I’m a Spurs fan and Conte has opened the can of worms that we all knew about at Spurs. Now the whole world knows what a lame club we really are. No desire to win trophies, players that just do enough to keep their overpaid salaries, a culture of mediocrity within the club. I don’t even blame the ownership really. No man on earth can make people do something if they don’t want to. These players, as a unit, don’t want to fight for the club or glory - spineless. I salute you Antonio Conte for bringing this front and center and to fall on your sword in doing so. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Whoever comes in now has a job that is a no win situation until every one of those players leaves the club and we build from the foundations up.

Antonio Conte just like Jose Mourinho is a narcissist who only accepts responsibility for things that have gone well but who blames everyone but himself when it goes wrong.Pep Guardiola who is one of the most successful managers in football history would not be successful at Spurs and he knows it too.We can't offer elite managers everything they want whenever they want it.....we should never have hired any of the last 3 managers and that is most definitely Daniel Levy's fault!

I am not goating you, scape, as a former Arsene/Arsenal fan and yes, you are right with your analysis. My question is, similar to my frustration of the later reign of Arsene, what do you expect from any Spurs involved here. Since my childhood I am a Dortmund-fan through thick and thin (sigh-'Echte Liebe'), where/when/how can you love Spurs. Players/management/owners or even fans, not much to brag about (but I mean it still with respect, seriously). Conte bringing it front and center ... in pub-lick?!? Some clubs/teams have their troubles internally ... with a positive result (even if it is just in a tv-series like Ted Lasso (you can imagine how a tv-series of ... HottenTotten would look like?

Conte did not call out the fans. He called out the players and the board.
    He spoke for the fans.
It was refreshing and it was long over due. They were all truths and they were comments that many fans are thinking.
Not all because many are blinded by the shiny lights of the stadium but many agree that this club has a mediocre mentality, and this mentality comes from the very top.

As an Arsenal, it is genuine disservice towards Spurs fans who pay their hard earned money & time that someone should be chastised for speaking the truth. The man has taken the brunt of the criticism with neither board member or player defending his position.
Spurs has a real problem, they've had world class managers in Pochetinno, Mourinho, and Conte. A fledgling coach in Espirito Santo, whose reputation has now been ruined because of his time at spurs. All of these managers no doubt have had passionate speeches internally but nonetheless they always face the sack. At some point, the current cohort of players and executives have to take responsibility otherwise

I think Brendan Rodgers is the perfect solution to the levy situation. Levy and the firm are not going anywhere neither do I want any unaccountable anonymous arabs or their hired westerners bearing 'trophies' taking the reins. Rodgers has done an outstanding job at Leicester and probably what Spurs now need is British manager whose proven abilities and character over ten years, getting within a Gerrard slip of the title for a pre-Klopp Liverpool scoring 101 goals, taking Leicester, yes Leicester within a game of top 4 twice and winning the 2021 FA Cup and a European semi-final last year. Time to forget these foreign managers for a while and go back to a Harry Redknapp type dynamic with a proven experienced British manager who at 50 years old is probably coming into his prime and is drifting at Leicester now. I think given a bit of patience Rodgers would be ideal to do what Redknapp did and more and get away from this foreign manager bringing trophies syndrome and sprinkling continental stardust on the team. No tantrums or so-called elite managers thinking the club is lucky they should honor us with their presence after managing PSG or Chelsea.
Levy should not be a problem to Rodgers or vice versa, not in a yes man sense but I can imagine even looking from afar that Rodgers sees a squad with some of the players out on loan including Ndombele that would be a dream for him and the kind of players he would add even with Levy's budget would be of a level as the best players he had at Leicester so it would suit Levy and finally the manager's status, temperament and behavior wouldn't be detrimental to the team's morale. I bet Rodgers is looking at the Spurs situation and thinking just what he could do with that squad from pre-season and with little fuss and maybe Levy should be looking at it and thinking does he really need another temperamental foreign manager with elitist ideas that test his innate financial prudence or a simple but no-nonsense, calm, cordial proven premier league British manager. A winner who has gone under the radar of continental allured big clubs, being dismissed probably due to media perception because of Gerrard's slip in 2014 and their habit of dismissing and subtly mocking genuinely talented British managers with personalities and media profiles that don't fit as dour and a tad odd.

personally I thought Conte was just telling the truth, calling a spade a spade and as it is and what he said was the truth and Spurs have been going down that road for years and Levy has certainly been laying the bricks for that road.
Having said that, this is a recurring pattern by Conte, where after a while he does his best to get sacked.
I think he has twigged: "If I continue to be a pain in the butt, I will get fired and get myself a nice little compensation order of a few million, then I can go on holiday, until the time expires, where I am not allowed to work, because of that pay off and i can start the procedure all over again".

I ain’t a Spurs fan at all but I will say as for Conte everything he said was true but he failed to talk about himself because the football he plays is awful and man was crying for reinforcements and he gets players in and he doesn’t use them for that, it’s unacceptable but the club is to blame for them being a failure and they will be left behind if they haven’t been already
