I gotta wonder what the bodies of these Vanguards were made of. Poplar? Plywood? They were department store guitars of the day, after all. I'm not complaining, but I'm curious.

Good guess, the body is poplar and the body veneer wood is ply maple back/front.

you might be able to find them on Reverb if not Ebay is a good chance. you can always look on some other side forum as well
