    Read about this epic face-off: edmu.in/38ETzfn
    Today's drag race is a special one. First, we have the 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid. Sporting a 0-60 time of 2.3 seconds at our test track, the Model S Plaid is the fastest Tesla money can buy. And second, we have a special guest driver to join us on the track. Chris Moore is motorcycle drag racer and tuner, and he's brought a 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa and 2021 Kawasaki ZX-14R to race against the Plaid. It's the first time we have had the privilege to race a motorcycle on our test track, and it couldn't have come at a better time. With the Plaid S outputting 1,020 horsepower, we needed something a little different to go up against it. Does the fastest Tesla have what it takes to keep up with Chris and his bike? We can't wait to find out! This is our electric car vs. motorcycle drag race of the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Suzuki Hayabusa.

      Man I remember those days too. Now all my rc cars are brushless for speed runs and racing, and brushed for crawling and off roading. Nitro is still special too me but the electric cars are so fast now its not even reasonable. I saw an arrma rc car run an 8.5 second quarter mile and beat an F1 car. Unreal. Mine can't break 70 mph but it will get to 70 faster than pretty much anything besides a faster rc car. I raced a friend's audi r8 to 70 with my rc for fun and it wasn't even close. Willow is 2600 ft of elevation, dusty and windy and prone to extreme temps much of the year. I'd like to see what vehicles will do at a place with better pavement, a level surface and more reasonable average conditions. How about Famoso in Bakersfield? Be interested to see how long the battery will last (total lifetime, not individual charges) under repeated full power launches. Suspect this will overheat and kill the battery in quite a short time.

      @@jonm7272 Not in the Plaid no, it can do repeated launches without overheating at all due to it having one of the largest cooling systems on any car.

    Maybe race a bmw s1000rr with all those electronic aids to keep the front wheel under control or even an h2r

    • @sym438
      @sym438 Před 2 lety +4

      All those electronic aids will just do what the rider’s doing anyways which is limiting power to keep the wheels down. That’s not gonna increase your speed
