Still amazes me the wealth of knowledge you have when it comes to Transformers. The BEST channel hands down when it comes to G1 and the brand overall. I’m surprised no one has ever reached out to you simply for the amount of knowledge you have alone, Hasbro for sure should have you on payroll to be a consultant and assist in marketing, product design, development branding etc. just as an outside contractor at least. You should definitely reach out hell just direct the to your videos to vouch how qualified you are. That’s why I say this channel is bigger then just the reviews, theres not a content creator I’ve come across who has this wealth of knowledge and stories to go along with it and the memory of an elephant to remember even the little nuisance details that you do. You’re highly appreciated bro and I wanna give you your flowers to let you know it doesn’t go unnoticed. Hell of channel and again another hell of a review!!!

You already know bro, I gotta let it be known every time bc I know it can go unnoticed and it’s so normal to you that you may not even realize how influential your channel and your knowledge is to A LOT of people, and how A LOT of creators regurgitate your ish, trust me I’ve come across a lot of em. Seriously, I thought I knew everything about Transformers, then I watched his Starscream vintage G1 vid. Like, I knew about the Diaclone origins and all that, but not at that level of detail. It was especially cool literally getting to see it with his figures as he explained it. Video toy reviews are a dime a dozen, but the hardcore historical knowledge George provides is tops (plus he's actually funny and charismatic and, sorry to say, a lot of reviewers either are a bore to listen to, or really have a forced persona).
What is odd is that Kup's toy color was a beautiful bright aqua but the cartoon caricature was colored a dark grayish green. Opposite of Hot Rod's rust color toy and magenta toon caricature.

Hasbro removed the pins from the shoulders starting with the "Commemorative Series" Rodimus Major 20 years ago. This was done to pass a drop test for safety reasons. When dropped with the pin in the shoulder, it can create broken pieces or shards small enough to be swallowed. Without the pin in the shoulder, the arm just pops out.
As far as your reissue wish list, Whatever has been reissued or rereleased within the past 25 years by either Hasbro or Takara is pretty much it as far as availability and potential future releases. A lot of the molds are lost or damaged beyond repair. Sunstreaker for example, the mold for him is gone.
I remember NYC street vendors sold bootleg transformers. My constructicon was a bootleg, not an actual Hasbro. I'm sure the molds are not hard to find. And not hard at all to cast a mold from a used toy.
i had the OG hot rod as a kid and i just picked this up this weekend and got the re issue starscream both at my local walmarts and hoping to find more plus i found a studio series transformers the movie ironhide. trying to rebuild my childhood collection of figures i had

What a missed opportunity for the Masterpiece line
For whatever reason, this figure gives me vibes of sirender from carranger. Theyre both cars with arm articulation and nothing in the legs.

At the beginning of the video I went and pulled out my hot rod for comparison and if I can find it in store, I’ll definitely get it
I missed out on HOT ROD in the '80s, so I was very glad to import the burgundy coloured WAL-MART reissue a little while ago. However, the stickers were a nightmare! They ripped as a tried to peel them from their backing! Hasbro had no spares, and I ended up going to Toy Hax for a non-metallic set instead, so now his labels are mismatched. Looks like I'll have to buy another one!

Good review. I wasn't keen on getting another Hot Rod but now I'm rethinking it (and now regretting not pre-ordering!) Perhaps get lucky (again) at my local Walmart. It's a really striking figure that really looks like what Hot Rod should've been from both the movie and catalogs. As for the G1 Hound reissue, I want to get that one. I never had him originally and never got him in reissue form. I hope G1 Retro Hound is a reality! Top 5 Autobots wishlist (not necessarily the movie retro look): 1) Bluestreak in the original Bluestreak colors (blue and silver) 2) Brawn with a cartoon face (I agree with you!) 3) Hound (maybe coming soon!) 4) Ultra Magnus in the original Diaclone colors 5) Dinobots (okay, all 5!) Top 5 Decepticons wishlist: 1) Astrotrain in anime color 2) Shockwave 3) Thundercracker in more animated color 4) Skywarp in more animated color 5) Gift box set of the cassettes. All 6 of them. But really, I would like to see the recolor versions that was released overseas but not here. Like the green version of Blitzwing, Overcharge for example. I can go on......
I wonder if they'll make iron hide and if he'll finally come with a snap on head like those upgrade kits you can order.
I think Takara is going to do it in their new actuated G1 line.

Snarl's appearance in the spinning quintesson ship reminds me of an earlier desire I had for TFs to be released in red translucent to mimick the hate spores episodes. Although I'd prefer it on molds other than G1, I'd like to see them

Oh yeah, remember that now. I ordered the full Convoy version. I really wanted both but couldn't justify it.

George, another superb review! I have been waiting for mine (Walmart....I missed Pulse) and I have been curious. These types of G1 reissues are something new and awesome. I love no stickers for sure, but I miss the rub sign ;) But in any case, having no stickers and having everything tampo'd is just the way reissues should be. I hope we see more but knowing Hasbro we'll probably see these two and then nothing else.
Hasbro hass confirmed Hound. They have even given out samples to a few reviewer about a month ago.

Not at all. Love the character love the toys and the voice actor. I just think the movie colors Hot Rod came out much better.
