Now that the Infinity Saga has concluded, and Avengers Endgame revealed the Avengers’ comeback victory over Thanos, we now reexamine the Avengers Infinity War full movie for an in-depth scene by scene breakdown of all the interesting filmmaking tricks, visual details, and subtle Easter Eggs that we overlooked in past viewings. Erik Voss explains all the still-hidden bits and clues that make Infinity War such a great film, from Thanos snapping Loki’s neck to Thanos snapping his fingers. How does the Iron Man vs Thanos fight echo Tony Stark’s past battles with Obadiah Stane, Whiplash, and Killian from Iron Man 3? What major detail did we all miss from the forging of Stormbreaker? What does Black Widow’s performance in this movie tell us about her mystery gap period in the upcoming Black Widow movie? What does Thanos’ various uses of the Infinity Stones, in different combinations, tell us about his priorities? And in what ways is Infinity War the MCU’s most spiritual film when it comes to the concept of mourning?

Infinity war was an amazing movie and easily the best avengers movie imo and one of the best superhero movies ever made. Took me a while to really love and appreciate the movie, as at the time I wasn’t so invested into the mcu, but now having watched most of the MCU, I’ve come to respect and admire how far the mcu has come and the impact it’s had in cinema, and I’m saying this as a casual movie/marvel fan.

When you say, “the avengers refuse to let anyone die.” You say it like it is a bad thing. Yes, people die and we need to accept that. It doesn’t mean we should let people die because people die eventually. We should do everything in our power to prevent people from dying, especially if our job is to save people. I understand what you are trying to say but it comes off as just letting people die if it makes it easier to accomplish a goal.

What I don't get is how Corvus Glaive's spear not only was able to stop vision from phasing, but also tear straight through vision, who was made out of vibranium. It took Thanos multiple hits to break part of Cap's shield, so how did that spear go right through vision?

Fun fact: when Thanos blasts Quill, Drax and Nebula with the power stone but we see the soul stone glowing because in a deleted scene Thanos actually separates their soul from their body. Later we would see Peter swinging along trying to round up their floating bodies (like the the theatrical version) and then we would later see Mantis returning the souls to their body after some advice fe strange.

You forgot the stare that Benedict gave to Tony after viewing all the futures.
Also, the dust and blood refers to the dust left after the snap and the blood refers to the blood shed by thanos during the fight of Tony with Thanos on titan

What's even cooler is the way the MCU's story in the Infinity Saga has also slowly become a bit more grown up.
It's still great fun for young kids, but there is something here to chew on as well for adults. This is difficult to pull off: *Star Wars 9 film Saga has failed almost completely at this.*
