Thanks, I went to the ac repair shop and gave me an appointment to come back in a couple of days.
When I did go back, they forgot about my appointment.
So I went ahead and ordered the blower from Amazon, and decided to check out some vids.
This vid was the most straightforward, and short.
I did this on my 2008 Avalanche, and ac is blowing penguins 🥶

Glad I am not the only one struggling to get the new blower motor assembly back in.

Thank you for sharing this video! I was able to accomplish this task with little help from my hubby. A little tricky getting the motor out and in, but figured it out. You have to align the part into the slot in the back, using a flashlight, doing it upside down to make it fit and click into place. What a sigh of relief, and whala have air flowing again! I couldnt live without my defroster especially. I had to get this fixed, better now in the summer, than quitting in the winter months of Maine. Very helpful! :)

Super easy job. Thanks for the help. These vids are always so useful. Like pulling back that foam....honestly was the most helpful to me. Also I tore it out went to the parts store and sized it up as there's the 3 flavor variety on this model. Thanks again

After having the same problem with getting the wrong part 2 times, i finally just ordered the right one online. A week of using my ice scraper to bang on the old fan to keep it running and 5 mins of work when it arrived, saved me 120 dollar labor bill at the shop. Thanks for taking the time to post this my friend!

I noticed tapping it down there with kicking it back on for me I just didn't know quite where the blower motor was. As soon as I started watching the video and saw where you had your blower motor I went down there and knock it with the back of my drill and it kicked right on. Now I know that's what it is you just saved me a lot of money at the repair shop. Thank you so much for taking the time to make an edit this video.

If it's just making some racket but still working, you can spray some love into the small hole in the black plastic. Should take care of your issue. I used lithium grease into it with the tube that every can of lube has, and it took care of my issue. No need to replace it.

Good job, but isn't a good ideai to also change resistor when changing motor?

  • @412manyshotspittsburgh3

Did this take 3 hours like they are telling it will take at the shop?

The motor keeps cutting in and out. You tap the motor and it starts up again. This means motors done.
