- This is a collection of commercials taken from my personal video tapes. I recorded these clips from Tampa/Sarasota stations WXFL 8, WTSP 10, WTVT 13, WWSB 40, and WTOG 44.
These are the commercials that my mom would have been watching on the TV in her farmhouse while she was pregnant with me. She passed 10 years ago, and it sounds silly but this kind of helps me feel a connection with her that I dearly miss every single day. I love you mom.

Me too. During the winter months especially when my parents especially my mom had such a perfect home, full of great smells and a bunch of presents under the tree. I guess I remember everything correctly.
So glad I grew up in the 80s.
I recall these commercials now that i have seen them again and different memories are waking. Thank you.
Oh the irony ...i hate it when a commercial interrupts me when Im watching a movie (even Netflix is inserting ads now) so I skip it...yet I can watch these old commercials for hours...
After watching this and as an older guy, when exactly was it that people became angry and unfriendly? These commercials are proof-of-life that America was happier then....I hope we can get back there soon.

I think we are drawn to these nostalgic commercials because it's sorta like time travel. But it's also because commercials from the past were...quaint. No woke bullshit. Than their are those super iconic commercials..plop plop fizz fizz! Mr Whipple squeezing the Charmin....WHERE'S THE BEEF!!..lol
Personally, I like the old Ban de Soleil ads "for a tropical tan' or Hawaiian Tropic because everyone was obsessed with "deep dark tans' lol...my husband likes the Life cereal ones with Mikey...and it's not really a commercial, but he likes the old intro for Wide World of Sports..."the agony of defeat' the announcer says as a skier epically wipes out doing a breathtaking leap. ..
