    • @kaiganaxabystc4136
      @kaiganaxabystc4136 Před 15 dny

      He references the Villa game but everyone knows that arteta was culpable in that game by messing up the line up. We have never seen the best of Havertz in mid field but he has done well upfront, and arteta chose to play him in mid field.

    • @adrianpillai6645
      @adrianpillai6645 Před 15 dny +1

      @kidouble18 actually this is an interesting criticism. I forget which current Arsenal player said it (Jorginho I think) he revealed that the players decide where they feel they can contribute, and then Arteta helps them define those roles to their strengths. So I wonder if he did let Kai go into midfield (because he felt more confident there), and let the team work it out that way - to build team spirit. Could explain the Xhaka renaissance, the seamless slotting in of Rice etc. Arteta might have wanted Kai for his off the ball work, not because he thought he was a number 9 or 10 or 8. The problem might have been Kai was so low confidence, and he keeps saying he will play anywhere, that's not what Arteta wanted. He seems to want players to say, I'm in this role. I will stamp my authority on it.
      The Dubai trip might have been what Kai and arteta needed (same with Ben white) to gain confidence to say, ok, I want to be this position on the pitch, or I want to help this attack move better. And they worked on it to amazing results.

    lol so every game arsenal lose is kai havertz fault and proof of your moronic point of view. He has been sensational at Arsenal. Its not just his goals and his assists. His hold up play, his playmaking ability(like the 40 yard pass today) , his height for corners on both ends which also gives arsenal an out ball to play to him long which he more times than not wins against many defenders, his one touch play with the midfielders. He is also rapid pace wise. He is a freak of nature as an athelete and a footballer. Just admit you were all wrong. About both raya and Havertz. Arsenal literally survived a late scare. A lot of people will say “oh they almost bottled a 3 goal lead to Tottenham” and I agree up 3 goals and almost dropped points, history almost repeated itself for them and had they drew the game, we’d be having a much different conversation about their title chances, but they hanged on and got the 3 points in the end. It was a nervous moment for them because they were comfortable on the score line especially since they scored 3 goals in the first half and conceded 2 goals thanks to a penalty and a mistake, when you’re in a title race moments like that you have to make sure that you don’t choke. They’re in 1st place and while they’re still probably not going to win the title since it’s in Manchester City’s hands as they have a game in hand over Arsenal, they’re still in contention and they’ll fight until the last minute no matter what happens. Whether they win the league or not, Arsenal didn’t bottle anything and based off of the comments, I can tell who watches football or not.

    Dan, Arteta isn’t copying Pep, our system is similiar ONLY up to the point of using inverted fullbacks. Our attacks are not, unlike City, down to providing service to the CF(Haaland) by crossing mainly which is City’s biggest strength.
    Arsenal’s penetration is via wing play to 3 goal scorers across the front. That is why the goals are shared evenly and not a landslide.
    With Havertz central we do have the “Haaland” style option but we only use him in situations like today where we face the highpress. Also Arsenal’s defensive tactics are currently a tier above City’s where City defend by keeping the ball, Arsenal defend old school and let opponents have the ball and rely on their defensive discipline and doggedness.

    Arsenal had their first team players in Timber, Partey, Jesus and Tomiyasu missing most of the season. It’s a miracle that Arteta was able to compete this long against City with the squad he had . Imagine a city team without Rodri, Halland, Walker and Gvardiol for most of the year. City wins because of the second 11 they have and not first 11. Arsenal need to match that. I mean how many goals Zinchenko leaked this year or in games Saka looked out of sorts because of exhaustion and no proper backup . You are never going to win against city with situations like that . Last year they couldn’t do it because of playing with Holding instead of Saliba in crucial end games and I think it was their best chance against city.

Football is a contact sport, players spend hours training hard to be physically fit,then go to the ground for any minimal contact. There should be no penalty unless the contact was to gain an undue advantage. This is coming from a city fan, referees and so called football expert are ruining our beloved sport.
