  • These commercials aired on ABC on April 27th, 1990
    1. Veryfine (I haven't thought of this brand in a long time but I remember their vending machines seen in this ad were pretty common back then)
    2. A&P
    3. Kentucky Fried Chicken
    4. Eastern Airlines
    5. Eyewitness News Promo
    6. TGIF Intro (Nothing says "family sitcom" like two men cross-dressing and getting arrested)
    7. McDonald's (The interiors of their restaurants back then really epitomized that late 80's/Early 90's aesthetic. One of the McDonald's near me had that same exact bar area with the bark and rubber plants seen at 2:56 for a very long time)
    8. Sun Light
    9. "Full House" Commercial Bumper
    10. Tylenol Allergy Sinus (All they did for the before/after was put some makeup on her)
    11. Baskin Robbins (With Brian Bonsall)
    12. TV Spot for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (Yep, that's Christian Slater at 4:29...for some reason. This is one of the best comic book adaptations of all-time. I still yearn for a live-action, R-rated interpretation of the original comic book, but I think the 1990 movie is probably the closest we'll ever get to that)
    13. Lysol Bathroom Touch-Ups
    14. Molly McButter
    15. TV Spot for "Sunset Beat" and "Columbo"
    16. Sears Weatherbeater Paint
    17. Acutrim
    18. Sun Light (Shorter version of the earlier ad)
    19. Promo for "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Tim Conway's Funny America"
    20. TGIF Interstitial (The music video in this episode of "Family Matters" has to be seen to be believed: • Family Matters The R... )
    21. "Full House" End Credits
    22. Promo for The Kentucky Derby on "ABC's Wide World Of Sports"
    23. Promo for "The Strange Days Of John Lennon" on Eyewitness News
    24. Shockwave At Six Flags Great Adventure
    25. WNSR Mix 105
    26. Promo for "Jeopardy"
    27. Sears Show & Sale (With Bob Vila)
    28. Red Lobster (Introducing "call-ahead seating"...also known as a "dinner reservation")

The original Turtle movie from 1990 still holds up well today. Watched it recently, and there are still some lines I laugh at. (My favorite being when April is brought to the Turtle's lair for the first time, and Michelangelo says to Splinter, "Can we keep her?") It was a perfect blend of elements of the original comic and the 80s cartoon. Best Turtles movie, and likely the best Turtles movie we will ever have.

Bonus if you spotted George Frankly (actor Joe Howard) of Mathnet fame in the Eastern Airlines ad.

TGIF/Full House-the "Bosom Buddies tribute" episode
Sunset Beat-i remember this show,it was canned after two episodes..ABC burned the remaining ones off two years later for some reason..
Columbo-dentist probably asked him "is it safe...?"

I miss the days when McDonald's restaurants looked like that. Since then, they've re-modeled like all of them.

I think we can all agree that the 1990 TMNT movie is still the best Turtles movie till this very day, along with its sequel The Secret of the Ooze! Also, Judith Hoag is still the best, if not the hottest, April O'Neill of all time!

    WABC woop woop
We had a Veryfine machine at school in the early 90s before we had a foodservice come in and change them all out to soda. That's right, soda in the 90s! I miss them too.
WNSR had many format changes and call letter changes from 1995 on.

I remember seeing a Veryfine vending machine where my dad worked a very long time ago. And I don't remember whether it was the late 80's or the early 90's.

Ughhh...I worked at McDonald’s for a good portion of the early 2000's and they would use that phrase "if you have time tto lean, you've got time to clean". I can't believe that was a standard company moto.

Growing up and looking back on when my teen self watched Full House, I'm lowkey like Joey in the way of voice acting older cartoons~. Funny how that works~.

TMNT 4:29 Christian Slater loved the movie, why would they just flash him for a sec? I remember seeing the moving opening night and seeing a little boy crying because the showing was sold out and his father trying to explain to him why they can't see it. I had to see it at the midnight showing and it was sold out .
