As a person with depression, it really angers me that this guy would try to use it as an excuse to justify his actions. This is how negative stereotypes about people with mental illnesses are perpetuated. There are a lot of people in the world who think that the mentally ill are automatically 'bad' or 'dangerous' because of guys like this who want to use it as an excuse for their shitty behaviour.

The weight comment as to why he never pursued a career in law enforcement makes me laugh. One of our local officers was 300 lbs and could do front flips. Even IF he is actually suffering with bipolar (which tbh, I think he just made up for sympathy), and even IF his condition played any part in this encounter, he's still accountable and responsible for his actions. Especially given that he's allegedly fully aware of his condition and receiving treatment for it. So sick of people using mental health to excuse bad behavior. It only further creates a negative stigma around it, which only hurts those who do suffer with mental health issues. They're normal people just like everyone else. In fact, majority of those suffering from mental health issues live completely mediocre, normal, everyday lives just like anyone else. They don't deserve to feel like outcasts cuz some criminal aholes, especially online "influencer" aholes (i.e. Gabby Hanna, trysha paytas, shane dawson, etc) use mental health issues like they're accessories to flaunt, victim cards to pull, etc.

@@wolf2966 not the person you want an answer from, but in my experience it's in our blood as animals that rely on judgment and perception to quantify safety of an area/situation to include factors such as representation. Being able to preemptively judge what is a safe versus unsafe situation based on visual clues is what allowed us to survive this long, so it's imperative to how we operate. Its only recently that we have adapted physical appearance or trademarks to define who we are in a sect or define/express our individuality, so of course it's only in our nature to be skeptical of those who do not fit within our pre-determined box of what we deem "safe". I could make this into a whole lecture, and I know i'm already bordering on that, but basically, it is coded within our nature to automatically judge someone or something based on appearance whether it is subconscious or deliberate. Personally, I wear and do whatever it is I feel comfortable doing that expresses who I am, but I am also aware of the reactions it may generate from others who see it as a "threat" or "unconventional" and thus have negative opinions. Bottom line, people judge for everything and that's totally normal even if theyre assholes, but if you're going to express yourself in any way that goes against the grain you have to be ready to deal with that and not take things too personal because it's only in our blood to judge.

It never ceases to amaze me that these creeps think that a teenage girl would be into them. I still remember high school. I was the geeky, socially awkward disabled guy who couldn't get anyone to notice him. Do these delusional freaks honestly think young girls at the most superficial age are going to be into them? None of them look like male models or have a lot of money or they could get women their own age. But beyond the whole being attracted to children thing which is messed up enough, thinking that a superficial high school or especially junior high girl is going to want to hook up with them blows my mind. Even a gay teen isn't going to be looking to hook up with some of these dudes, because whether you're a straight teen girl or a gay teen guy, you still have some standards. If a child is stupid enough to give out their address to meet an adult, chances are there wouldn't be anything consensual going on, even if that were legal.
