The second you see one, or even two people getting involved in road rage dumbassery like this - IMMEDIATELY shift into the right most lane and reduce your speed as much as you can. You can count on an accident resulting from this, and maintaining a low speed will greatly reduce the risk of getting caught in the crossfire of it.
90% of the time doing this will work. 10% of the time you will just get caught up in the pile-up. But slower speed should help reduce the likelihood of serious injury

The GMC driver cut off the Chevy guy so he passed him, then the GMC truck wanted to cut off the Chevy to retaliate and got what he deserved. It's 100% GMC's fault. Fast Lane is for fast traffic and you should move to the right. That's why you can get a ticket for impeding traffic.
There is no such thing as the fast lane. It's called the passing lane. Also the shoulder isn't for passing. GMC has plenty of time to take their foot of the accelerator and just let it go. Both drivers are at fault here.

The GMC started it simply by not giving a blinker, had the White truck had any indication that the GMC was planning to get over then it would have been reasonable for him to be expected to slow down if necessary. It's not "the fast lane" it is an additional "passing lane" just because the white truck is currently going faster does not give it precedence over that lane, and clearly the GMC had another vehicle it wanted to pass (that you could probably argue needed to move over to the right unless that yellow sign is saying "exit only" in which case... it's really just use your fucking blinker if you're getting over. I'd assume you were waiting for me to pass if you waited that long to get over. but side swiping another driver on the interstate? Dude just let him go by. It is not worth this.

Finally first objectively correct comment. White truck's only correct response after avoiding the first crash would be to break, asses the situation, and then re enter traffic behind the blue truck. Not speed up even more and overtake the next car via the soft shoulder, which on top of being illegal also provoked the blue truck to cause the accident at the end. Both drove very poorly.

Anyone driving with aggressive and violent behavior from road rage should not be driving or have the privilege of a drivers license. Both drivers were wrong, and both had a hand in this happening. However, the fact that we see no hints of taillights on white truck driving off into the sunset leads me to believe they knew they were at fault for running that truck off the road and not just into another lane..white truck definitely saw the other truck driving off the road.

Road rage is more along the lines of when someone takes dangerously aggressive steps to scare, hurt, or kill another driver as revenge for a perceived slight or insult. Like the person who tried to break my window in a snow storm because they didn't like that traffic wasn't moving. Or the truck that tried to run me off the road for a half mile because I did a proper zipper merge. I had to pretend to grab a revolver from the glove box to get him to stop.

if y’all really wanted to be serious, the person at fault is the person w/ the dash. none of this happens if they get out of the left lane. They’re cruising but at the start of the vid you can see the vast gap between her and the next car. she moves out the way and they both just drive past and go about their day
Both drivers were reckless. White truck was approaching way too fast, which means he was likely speeding. Black truck didn't check his mirrors or use a turn signal before switching lanes. It's possible this was even done intentionally to impede the truck speeding, which is extremely dangerous. Neither of them had any right or reason to pass the vehicle recording on the shoulder of the road. Other than life or death emergency situations, that is virtually never okay. The white truck obviously had to in order to avoid a collision due to the timing of the black truck's lane switch, but that would have been avoided had he not been speeding and approaching other vehicles so quickly. However the black truck chasing him by also passing on the shoulder is outright psychotic. Reacting so emotionally to a near-miss incident and then turning it into 3-vehicle collision that didn't even include the vehicle he was chasing. Some of the purest idiocy I've seen in a while.
Just yesterday I started driving after being at a stop light when someone flew around my side as they passed on the bike lane. Then it was a red light at the next light and they just blew the light and passed the person stopped there by going into the bike lane again... I seriously need a dashcam. Although considering how indept police are, I doubt they'd even do anything.

Slamming on your brakes is never a great option, but swerving and passing really is the safer route. Blue truck tried to cause multiple wrecks due first to negligence, then to malice. Had blue truck been allowed to pass, they would have continued to create life threatening situations. White truck prevented both and blue truck paid for their evil.

Dawg, the blue truck pushed the white truck into the shoulder, and the only thing the white truck could do was pass the truck with the dashcam. The blue truck didn’t realize it had pushed the white truck into the shoulder and thought the white truck was just trying to pass him like a jerk. Instead of brushing it off and not making a second dumb mistake, the blue truck got all mad and thought he’d do what he thought the white truck did (being a complete hypocrite), and then when the white truck didn’t trust the to not do something stupid, he tried denying the blue truck.

The GMC driver cut off the Chevy guy so he passed him, then the GMC truck wanted to cut off the Chevy to retaliate and got what he deserved. It's 100% GMC's fault. Fast Lane is for fast traffic and you should move to the right. That's why you can get a ticket for impeding traffic.
There is no such thing as the fast lane. It's called the passing lane. Also the shoulder isn't for passing. GMC has plenty of time to take their foot of the accelerator and just let it go. Both drivers are at fault here.
It's certainly both. The GMC started it simply by not giving a blinker, had the White truck had any indication that the GMC was planning to get over then it would have been reasonable for him to be expected to slow down if necessary.
It's not "the fast lane" it is an additional "passing lane" just because the white truck is currently going faster does not give it precedence over that lane, and clearly the GMC had another vehicle it wanted to pass (that you could probably argue needed to move over to the right unless that yellow sign is saying "exit only"

Anyone driving with aggressive and violent behavior from road rage should not be driving or have the privilege of a drivers license. Both drivers were wrong, and both had a hand in this happening. However, the fact that we see no hints of taillights on white truck driving off into the sunset leads me to believe they knew they were at fault for running that truck off the road and not just into another lane..white truck definitely saw the other truck driving off the road.

Road rage is more along the lines of when someone takes dangerously aggressive steps to scare, hurt, or kill another driver as revenge for a perceived slight or insult. Like the person who tried to break my window in a snow storm because they didn't like that traffic wasn't moving. Or the truck that tried to run me off the road for a half mile because I did a proper zipper merge. I had to pretend to grab a revolver from the glove box to get him to stop.

if y’all really wanted to be serious, the person at fault is the person w/ the dash. none of this happens if they get out of the left lane. They’re cruising but at the start of the vid you can see the vast gap between her and the next car. she moves out the way and they both just drive past and go about their day
Both drivers were reckless. White truck was approaching way too fast, which means he was likely speeding. Black truck didn't check his mirrors or use a turn signal before switching lanes. It's possible this was even done intentionally to impede the truck speeding, which is extremely dangerous. Neither of them had any right or reason to pass the vehicle recording on the shoulder of the road. Other than life or death emergency situations, that is virtually never okay. The white truck obviously had to in order to avoid a collision due to the timing of the black truck's lane switch, but that would have been avoided had he not been speeding and approaching other vehicles so quickly. However the black truck chasing him by also passing on the shoulder is outright psychotic. Reacting so emotionally to a near-miss incident and then turning it into 3-vehicle collision that didn't even include the vehicle he was chasing. Some of the purest idiocy I've seen in a while.
