As a military vet myself, he seems to me like the type who enlisted, got kicked out after six months, and uses his "veteran" status as often as possible to hit on women and get discounts at restaurants. All of my fellow vets on here know the exact type that I'm talking about.

His wife should look at her life and "do the right thing" if she needs to to protect her children. should be easy for her to get full custody if it comes to that.

I don't think he is dumb. I think it is a manipulation technique to try and say what the other person will think in an attempt to try and get set free because he learned his lesson.

Well good news is that his kids have a few states in between him, cause according to the press conference sheriff Grady Judd held, he just moved to Florida from Kentucky for school. Which is horrific to think this was the way he thought to celebrate his new beginnings.

I served in the Army with this guy. He was creepy in the Army. We served in West Africa together during the Ebola crisis and got promoted together. He expressed with great thrill on how he was related to Billy Ray Cyrus and everything. We never hung out with him because he just seemed off. Now I know why. His wife expressed to me a few times that she was afraid to bring him around kids because of how he would look at them. I am glad he is caught and is behind bars. Truth be told, i never really liked him. We all just tolerated him.
So I've been watching To Catch A Predator since I was a child and I also happen to be a 22 year old woman who looks like she's 12. When I was 12-15, my friends and I often ran into predators online, and now as a mature mother I regret thinking the smart thing to do was to block them when I should've reported them to the police. But as the kids in my delinquent hometown would often say, I ain't no snitch. Anyways I'm grown now, raising a daughter of my own and I have become mostly anonymous online to avoid predators but I've realized..... I sort of have a gift, don't I?
My point is, how do I become a sting operator?
Could always talk to your local PD and see if they have any programs, or know of any you can join.
(Please pin/upvote this or something for info to anyone who doesn't know this): This "I just need somebody to talk to"/"I'm so lonely and sad"/etc is sadly a tactic that many predators like this use when baiting their victims, too. My friend got victimized like that at 13, guy was like 19-21 or something and kept pressuring her with the whole "I'm a virgin because noone wants me, no girls wanna talk to me, I feel like I'm gonna commit s*icide, I'm so ashamed to be a virgin at that age", etc. Many grown-ass guys have tried to trap me and my other friends with similar stuff as well, trying to reel you in with pity and making you feel like you're the only one that they can talk to at the moment and their only lifeline, even threatening with s*icide if you stop talking to them/wont be with them, etc. Disgusting. Guys - if you didn't know this yet then definitely warn your children to tell people like that to f off or just respond with a phone number of a helpline or something - kids need to know that no adult should seek "mental health help" from a kid. It's a tactic of grooming and on a rare instance they even are for real, it's still not something a child should deal with.
Yep! And it doesn’t just happen to young kids either. That exact tactic is how my ex boyfriend, a 17 year old senior in hs, coerced me, a 14 yr old freshman, our entire relationship. If you have the mindset of, “I’m strong willed I could never be a victim,” yes you can, EVERYONE can fall victim to their tactics. If it was easy to notice and resist they’d never get away with it. Never hide your relationships from your parents or close people either, because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have had to suffer as long as I did.
Yeah, if your kids have access to chatting services that’s not good. I grew up with the internet always around me, watching brainless spider man Elsa crap when I was nine, before elsagate was even happening. I’ve come across gross crap, be it pronography, gore, various fandoms that pedos and creeps are a part of. Your children remain the right to terminate conversation with ANYONE if they feel uncomfortable. Guard your children on the internet, never leave the alone with it. Watch them over their shoulder or be in the same room when they play online games, establish trust that if they find something that is scary or inappropriate to confide in you as a role model.
