- Chris MacFarland had a very good trade deadline this year. Maybe he didn't operate at a speed some of the fan base wanted, but it was a moment of "leave this to the professionals" for him and the Colorado Avalanche.

I’m fine with reviews, in most cases, but the problem is how long they can take sometimes. Reviews need a time limit, the whole point was to not miss blatant errors (Duchene offsides) if you can’t tell that it was a mistaken call in say 30 sec or 1 min or whatever then the call on the ice stands.
Interesting read on MacFarland. He got a lot of flack last year around this time for doing very little and many keyboard GM’s have been calling for his head ever since taking over for Sakic. What some folks didn’t realize is that not knowing Landy was going to be out all season really handcuffed them in the offseason. By the time the deadline came around, they didn’t have the foundation in place to make the right moves to make a run. So they made a few very small moves like Eller, probably assuming that “maybe” this team gets hot and goes on a run but more than likely, not our year. As for this season, it felt like there were “12” reasons (not saying his name) holding this team back that could be fixed with just a few moves. And then ‘viola’, he puts on a masterclass at the deadline and turns a 1st or 2nd round exit at best team into an absolute juggernaut cup contender and without getting all the biggest names. It is indeed fun to be a fan of this organization. Have to think the focus in the offseason will be getting Mikko signed long term and Mitts on probably a 4-year contract as I think their intention is for Richie to eventually take over that 2C spot when ready.
I love the idea of delay of game being treated as an icing. As for the high sticking challenge, I'd rather the officials do what I've noticed quite a bit this year and just call it a double minor and then review it like theyve been doing anyway.
making a team go down 2 guys cause of a bad review is just stupid ,agreed make it like an iceing for over the glass unless its so blatant no one near the guy and he flips it over then ok call a penalty,but to hammer a team 2 guys in the box is soooooo duummmb , like who even suggested that garbage why not just make it a auto goal at that point ffs

Delay of game used to not be a penalty and it was a problem. that's why it's now a penalty. I hope they do something about the referees abusing the 5min major review. They can't just call a major to view a replay. Ridiculous.
I went up to Loveland and saw the Eagles. Tufty didn’t look good unfortunately. He looked lost and didn’t play at the physical level of his opponents.
10 min 3 on 3 thats how u solve that ,unless ur gonna make an ot win or regulation worth 3 points the shootout needs to be gone

I disagree. The moves made the team much better. They have the squad to win, so now it's on the players and coaches to make that happen. The only caveat for me would be if the goaltending absolutely falls apart and we are giving up 5 every game in the playoffs....that would be on the office
