My brother was a Seal for 24 years. Why are they top of elite special forces? They are the only ones who can deploy out of a back of a submarine when it’s submerged. They’re truly invisible when they need to be. As for training they must attend school for the job they originally chose when enlisting. Then they can apply to be a Seal. Buds is where they separate the men from the boys. Training is not only physical but also psychological. Furthermore they go through airborne and HALO school. Top notch medical, demolition, sniper, deep diving, be able to swim long distances . Last but not least be able to fix and do maintenance for every single piece of equipment they operate. Always ready to go. All along the training men drop out of the program. Earning that Trident and keeping it takes almost 3 years. Just for fun, sharks are not a problem it’s barracudas. They like shiny things.
I got to ride on a NSW Rigid Hull Inflatable. Bunch of SEALs were training at our base and staying right next door in vacant base housing, where I worked and lived as did my parents. Well, they had their boats they were using at the nearby lake. Towards the end of the training, they invited the base residents out to the lake to go for rides and holy sht. Fast as hell and they are insane driving them. They were going high speed then stoppong dead, standing those boats up on their nose. It was terrifying and awesome! We let them use our basketball hoop, we got a ride their boat. Pretty fair trade. Plus, whatever government food they don't eat usually gets left behind and any residents can just take what they want.
During Buds training, it's about teamwork for the SEALS candidates. Delta's goal is about teamwork, but during the selection process, it is a solo accomplishment. It's a true test for individual mental health.
Teamwork makes dreams Work hooray😂 Semper fi
It was a SEAL team that rescued Jessica Buchanan too
Get this, from what I've heard, you have to already be an operator to even be selected to try out for Delta. That's how crazy Delta is. That's why they're number one in the world.
Actually, to try out for Delta Force, you just have to be in the US military. You don't have to be an operator, nor have any history of it. Yes, most of the guys who pass Selection are Army Rangers and Green Berets, but in an interview Chris VanSant (a former Delta operator) recently did on the Shawn Ryan show, he mentions that he went through Selection for Delta with a Navy diver who also made it all the way through.
VanSant himself was in the 82nd Airborne Division when he went through Selection, and while the 82nd are undoubtedly made up of tough soldiers, they are not operators. He used to be an Army Ranger, but was dropped to the 82nd on a drinking charge. Another Delta operator, Jonathan Dunbar, who unfortunately was killed in 2018, also went through Selection as a member of the conventional Army.
VanSant then goes on to explain why allowing just about anybody to try out for Delta is the true reason they are the best in the world, as it means their operators have skills and training from all the branches of the US military, not just the Army.
You should check out the book, Rogue Warrior by Richard Marcinko. He created Seal Team Six and Red Cell. It's an autobiography by career US naval officer Richard "Dick" Marcinko, who spent his career struggling to win acceptance for special warfare SEAL units within the Navy establishment.
It covers the early history of the SEAL units, his participation in the Vietnam War, the Iran hostage rescue attempt in 1980 and the U.S. invasion of Grenada.
Red Cell went off the rails a bit and pissed a lot of people off. They sort of got out of control and the unit was canx'd.
Military production. I knew as soon as they pinned the guy all gently. In reality, all branches punch those pins in as deep as they can.
Yeah, you don't join the Navy and go right to BUD/S. You've already gone through regular boot camp. I don't think you have to have a rating (job specialty) yet, but you have to go through physical screening and some other stuff before you're even accepted into BUD/S. Some guys have already been to the fleet when they enter BUD/S.
I think the only reason why Hell Week is the toughest is because they are already wiped and beatup by the time they get to that stage where as a good chunk of SF and other SOF training their version of "Hell Week" is more towards the beginning instead of the end. I could be wrong but that is what i've observed.
Was hoping this would show their speedboat/submarine combo toy. Looks like a lot of fun. They also are able to deploy from a submarine with a smaller submarine.
As a Navy Vet..I have mad respect!! They ARE the Best of the Best!! I’ve met so many BUDS dropouts and they are some amazingly fit people!! So just imagine those who have made it!! You will have to be both mentally and physically elite!!
Yes it’s extremely tough and hats off to anyone who attempts it
From most SF guys that have gone through hell week and then into Delta say delta selection is harder. But hell week is after most candidates are wiped out. I have never gone through either, so I can't say from a personal perspective. MARSOC training is 11 months and pretty damn hard. I rolled due to injury but completed it on my second round.
Some of this footage and info is incorrect, the SDVs (SEAL delivery vehicle) are not submerged anymore,, they are dry , and some of the boats are not SEAL but SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant Craft), who are basically trained to drop off and pick up SEALs or other groups from the shallow water while under fire, they are heavily armed and fast, you can see a good demonstration of what they do in the "Act of Valor" movie where they come in and pick up some SEALs who are pinned down under heavy fire
You should check out
SWCC: making an operator by Naval Special Warfare Center
Matt carpenter is the best baseball player in history.
Yadi is pretty close up there, same with Pujols, and Chris Carpenter.
Look into combat divers one of the requirements of it is being a USA special Forces operator
Airforce has PJ and combat controllers.
Hmm, I believe they was formed originally during ww2 as "frog men". Maybe they were so clandestine nobody took notice until 1962...
The best
The great raid movie 😅
Would love to see you talk to a former Navy Seal like Jocko Willink or Andy Stumpf would make for a good interview I think.
This is a Delta force guy explaining how different their training is, I think you’ll really appreciate it. It’s all new information to any of the other things you’ve seen so far I believe czcams.com/video/BWeThoSmAo8/video.htmlsi=9DyUTfi04gwb6Zon
Yes it is, seal Training is almost impossible. 200 sign up every year and maybe 1 or 2 make it
no it is not the toughest , the toughest is DELTA team , they only choose 2 at the end , and to be approve u cant apply u need to be a navy seal rancer or special force, and ur superior will choose who will go to take the delta training, theres a podcast that a former delta talks about , basically he said seal trainin in like a normal gym classes deltal they will leave u alone in the middle of no where and 1st phase they will ask u to hike 200 miles and meet u at certain mountain , now the classe in at winter , u dont have food , u need to hunt , make shealter , and when they reach the point they ask HOW WAS IT and the comander cant talk , they just give another location , they said out of 1000 just 2 graduate and the classes takes every 2 year and if u fail u can not take it againg, they will tarin you oneverything , that ucan possiblle think, u will be ur own platon
The trainings are grueling. Your acumen will be tested on every single thing you do. Or do not do.
all training for all courses are blacked out
0:57 Lost me there. Maybe screen the videos before you waste our time.
So, a whole 57 seconds of your life wasted...tragic.

I never said that it is tragic. Stop being so dramatic.
The Navy seals are made up of Marines, Army Rangers, the green beret's and all of the special services. The Navy seals ARE the best of the best. They are the top
The Bin Laden raid in Pakistan my arse,, why were almost all of them blown out of the sky shortly after?
When you want to do some covert, top secret, high speed, truly elite level shit.....join the Delta's, Green Berets, Para's, Rangers, etc... When you want to write a book or make a movie about yourself.....join the SEALS.
What I learn hell week is real tough you will train for at least 5 days hardly sleeping at all nothing but training day and night maybe in those 5 days you might get 3 hours sleep
Hell week seems like one of the toughest things anyone could ever go through
I'm not trying to be biased but that why I say we have the best trained soldiers in the world real bad asses
More seals have been lost in training than actual combat
