for most of the army, yeah the forces were weak... but the 88th division and the divisions that fought in burma? they were absolutely strong, well trained divisions. it's a shame the entire army wasn't developed like they were, japan wouldn't have stood a chance.

@@jeegupopli1871 The KMT were scattered and the military was mostly sided with individual former warlords. The military was unmechanized, and had a lack of roads. With this, the number of people involved in the war with Japan would have a limit, if it were to go pass this limit, the Chinese Army would not have enough ammunition and food to supply it’s army. This would mean that China would have the same men the Japanese would in a battle. And the Japanese were not ill-equipped, the Japanese were very industrialized while China was very agricultural-based, using this to their advantage, they absolutely rolled the Chinese. The KMT tried the hardest they could do, don’t undermine their ability if you do not know the problems they were facing.

@@jeegupopli1871 The KMT does need to be recognized, It was kind of similar to the Soviet Army, but in much more dire straits. China was less industrialized, more divided, and was fighting an enemy that was just as, if not more, hell bent on their destruction and enslavement. The fact that a country that had been gripped in a over 30 year civil war, (and was still half fighting it throughout) managed to fight off a vastly technologically superior, united enemy who had both an state engineered culture and racially motivated hatred and fanaticism is something that needs to be noted

@@AlternateTimelord the japanese weren't mechanised either they only had horses to hawl their equipment around in extremely swampy landscapes and when I say they outnumbered the japanese I mean they outnumbered them in every battle small or big,not the whole war. The Chinese were being supplied with enough equipment and training from the germans and the soviets while japanese had a resourceless and a broken land behind them it's actually surprising how they lasted for about 10 years in constant conflict. They only had a few outdated superlight tanks per battle to edge them over the chinese.

Nuts. The Green Faction is getting elected because the KMT, while it did a great job on developing the economy since 1949, has been a complete failure in preventing subversion and separatism. They are trying to strengthen relations with the mainland, but if Jiang Jieshi was alive, he would be trying to do that too.
Consider that the last remnants of the "KMT back then" - the old army generals - are literally saying China needs to invade Taiwan to remove Tsai Ing Wen, I'm pretty sure that the old KMT would have been very friendly to the mainland.

What? They escaped to Taiwan because it was the last part of China that hadn't been conquered by the Communist Party, and still today has yet to be conquered. But that doesn't not distract from the fact that the KMT's policy of strengthening relations with the mainland today is not unreasonable according to its own historical standards. If Jiang was alive today, he'd be probably very approving of Xi's mainland government. And it does not distract from the fact that the KMT has been in large part a failure from the 1980s onwards.

a través del negro campo abierto.
Nuestros ojos miran hacia todas partes
nuestros oídos escuchan hacia todos lados.
En silencio, sin hacer ni un ruido,
en silencio, sin hacer ni un ruido,
Penetrando hasta e corazón del enemigo,
penetrando hasta el corazón del enemigo,
esperando a que la señal se encienda,

Guys, do you ever sometimes wonder whether Asia today would be at harmony and peace had Nationalist China (ROC 🇹🇼) won the Chinese Civil War? Personally, I think things would at least be much better. If only we had some kind of time machine, brother. :(
    1. North Korea would have been quickly destroyed, reuniting all of Korea under a democratic republic.
    2. The Indian subcontinent would have been one happy family, and China and India would remain close allies and partners.
    3. The Tibetans would be peacefully practicing Buddhism under an elected government.
    4. Russia would have been changed into a pro-Western democracy, one way or another.
    5. China and America would be the world's foremost superpowers, and best friends together leading the Western and Eastern civilizations, perhaps forever and ever. :)

Τα όπλα σφιχτά στα χέρια μας
    Οι γενναίοι σύντροφοί μας
    Προώθησε στο ανοιχτό γήπεδο

Τα αυτιά μας ακούνε προς όλες τις κατευθύνσεις

Chinas failure to dominate Japan during the war is the reason Germany decides up allying with Japan.
At first, They wanted first china to be as an massive Asian wehrmacht see if they can defeat former WWI enemy japan, but the stahlhelmeted troops still are kinda losing all the time against a few bunch of samurais.
Typical chinese mainland nationalists today in the "CCP of Xi" actually wished they were the axis powers of WWII instead of Japan they think they deserve to win and get attention from Nazi Germany. Now these hypocrites claim the KMTs work they the chinese won as the CCP from the "fascist world" while still making endless Anti japanese and pro Chinese drama movies how strong " the Chinese " are compared to the japanese. They blur KMT CCP as china.
