I know you can’t put every fast car but you missed one very important car, the Mclaren F1, held top speed record at 240.1 mph for 30 years. Still the Fastest naturally aspirated car.

The Devel Sixteen is fake because since it was announced there has been no news that anyone on the planet has it and the one seen in the videos is just a kit car, it is not real and the SSC Tuatara is something similar, the speed that supposedly reached is false

@@X3PHYRE Although I cannot deny that it has a great design, it is outrageous that they deceive people by saying that it is the fastest when there has never been a single test to confirm it, it is like the Mercedes T80 that supposedly would reach a maximum speed of 750 km/h but a test was never carried out but the difference is that that car does exist and the Devel is just a kit car that wants to deceive with its false statistics, one of them is that it supposedly has a V16 when in reality it is a V8
At the end by the devil sixteen name it says "claimed" meaning it is just a rumor of how fast it goes

For the F1 car: you gotta specify that it was this precise Honda BAR car which was modified with a big sharkfin and no rear or front wings, to specifically reach 400 km/h. Top speed of modern and older 2000s F1 cars doesn't exceed 354 km/h on average.

Cars have very high aero settings there, but the high altitude gives the engine extra power (EDIT: no extra power, but the lower air density gives less aerodynamic resistance on the wings when on the straights. My bad.), which lets the car get close to 360km/h even with very high downforce.
The fastest ever recorded speed for an F1 car was Valtery Bottas in a Willians hitting 378kph in Baku back in 2016.

this helped me to better able understand speed as a reality, instead of just numbers being rattled off on a page. i loved seeing the hypercars fly down the road, because i usually only see the real thing in separate videos, and usually the cars are just on display, or being driven casually. this was a fun look at the difference in in velocity from a certain point of view. i was hoping to see planes, trains and rocket ships as well, but i guess that's another video.

Correction: That specific F1 car that reached 248 MPH was a modified Honda BAR with no wings or shark fins. That kit never actually raced, just a experimental prototype. F1 cars typically only reach around 220 MPH at specific tracks like Monza. Current F1 cars can't reach 230+ MPH. F1 cars in the mid to late 2010s could reach 230+ MPH, but it required a perfect combo of track (Like Mexico where the thinner aero reduces air resistance), qualifying trim, DRS, and tow from car ahead.
IndyCars meanwhile do reach speeds up to 230+ MPH during the Indy500. IndyCars have a unique low downforce aero kit they use for the ovals instead of the normal road course aero kit.
Would have been neat to include other race cars or experimental race cars like the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo Tribute which reached 229 MPH during its record setting run on the Nordschliefe.

Major problems with this video:
1. A lot of the black text is unreadable. It should have a white stroke around it.
2. The model year should have been consistently included.
3. Why did it leave out supercars that held the production car speed record, like the Lamborghini Countach, the Shelby Cobra, and the Astin Martin DB4?
4. Way too many EARLIER cars were also left out, like the Duesenberg, which held land speed records that lasted for generations. It skips straight to recent supercars.
I wouldn't have minded seeing the real land speed holders too, the rocket cars. The Spirit of America set a record of 407 miles per hour a long time ago. The Green Monster, the Blue Flame, the Thrust all are/were even faster. The record now is 760 miles per hour, faster than the speed of sound, by a car with wheels driving on the ground.
And I'm setting aside the exaggerated speed claims listed over the official records. That kind of choice is understandable.
Great critiques, I hope they implement them. Especially about the earlier iconic cars. Video should specify these are production car speed records and do a land speed record later. But I'll give credit were it's due, this is a great video and was enjoyed. I hope they take this constructive criticisms to heart to improve on a fantastic video.

For all the Supra kids here, top speed of mk4 Supra rangeds from 250 to 277 km/h. There are multiple Supras with different modifications and different speeds, he can't include all of them

No formula 1 car can reach 400km/h in normal conditions, most of the sounds are wrong, some cars didn't even have a run registered to count as the real speed. The video is "Ok", u could certainly made a bigger effort to get it all right.

u should only include cars that REALLY did those speeds and not just some simulations of it. The SSC Tuatara never drove that fast and many other also didnt like the CC850.

Talking about the Devel sixteen, is still in development by pininfarina in italy by one of the developers of the apollo intenza emozione, also there will be two versions of the Devel, the V8 street version of 2000hp and the v16 racing version of 5000hp.

Reasonably and interestingly accurate. I say reasonably as (e.g.) the McLaren F1 reached 240.01mph in 1998, and I say interestingly as it's notable particular brands are gunning for top honours. The latter aside, what's the point with these crazy speeds!? The world has gone mad (along time ago might I add). It's absolutely pointless, especially as the cars seldom get used and become museum pieces for people (mostly men) to salivate or vvank over.
because humans like big numbers. in a way seeing the limits of what they can push the top speed of their production vehicles does serve as advancements and study in enginering for other applications specially for actual motorsports, but otherwise the top speed record is just a trophy being disputed by buggatti, koenigsegg and hennessey in the past decade, with some trying to claim for themselves. funny thing is, koenigsegg recently said it wont be gunning for that record anymore after the Jesko and its gonna make cars focussed on other performance aspects and some less exclusives, and hennessey is a big can of worms with the shit theyve done in the past so...

@@Kepler170 they can be used in every aspect of the industry actually, many cars that claimed speed records did also ended up serving as studies for many other great supercars and track cars alike. The Mclaren F1 is perhaps one of the greatest examples.
however nowdays there are super and hypercars that provide better tech and study material for future models that arent speed record focused, and a lot for the latter really are more of an exhibition thing mostly. still, i wouldnt call it pointless but definitelly not something that should be so overfocused by these brands, like how i mentioned koenigsegg is not gonna make other recors breakers after the jesko because it wants invest in diferent aspects for their future hypercars, even if theyre gonna still be very high eprformance ones.
