random bunch again.
Great video thanks alot for going to the effort to teach us all about how shocks work and which ones are good and how the cheap ones are not as bad as many people think.
You are welcome bro
Thanks for producing this content and having Chris walk us through the results. I have seen some say that Bilsteins with lowered gas pressure are a really solid setup. I think they may be onto something as Bilsteins on the street can be a bit harsh and have quite a bit of feedback in comparison to a Koni yellow which does ramp up hard, but overall is more comfortable until it's not.
That’s is all true I have switched my coil overs out to koni now haven’t driven on them yet but I am excited
You have answered a massive question for a lot if civic drivers that have always wanted the best bang for buck when it came to ebay coilovers. You legend!💪💪🚗🚗
Thanks brother
Yellow Bils or konis are best bang for buck if changing springs, OEM decent if stock. Shockworks are nice af.
Appreciate the content. Made the decision a bit easier. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Too easy mate thanks for watching
Thank you guys for this test/review which is not only without any self interest but really objective, technical and really untainted results.
It seems "Made In Japan" is the best no matter the brand (Showa, Cusco, Buddy Club) or age (20 or over 30 years). I am sure KYB and Tokico would perform similarly. Safe Real value over time.
Mid range price may be a hit or miss.
Cheap is just good for stance, mild casual use and short term use.

Glad you could see what we were trying to achieve thank you for watching mate
awesome vid man! helped heaps, appreciate the effort that went into this!!💪
Thank you! Sorry I didn’t adjust the fps and it was flickering
@@TURBOTRISTO no worries man, still a quality vid
Beautifully done, I have used maxpeeding coilovers on my ED and EG civics before, I am currently using them on my EF8 as well and I have an EK4 waiting for coilovers and I would love to win a set of these🤞
Awesome good luck mate
Just bought myself a 94' Civic sedan dirt cheap and I'm fn pumped to learn all about these awesome little machines! 😁
good luck my brother! all the best , now get all your buddies to like and comment
@@TURBOTRISTO haha thanks bro I'll try 🤙
Woo Giveaway~!
Keep up the vids!
Thanks man
Give this guy the coils!
Good luck mate
Love it
Yeeeeeeer
It's a gr8 video! It's interesting to see the progressive dyno on the Maxspeed coilovers; usually, it's often found in the gravel rally dampers but it's for sure not as good as a real progressive rally damper like Reiger or FOX etc.
Rally is something I need to try for sure thanks for watching
Awesome content. Definitely would stop all the arguments on the Honda forums and other ones too. Explanation is excellent from Chris and Shock Works. I have been using the old style maxspeedingrods on a budget track car EK like yourself Tristan but after seeing this I think I might have upgrade to the new style. Even if I don't win I will definitely use the discount code. P.S. Bro, you need to bust more myths.
Thanks for the support brother, after what I learnt I wish I could afford shock works they are incredible but as I have said many times maxpeedingrods seem to be working fine for me at my cars level, I would love to bust more myths any suggestions
@@TURBOTRISTO well, like you I've into cars for a while, I am a mechanic by trade... recently, I've noticed a lot of trolling behavior on the recent topic of Stock brakes are fine and bigger brake kits don't make better lap times... test with a control tyre of course, do a 3 or 4 part series on oem pads vs aftermarket, oem brake lines vs braided(use a control brake fluid), then move to oem single piston caliper vs aftermarket multi-piston setups...maybe talk about brake master cylinder upgrades...
New coils would really level up my CXI ive been dailying for the past 3 months, cheers for the good content mate! Good luck to all the boys entering the giveaway!
Good luck to you my man
Good luck man! You got this
I’m running the max speed black and red coilovers on my lowered Camry and I must say they perform pretty good for the price I can’t beat it. Had 2 blown shocks so anything helps. Thanks for the video man!!!! Keep them coming
cheers man please subscribe if you havent already
im about to be ordering a set for my 6th gen camry
If you see this how are they doing currently,?
Thanks for doing this Tristan.
Not a worry man
Very informative. Thanks for this.
You are welcome mate
So I've been considering these maxspeed coilovers for my step sons 95 eclipse. I think we are going to buy some and then later when he starts working upgrade to a nicer set. They have to be better than the stock blown out suspension that's currently in it. Thanks for the video
100% they are man they are perfectly good for anything you need just not for lemans or the Indy 500 but for everything else they are fine
@@TURBOTRISTO Max Pee Ding Rods are for LeMons not LeMans.
Great timing! My stock shocks are developing some nasty knocking noises so a set of cheap coilys would be a great option!
Good timing best of luck
Thanks for the video, excellent demo.
Thanks mate
I had KYB GR2s on Eibach Ground Control coils. I loved that setup. Lifetime warranty on the shocks to.
That’s fantastic
id like to see more shocks tested/reviewed like this. maxpeeding rods has new shocks out now and id like to see how they look on the dyno. and with all the different coilovers out on the market these days i think this would make for a good video to make every week for a few of them if you can get your hands on more coilovers.
I will be doing more in the future i have road tested the new mxrs and they are really good interested to see the dyno results, I have my hands on all sorts of suspension daily, new video coming out soon i have the only set of KONI col overs in the country to suit civic
@@TURBOTRISTO Thanks man. me and the rest of your viewers really appreciate what youre doing here man. im subbung right now!
Thank you for this, it makes the day I can afford these easier, thank you for the info!!

I really need help finding struts for my 07-08 infiniti g35x sedan awd. I see all full complete struts coilovers then i find sum with the rear strut and spring separated. Which is better
Just buy some new bc and be happy with them man very good budget upgrade
Thank you so much for helping us
No dramas man
I'm 17 and jusy got my p's with my 97 civic ek so a set of coilovers would be awesome to win also thanks for the video really informative

I'd love some coilovers so my kswap handles like a go-kart. Great video
hope so man get all the family and friends to like your comment and reply to your comment, best of luck
Really interesting to see the comparison & would be interesting to see relative prices & perhaps comparing @ similar damping rates where possible rather than just 'softest'.
2yrs ago found MXSR irresistible for the price for '89 Civic whose originals felt VERY soft despite no evidence of leaking. Happy for the relatively little use it gets & lower ride height if less Impressed by very short travel & rebound to cater to those who want to SLAM their cars (a worry if ED already had the shortest travel of later Integra & Civic they also claim to fit.!
Makes me glad I have some Koni on CRX & some 2nd hand Koni for EG & Prelude projects, even if I will still try MXSR on that too (bought previously...& hope to fix 2nd Prelude) wonder how they compare?.
Guess I'm probably not pushing hard enough to complain about 2nd hand Tein on my DC2.
thank you for the feedback glad to see you appreciate the content for what it is, i would love to do more testing in the future this was really fun and I learnt heaps
Just wrote off my Honda jazz (was rear ended ,can give proof) and was just looking into getting a 98 white civic sedan ! Really want a build it as it would be my second car and I feel like I can challenge myself ! Would really love some coil overs to kick them off !!!!
well I hope you win mate all the best get all your friends to like your comment and reply to your comment
I'm not sure I follow how the Bilstein was rated lower than the Cusco when at 16:29 Chris said that, while both were a bit low on gas, the Cusco still didn't quite have the response that the Bilstein had.
Bro the touges about to get absolutely munched by these weapon's HAHAHA, in all seriousness tho these would help big time when it comes to track and mountain passes, my fenders are carving new tread into my tyres every time I go around a corner. They're buggered
Hope so for your sake
@@TURBOTRISTO hahah double wishbones only half the story when Ur stockiest are clapped
Hey Tristan, i already got these coilovers, i give my ticket to this guy, I hope he gets it.
@@mrgngstr awh no way, thanks legend. Hope your going hard out there bro :))
Forgot the part where you gotta explain why you need em, well it's the same as everyone else tbh I run mountains in my civic and just need better handling, I got Hella scrub cause I'm running some thick federals and the dying shocks in her are just trash. No other reasons tbh, in reality if I save for a few weeks I could get em but hahah
I have a 96 civic I really need some coil overs, I have upgraded to front and rear anti roll bars and polyurethane bushings, still have stock springs and struts. I just had it painted and have a video on here with it.
Best of luck my friend
Thanks guys. Better to get Bilstein B8 Performance Plus with lowering springs then vs getting these cheap coilovers on my 2023 GR86
thanks for watching
Really awesome video man. This is great info. Given the cost of MaXpeedingRods, seems it would make sense to replace your blown OEM struts with a set. Obviously if you can afford the nicer suspension, you'll get what you pay for or something like it.
Exactly man 100% correct not everybody gets it

@TURBOTRISTO I did. I got it fine. My right front oem was leaking badly I went max speed rods fro all 4 front and back and they seem great for everyday driving. I am a happy customer and didnt break my budget on a 3,400 car one deer away from being totaled.
Great content guys and super informative. I’m a very amateur former club-level racer here in NSW who achieved reasonable results using the Tein Superstreets with the spring rates and valving as per Fulcrum’s setup. Oh-in a GDB WRX STI. The rear struts started leaking after about 5000km but I believe it may have been extended time between drives may have buggered the seals. I’ve had both rears rebuilt and the front left is leaking and knocking too. Have you dealt with these struts before as I’m keen to hear your opinion.
I’m thinking seriously about Shockworx setup for my FG GS. Good to see they performed well, though I’m also considering Bilsteins on Kings low as it’s not a track car.
Great content and I’m subbed.👍
I would get shockworks over tein any day heck I’d get bc over tein, but shockworks are amazing all the top time attack cars run them, plus they can be valved for street also
@@TURBOTRISTO whats wrong with tein? Just bought ones for my car, toyota chaser jzx100
@@TURBOTRISTO what’s up with the teins?
@@daskamu I’ve had both rear dampers rebuilt and the front left needs rebuilding as well. These are Tein Super Streets with less than 15,000 km on them.
I’ve found the Teins are great while they are working, in so far as they are OEM factory quiet, comfortable for the daily drive and still capable on the track for a bit of club-level shenanigans. The damping/spring rates are far from optimal for track but I’ve put down some respectable/competitive lap times on the Teins and I can “glide” over ripple strips that upset stiffer setups.
The low-km rebuilds are the biggest problem with mine, but I’m probably contributing by leaving the car for weeks at a time.
@@TURBOTRISTO most of the serious guys and gals in the NSW combined clubs Supersprint series I used to run in seem to be running MCA although I’ve seen some very quick cars on KWs, HSDs (surprisingly good from my observations) and BC racing. If/when I get the time to get back into it, I’ll be tossing up between MCA and Shockworks for a more track-focused setup for my long-suffering bugeye Subie.
Great video, learned alot 👍
So did I bro
I’m 17 as well & i own a 1998 honda civic lxi. Have always wanted coil overs for the ride height and performance but can’t afford them as i’m still in school. I would be really stoked to win one of the two. It would make my civic handle and look 100% times better! 🔥 Cheers
All the best bro good luck get your friends to like and comment on your comment and you have a chance to win, my civic is a 1998 also !! But mine is a gli

Go for it man
I wish shock manufacturers would publish the types of graphs you showed. It would make shopping and comparisons so much easier.
I Do plan to do more vieos like this
Time to revisit. Add KONI Yellow and the latest MaxPeeDingRods offering. I hear they "upgraded" them again. Maybe throw in some budget dual-tube style, and the latest bargain monotube.
Glad this vid shows my usual "Throw some yellow bils on it" for street cars, and "Don't you dare replace honda OEM shocks unless they are blown or bouncing" advice is sound.
there is a video planed , just gotta find the time
Yeah the old wireless Coilovers 😂
Good shit fellas giving back ❤️
Good luck fellas ❤️
Bluetooth coilovers 😜
The Bilsten looked very good at the start and he seemed very happy when the result graph got displayed 13:30. How come it ended up 5th?
Others ended up in better standing
Yes. The Bilstein graphs looked good comparatively, particularly in initial anti roll which is important for a track car.
G’day, which coilover is more comfortable than stock Swift ZC13 suspension?
Nothing will be more comfortable than stock,
@@TURBOTRISTO Thanks for honest reply. The stock feels jiggly... probably due to light weight ZC13.
any suspension upgrades will make it more firm and tight
Im in the process of buying coil overs .This video was great .Thank you
You are welcome man
Honda still uses Showa (Hitachi Astemo bought them), KYB, and even ZF for dampers, these days. Showa has made some really good dampers from civics to miatas, over the years. Thanks for the quality, humble content!
Thanks for watching man I will do more soon
To add to this, I've seen a few Honda models fitted with Sachs shocks from factory. Not sure if they still use those as the models I'm referring to are 5-10 years old.
awesome good to know sachs make good stuff
Just bought my first civic as a project car, some new coils would be hectic as
Well done man
Haha, I just ordered AMR engineering coilovers for my e36. My friend has them on his ITR swapped hatch and I was super impressed. Too bad we can't get a good comparison. A long time ago I had some TEIN SS on my honda accord, probably the best coilovers I ever had.
Tein were the worst coil overs I’ve ever had
@@TURBOTRISTO I have some Flex Z on my accord and they are pretty poor IMO. BC isn't much better from my experience.
@@TURBOTRISTO I'm sure the Tein Coilovers weren't the worst, most likely it's the owner not using them properly.
@@TURBOTRISTO what was with the teins?
I've seen about a dozen personal accounts, from members in a car forum I'm on, of maxspeedingrods breaking at the welds. Most commonly if there is a link bar bracket welded it breaks off. A couple said the base broke on rears where a skinny arm is welded. One person said the top cap split. Saving money isn't worth wrecking possibly dieing, get at least one step above!
I do agree however since this test mxr have really improved we use their T6 shocks in our endurance race car hit every ripple strip and get air borne and have had zero issues, this test was done on the T3 & T4 version, they are up to T7 I have shock dynoed them and they graph as good if not better than a lot of the expensive brands in this video

@@notimportant8120 what two guys
Would maxspeed coilovers be able to handle canyon and mountain drives consistently?
Depends on what you mean by consistently, as long as the roads aren’t to bumpy then there won’t be much heat in the oil or air causing cavitation
Hey just wanted to ask when you have the chance please if you think maxspeedrods are good for lowering the car to daily driving and will be good to ride on i dont want to drive and have my springs come off😅 I have a 05 acura tsx thank you!
Yeah they sure are they can handle the punishment. You just need to make sure they don’t have any leaks when they arrive the quality checks aren’t the best, if they leak send them back they will replace them no charge , if they come with no leaks they will last you years no problem
Nice video we need more like this
its on the cards just need to start collecting some different coil overs again
In the near future I'm thinking about getting a set of the max coilovers but after looking at this I'm kinda disappointed but my question is...how would the coilover behave with the spring on it and will the spring rate help in anyway? I'm on a tight budget 😅
I will be giving away a set of the coil overs soon
Would love to win a set for my '97 EK mate! Although, I am in the Philippines, so maybe I'm out in terms of selection. Either way great videos as always. 🤘🏻

I’m glad I could help you mate
Need to lower and stiffin my ek civic
Every one does
You'll definitely gap the swift up scaly now bro
We didn't get a coilover test just a shock test, would be awesome to see a complete test
besides fitting every coil over to the same car and doing a set track in controlled weather and temperatures, with fresh tyres on each test there is no way that it could be a fair test, this is the fairest test known to man, the shock dampening rate is the only factor worth measuring, spring rates can be swapped and changed, re valving and custom valving shocks in almost all cases in not possible
@@TURBOTRISTO but isn't the springs what causes the ricer bounce on the cheaper coilovers?
@Kevin Hawthorne cheap coilovers usually have a combination of too high spring rate paired with poor damping performance. 12k springs on any shock will feel bouncy compared to stock which is about 700, especially paired with a small shock . They use super stiff springs so when you slam the car on the ground the tires won't have the travel to hit the fender. Imo the cheap ones are for people that want to lower their car and don't mind buying new ones when they die.
Have you tried ab racing? What are the cheapest adjustable dampening ones you have heard of
Maxpeedingrods I think are the cheapest, I only tested the ones I could access locally all these sets were on loan
Dude, this was awesome info! Now I understand the difference between a good shock and a crappy one. HOWEVER!!!! You can't really perform a test like this using the method u applied. You need to test at least 2 of each brand. ie. The American model was clearly a factory defect, and IMO because of the technology (pressure, fluids, gas), it's pretty likely that there were more that underperformed or perhaps overperformed their brand just by chance. That's why you need at least 2 tests for each brand. The real lesson learned here is, you can buy good shocks and still get a bad ones and never know, sans the dissatisfaction. Looks like Quality Control is the right way to shop them out! Again, the information was fantastic! you got my sub!
thanks boss beek! yes I agree, at the time i made this video as you can tell the camera quality is low and the lights are flickering, but all that aside I borrowed all those sets from people and luckily for me Chris from shockworksis is local and had time to do the comparison, I would love nothing more than to test 15 different brands and three sets of each all for the same car , you are 100% correct some of those coilovers were old some where new some were from crashed cars , but the info and message was all the same, when shocks leak they leak regardless of age, the factory civic shock were nearly 30 years old with over 300,000kms on them and still performed like new , there will be more videos like this coming soon
I would love to win a set of the newer version of the coilovers for my 2000 ek hatch. The only thing I've ever won in my life was a Mulan cap from Video Ezy in 1999 hahahaha. It was a colouring in competition lol.

EDIT: If I win pls can I get the new max speeding ones
Good luck bro low is the go
Goodluck!! You deserve it

@@TURBOTRISTO thank you! This is the way !
@@zephaniahjoy777 thanks Zeph!!
The maximum pee rods are not all that bad for the price. I ran a set for a few months on my Bugeye WRX while I was deciding what I actually wanted to go with. They were actually surprisingly OK. If you just need something quick because your OEM ones took a poop they will serve you just fine. You can even get a bit sporty on them as well lol.
They are 3 times better now
@@TURBOTRISTO would love to see updated results for them ;)
latest video with the thumbnail "runs so smooth" has updated dyno sheets
@@TURBOTRISTO yeah I used the COT6 coilovers and they were super easy to adjust and install. If I was playing to do some sporty driving ("doing turbos" is what my girlfriend calls it lol) I would just adjust the knobs to stiffen them up and for everyday driving I kept them somewhere in the middle of the adjustment range. They actually looked pretty good as well, the blue and black looked really good with my blue brake calipers and gunmetal gray rims. They are definitely an upgrade from the OEM suspension that came on the 2nd gen wrx's. I eventually upgraded to a set of Tein coilovers and the only real difference was that the adjustment range was more dramatic and they felt less bouncy and at their softer settings, but honestly there wasn't actually a huge difference in the overall performance.
thats awesome news man
Very informative. Would have like to see the Bilstein overlay at the end.
I do plan on making another one someday
@TURBOTRISTO it would be good to see things like say for example the mustang, steeda vs ford performance vs bilstein vs koni vs shockworks.
Or even something like mono tube vs inverted mono tube, or twintube vs inverted mono. Just some ideas.
Do the shockworks and cusco smoothen out the ride with stiffer springs? What does it feel like to the driver in comparison?
I can only speak for the shockworks because after the video we wen on a drive and they were amazing absolutely perfect
@@TURBOTRISTO So a BC or Maxpeedingrod with that same spring rate will feel harsher in comparison to the shcokworks?
it would depend what that spring rate is, i would recommend emailing shockworks
@@TURBOTRISTO Like an 8k or 10k spring rate. On BC and Maxxies it will be harsh over bumps. I wasn't sure if a higher quality shock or strut could smooth that out, where we have ground contact at all times but not as much harshness transmitted into the chassis. So we'd have the advantages of the higher spring rate and more smoothness?
I guess the only way to know is run both with the same spring rates.
it all depends on your application what spring rate you need
So which one you recommend for a 97 civic ?
That depends on your budget my man
MCA Reds.
Old Gregg saying goodnight and keen to win some coilovers wish me luck guys 👌👌👌🤟🤟
Good luck buddy
Good luck old Gregg x
Thanks Sammy boii
Good luck my man, your civic needs them for sure lmao
What kinda driving are you going to be doing?

Hope I could win the new design for my Civic and test them on track. I'm in Melbourne so you could help me fit it up!
Sounds good to me mate just gotta get lots of likes and comments
I wonder about the newer BC Racing stuff and the external reservoir ones. That's what I've got, dare I say they've been great. They sell for almost $2k USD. They're on my road course car.
I wonder what it costs to ship them to you lol.
Keep the hard work going, i own a v10 96 civic, that could use a bit of loving. 😅
Best of luck my man
Got some hardened bush's in it and coilovers is all I need
Best of luck man
Good luck
Hope I can win this giveaway, would mean a lot to me 🥺 can’t afford new ones and I have had a life threatening accident from faulty suspension failing and sending me into a guard at high speed. Would love to put some max peeds in my turbo civic much similar to turbo tristans! Located nsw! Unfortunately 🥺
Like for +69 HP
Good luck!
That’s not unfortunate you can still win them mate just get the most likes and replys and you win
Thanks man, sorry this is my acc it wouldn’t let me post the comment on this acc, was very lucky to be alive. Never trust cheap suspension, I do hope the people realise this would be a great thing for me and my build. I’m very dedicated to my Honda Civic 🥺
Good luck Bro! Sorry to hear about that :( at least your still here that’s the main thing.
been a while my YT brotha ! just got the old ladys MXR replacements in and am trying to hunt down you adjustment video so I dont bottom them out like last time lol , hope alls well my friend !
There is a recent video I did on a white eg, you can check out on the adjustment
@@TURBOTRISTO thank you sir , information received and applied
Now that all cars are strut based, are there any big differinces in performance?
how do you mean?
It's kinda crazy how maxpeeding rods has the amount of settings for price imo
It really is
Bruh

Win
Is this allowed?
I want MaxSpeed Coilovers because they match my personality: slow, behind the competition and not sure if they will last very long.
*Edit: If I were to win. I would like the new anodised version due to dyno results.*
Not sure if srs 🤣
@@catherinedao3721 DEAD SERIOUS.
I think Maxspeeds > you tho
@@lisatruong4684 That's a fair call. At least they can stay long and hard.
A set of coilovers in my EK1 build would be fantastic!
Good luck bro
This is great I'm in two minds between these cheap coils and Whiteline springs for my lancer Vrx
Very helpful content guys I've subscribed. P.s where about in Melbourne are you from?
From sprinvale mate thanks for the subscribe 💚 whiteline springs will be great but they might blow your shocks because stock shocks aren’t designed to be lowered, by the time you buy lowered shocks you might find it’s better off to go with some coil overs
@@TURBOTRISTO cool not far away I'm in Oakleigh..yeah alot of people have just run these Whiteline springs in their lancers on the OEMs with no issues. It's about a 35mm drop in height all around so nothing to crazy, so I think there is still quite abit of travel in the shocks. This car is a just a daily that gets driven to work and back each day, nothing hectic like track time, I do love the height control of the coilovers to be able to dial in that perfect height, I just need to decide if want the comfort of springs over the slammed look which is obviously going to be alot more of a ruff ride.
@@dalefernandez129 comfort is king man 30mm drop is sweet I did my mrs accord 30mm and it blew out a shock instantly, I work at koni and they say that anything over 30mm should need coil overs or custom shocks because the stroke isn’t long enough to absorb the bumps
I like the confidential information on the wall at 28mins. Might need to edit the video if they want to keep it

What about blitz coilovers? Are they good like the 3way adjustable ones
i havent had any experience with them , i would guess they are a rebranded chinese coilover like the majority of the "jdm brands"
@@TURBOTRISTO Blitz are a reputable Japanese tuning brand.
@Narcomancer1943 yes they are but a lot of Japanese high quality brands don’t always do the manufacturing in Japan just like USA brands don’t always make things in the USA
@@TURBOTRISTO ahh ok, I get what you mean. I guess originally being turbo specialists it’s possible that’s what they did then.
i like blitz its a top shelf brand, like most things im not sure if they still are
Quick question... Because load cells are so sensitive, wouldn't touching anything attached to the load cell skew test results? 19:45
It gets calibrated each time
I understand that. I but at the time I posted, I touched and pulled down on the aperatus while the testing was going on. This should never be touched while the testing is in operation. Could have been why a coil over from a reputable company scored so badly.
@@Motoro40 nah those ‘reputable company’s ‘ are pretty junk too
I see where you are coming from.... Good day.
@@Motoro40 it’s very hard to find brands of street parts that are as good as they say they are like tied or hks or Cusco they just aren’t that good, and not worth the money, brands like shockworks Koni bilstein ect are very high quality

@@lisatruong4684 That's a bit ummm questionable.
Hi my name's Michael and I already use maxpeeding coilovers (original ones) in my hillclimb b18 eg hatch to beat Porsche GT3's , Elfin v8s and other high end purpose built race cars 😅 their confused sad faces make it all worth while 😅
That’s great news
I got a Toyota 86, I started by replacing the OEM suspension with the BC RACING BR kit, it was a small upgrade but still I was disappointed, then I bought the CUSCO Zero 3R kit, now we are talking about a product that actually work, one word capacity.
That’s good to hear you love your Cusco mate
@@TURBOTRISTO It was almost 3X the price to get the CUSCO build to specs, but the difference is night and day so it is worth it.
