Right Im a Villa fan. Im only 23 and the first game I ever watched at Villa park was in 2007 against Portsmouth and we lost 3-1 (Gareth barry scored for us) and I said to my dad “I know we lost but this has been the best day of my life” ❤️ and through my childhood I seen the heights of us playing in the europa league against CSKA Moscow to fighting relegation when Randy Lerner sold the talent we had without replacing it. We suffered as a football club and we rose up from the championship and are looking at our first top 10 finish since I was kicking it in primary school. I along with most Villa fans are grateful for where we are. Yet you get this fans griping about 170 millions being spent in the wrong way but your still in the top 4. I suggest these guys wind their necks in because Villa should be up there within the top 6 but we are grateful for where we are and where we’ve come from. As a Villa fan i’ve loved every second of it ❤

Matt the 2nd time you spoke you mentioned standing on the shelf watching Roberts picking up the UEFA cup (I was there as well and also outside Tottenham town hall in 81 and 82 and 91 a decade of trophies with most of the players coming through the ranks at Tottenham, it meant something back then... Picking up silverware, being winners... Levy and Lewis are using the club in a cynical way.... We need nation state oil money to buy us the f,kin trophies or just go all out to be like the the Corinthians in spirit of fair play who embodied in the famous principle that if a penalty was awarded against the team, the goalkeeper must vacate the goal to allow the opposition to score (which Spurs goalies have done over the years anyway) and take its just rewards for the Spurs Corinthian team's violations of the rules (and the spirit) of the game... The Corinthians rebelled against professionalism ie taking a wage for a sport you love.. So having promoted sportsmanship and fair play, and having championed the ideals of amateurism (Not being paid) all gate receipts can go towards good causes... Pick one idea and go for it.
