It would have been helpful to have some information regarding the buttons/lights on the additional plugs. We've had this system in our home for quite some time, but now one of the "home" buttons is flashing green and I can't suss out the problem.
The LED status info is available direct from Devolo.
Really great product. The design is very pleasing to the eye and compact. Thankfully I do have a strong Wi-Fi connection. Great video Dave.

great video, Dave. I have just got a T-link wifi extender and have that plugged in upstairs. The problem lies where the iPhone does not automatically switch to the strongest wifi, so when I am downstairs I have to manually connect to the downstairs network. Have you any ideas on how to overcome this issue?

I just received a pack of three dlan 500 duo.
They were advertised on Amazon UK .
But sadly, they are not suitable for the UK, only 2 pins !

Home button/led color has 4 possible status
1) Green light = high speed connection available
2) Orange light = good speed
3) Red light = poor speed
4) Green light (slowly blinking) no dLan connection
I've got the last one and read all the documentation available, reset everything to factory settings.... nothing works, which leads me to admit that this product is very poor (real shit I must say)
Those who wish to have a plug free underneath or on top, will prefer the Western Digital ones. They also have a long length of cable so you can reach your tv or whatever from the outlet. They are also pretty reasonably priced.

hello i have a devolo magic DIN rail and for some reason it's not work well this day, for me i think that has some internect conflit (i have routers a the devolo system spread around), as devolo don't have dhcp, can u try to guess what is causing this conflict? (home icon blink red some this and other green)

Hey Dave, very good video, thank you very much :) I have just one question left: Although devolo promises up to 500MB/s , why don't they use a gigabit ethernet port on these devices? In Amazon's description, it says that the kit uses fast ethernet (up to 100MB/s). How much Dataflow could you achieve with the devolo kit?
500Mbps on wireless, 100MBps on wired.
Hello i have a question. I installed my devolos but they don't work when i try to connect to them to my phone it says that it is getting the IP adress but it never connects and also when i go watch my main devolo who is connected to the modem the light is red instead of green what do i have to do ???

+martine chevalier This might be due to the quality or circuitry of your house wiring. Only way to be sure is to get an electrician to check it.
The video is nothing like the instruction book so I am now more confused and doesn't demo the actual details of linking the three devices. The instruction book tells me to note down the network key from underneath one box, but that was not mentioned. I keep hunting for videos that will not tell me it's 'easy' but will really go through each step. I've not found one yet.

I’ve bought two of the identical ones and the master plug hasn’t came why is this and I’ve connected it to my Xbox 1s and it’s giving 0.90 mbps and 433 latency is this because I don’t have the master plug . I only got them today from amazon do u think I could give the one back and get my money back then by the master plug
Sounds like they may have sent you add on modules instead of a starter kit.

I know i'm a little late haha but i have these for years and they give good wifi so why buy new ones. We just moved to another house and we have allot of internet problems. I personally installed the devolo divices but it doesnt matter where I put the 2nd device in it says that it cant find my IP adress. Do you know a fix for this ??. (both lights are green)
Maybe your new house has a different construction that might benefit from mesh WiFi.
I am still worried about these and interference with HF radio. Are they still causing the problem? Radio hams love their radios and I would not want to make their lives hell just because I couldn't be bothered to run a cable :(

The bottom button with the house on it is red and I'm getting apalling speed of 120kbps, however the top button with the wifi is green and working very well. Anyone knows a solution?

Like the video. Before I purchase this product can you tell me if the master and two slave units can be plugged into socket adaptors or must it be plugged into a wall socket?
I have had mixed success, plugging direct into the wall outlet is the best solution. Buy a kit that has a through-port then plug your extension into that.
How do we exactly install it? I plug them but the network doesn't appear in my devices.

From memory you will need an app to configure them.
