Thanks for posting this! My dad bought an Old Krasftsman back in 1964 along with a small tube amp and I have and play it now. Your video was the first real chunk of info that I could find. I love this guitar's tone though the original amp; it sounds like the 60's no matter what you do.

Prices have definitely went up on these cool guitars, now its more like $200 for good one and over $400 for an excellent one.

Your very lucky, most people have to search for an amp and guitar that's similar to the ones they played when they were young, you have the actual ones you played , very cool. Thanks for the comment.

Wow, I had one of these. It was my first guitar. My dad got it for me for $15 I was 12. That was in 1967. I'm on the lookout for one now.

Reply - 5 years later. I bought one around 1970-71-72 with paper route money in High School. It was my first guitar. I still have it. I searched all over trying to figure out what kind of guitar it was. I vaguely remember the Kelvinator style label on the tuning pegs coming off. I paid $15.00 and got a Kalamazoo amp included. Tube type amp. Still works. I guess I should restore it. I will retire soon and will have time to play it.

@JWCustomGuitars Its just a chunk of wood, I've got 3 of these guitars and they all have the same kind of bridge, they adjust up and down. Thanks for the question.

$65 the prices have skyrocketed on these! How much we the archtops and Harmonys? I got my Harmony H1213 arch for $40 a year ago and a Harmony Master for $70, seems the Harmonies just spiked. It seems people ask the moon, and when an OK priced one comes up it sells fast.

They've gone up in price quite a bit, I just bought a Vanguard today for $300 (which is on the cheaper end, i see them regularly going for $4-500 now). I envy people who got theirs dirt cheap, but I wanted to swipe one up before they skyrocket even more! I have a feeling they will continue to get more expensive as time goes on and they get harder to find. They sound and feel awesome.
