I personally feel that within time...not a lot of time, new drone systems will replace what tanks are doing today. Tanks are majorly used in spearheading infantry attacks and for covering fire to protect infantry. I feel that future development in drones will allow for drones to be doing all this for infantry. Imagine a larger drone capable of carrying 50 grenades for bombing, or firing grenades accurately to suppress. Drones are getting smaller, but soon they will be getting bigger. Much like unmanned helicopters.
