I hate it when they say “I’m a father, too! I have kids that are the same age!” That never fails to gross me out. They might as well be saying “I also have a child the same age as the one I was trying to violate”.
They always say they wouldn't want some creep like them trying to molest their child either, but it never seems to stop them from turning up on a child's doorstep.

I remember when I was younger with my sister who’s a year older. We had just got the internet on the computer and dialup was happening with aim. My sister and I were curious and started hitting chat rooms which we heard through friends during school. This was around the time of to catch a predator which was how partially we learned there’s some nasty people out there online. I recall my sister and I were doing the typical a/s/l and talking to people who were supposedly our age, sometimes they asked for internet bf or gf. But this one time, I don’t know if it was them 100% but they told us they were a cop trying to talk to older men and that we need to be careful. I’m wondering if it was them just trying to look out for us or if it was someone goofing off. But boy did that make us realize there’s some bad sorts out there

We thought because of what you were engaged in doing, you must absolutely adore being in trouble. From the incriminating and wholly inappropriate messages and unlawful, obscene pictures you've been sending to a minor, and then showing up with condoms in your pocket and zero alibi, we were certain you couldn't wait to get in as much trouble as possible. Especially considering you have kids this same age! I mean, you can see where the misunderstanding occurred on our part, right? And we had no idea that you knew a lot of people, and talked to a lot of people, because had we known that beforehand, obviously things would have been much different. Everything you did makes complete sense now. Our bad!

@@InedibleOlive because she would’ve made great content. A lot of the preds start questioning stuff the second they walk in the door. Then when you have decoys that aren’t super convincing, the preds start to shut down and put walls up. Seeing a girl like her, who is actually convincing as a 12-14 yr old, would likely make them let their guard down and we’d end up with some top tier content.
Similar to Chris not being at the house when Twink Toilet showed up. His interview would’ve been amazing but Chris was busy making a district attorney kill himself.

I feel like the reason they don't have any is because the female counterparts tend to emotionally exploit a lot more and basically be craftier than the men. But that's just me. Kinda like the female teachers who got caught with male students, only not getting caught because they were more careful. 🤢
I recall Chris Hansen was asked about female predators, and he said that they have never had any show up. There were some who would chat, but they wouldn't initiate meeting up.
Female predators usually prey on kids they know - their students, kids, etc. and they’re not usually going out to find random kids on the internet.

There weren't any, if I were to guess I'd say its because female predators don't need to go online to find victims like these men do, they have much easier access through either work or their friend/family's kids, and people are going to be less suspicious of them than male predators.

Damn. I grew up in Ft Myers and Cape Coral. I currently work in FM. 😢 I can totally beliece the number of creeps they found. Its still a bit of a problem around here. I have a vivid memory of my dad adding extra locks to my sister and i's windows saying "THE ONLY TIME you unlock this is if there is a fire. Otherwise NEVER remove this lock." He was dead serious. Kinda crazy looking back on it and seeing this episode took place in 2006 when my sister and I were 5 and 7. Which mightve been around when i had that memory.
Kinda crazy! Im gonna have to ask him now why he decided at THAT specific time to add locks to our windows and see if there was a correlation.

Isn’t it kinda weird that most of these people already look like they’d commit predatory crimes? I think we kinda need to consider shamelessly judging a book by its cover where it counts. If it comes to my protection or a child’s protection, you bet I’m hella judging that cover. 😂
The only problem with that is, not all predators look like creeps. A lot are just normal looking people. If you only judge the book by its cover so to speak, you could potentially be leaving your child vulnerable to an unknown attacker.
@@druelia9485 I know, there isn’t really anything to do about that besides just don’t leave your child where you can’t see them. But otherwise it’s best to make judgement of people for your own safety. Even judgement doesn’t actually determine who is and isn’t safe to be around but it sure does make a difference with safety compared to being naive and thinking everyone is a normal person. My step cousin and even someone in my moms half of blood relatives are both pedophiles. One I could kinda tell was already off, and the other (step cousin) I had no clue until he tried to be very predatory with me. Luckily there wasn’t an instance where he was able to do anything. Better to be wary of most people than none at all Ykno?
See the problem is that not only do they look like predators, they are low IQ enough to meet up with the sting decoy. Most of the time the decoy sounds blatantly fake. The smarter predators just don’t fall for it as much or they abuse children in their close proximity, probably ones they can intimidate into silence like a student, or a niece. The smarter ones probably know that pretty/handsome priviledge is real and how if you look good people will assume good things about you(think this phenomena is called the halo effect).
Seriously though. Of course there’s predators out there that look like any average person you’d come across on the street. But 8 times out of 10, the face does fit the crime. An actual disgusting face for a disgusting crime

The first sting that Dateline did wasn't in conjunction with law enforcement. Those guys did just walk away. Dateline received a lot of criticism for allowing the predators that showed up to leave, which is why later shows involved the vigilante groups and police.
