    4. Promo for "Big Shots"
    5. Vicks Formula 44M
    6. Toys R Us (There's just something about seeing NES games still in the cardboard box. Also it still blows my mind that Fester's Quest was actually the first Addams Family game for the NES and not a sequel)
    7. Sweet Valley High Board Game
    8. Perfection
    9. Bounce
    10. Derouins Florist Christmas Shop (Calling all Grandmas! Come here to buy all of those creepy dolls that will one day haunt your attic)

    21. "Alf" End Credits
    22. Milk

    33. Braun
    34. Promo for "America's Most Wanted" and "Against The Law"
    35. Promo for "Babes" (This only lasted for one season and sparked controversy for the sheer amount of fat jokes made at the characters' expense)

    38. Kentucky Fried Chicken Holiday Specials

Oh yea... great times. Like the time I was playing it with my cousin in the living room one holiday and my stepdad (at the time) got annoyed by the sound of it and kicked it across the room.

ALF: "Commercial alert! Push pause now!"
It's a good thing that at least one person didn't listen to Alf or we wouldn't be seeing this here today!

The Coke commercial at 4:22 was always heart warming to see. Then later you'd wonder if the people who put up the big tree noticed the old fruit cake in the dirt and wondered why it was there. Also its funny how there's a Toys R Us commercial about not wanting to grow up, followed by a milk commercial where growing up is preferable. lol

90'S CHRISTMAS COMMERCIALS!!!! Oh my god I've NEVER clicked on a video so fast...Absolutely epic.
What a simply EPIC collection here! We got Bartman, some pretty funny ads starring the late great Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, RIP, The absolutely _classic_ Coke commercial, warms my heart just to see that, an awesome Toys R Us commercial complete with dancing Ninja Turtles, hello, that's amazing. And those milk ads were pretty great too. Bravo!!

This time period of 1989-1990 just went by too fast. It often gets lost in the shuffle of all the '80s and '90s nostalgia in pop culture.

That was when the "Do The Bartman" single was released, not when this episode ("Bart The Daredevil") aired. BTW, the date that you list was a Tuesday. The Simpsons aired on Thursday nights during its second season.
In the future, why don't you leave the detective work to me? I actually put a lot of work into making sure this info is correct.

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  Před 6 lety +4

All of the stuff after the tape edit at 9:40 is from 12/6/90...I note that in the description. The stuff before that also could have been recorded on that date, but I can't verify when they're from.

Seeing NES games still in their cardboard boxes is indeed special. As someone who collects games for the NES and SNES, I try to buy them complete in box when I can. In fact, I just received a complete in box Fester's Quest a few days ago in the mail. Unfortunately, it's getting quite pricey to buy games in their original packaging (especially if you want good condition), but it's usually always worth it. I love the old instruction manuals, maps and posters that used to come with games.
