I was heartbroken seeing the stork crying for her nest, but got instant relief seeing the whole story. I give highest praise to any act of kindness towards animals. Thank you guys for making this girl happy again!!
In my country, stork nests are constructed by people too. The put up the metal frame just like you see in the video. The reason is that storks like to nest on chimneys. So in order to ensure that the house is protected from fire or its inhabitants dying of CO poisoning, they provide nesting places on high points that don't bother houses. Lamposts are perfect. They are up high which provides safety and people love the sight of storks coming to visit and raise chick's before trekking to Africa in the winter.
This happened in Ukraine. There are letters - МПО on the red vehicle. It means Місцева Пожежна Охорона - Local Antifire Guard. Another vehicle was from a local electricity supplying company - they had put the iron welded basement for the new nest. In Ukraine many storks are buidling their nests on the top of the electricity pillars. Hence there are cases of self ignition because of the short circuit. This may also affect the quality of the electricity delivered to the houses sockets.

The firefighters were not only were wonderfully compassionate to the fact that her spirit was going to be broken when she discovered the loss, (you even see her startle when she discovered that it was destroyed,) but they also showed a large amount of cross-species-emotional-intelligence by adding what could be salvaged; not only could she use her senses to identify that that was her nest, getting/making her a safe landing/frame/mold/etc., whatever you want to call it, ensured she didn’t miss a breeding cycle due to the lack of an adequate nest/suitable location to construct said nest, (and stork nests are roughly the size of an SUV’s windscreen.) Finally, just an overall wonderful stroke of luck that she had not yet laid that season’s brood. Sometimes luck and timing are The Real MVPs.

That's why I always refrain in passing judgement on many very short clips of videos. This could have been easily misrepresented. I am so happy to see the firefighters working so hard to help the storks rebuild. Touching footage.
Yep & you can bet there's a shorter version of this video going around as we speak portraying a very different story.
The firefighters did their job to extinguish fire, and beyond to restore that nest 😢
Somehow, was good because no eggs were in that nest, at the time when fire-fighters took it down, if bird reacted like that when the nest was destroyed imagine loosing eggs along how harder would be..
Meanwhile two houses burned down.
The dude in this vid SAYS they came back and did it, but that might be a completely different group of people that did it (I personally don't know). I'm not saying anything negative about the firefighters, just showing an example of how easy it is to make people believe something on the internet. Our brains are too easy to trick, so we have to willfully exercise skepticism. Otherwise, we'll be prone to believe any harmful lie we hear
God Bless this man that put a strong nest ❤
Thank you for sharing the full story about the compassionate Fire Fighters. Sadly, there are people who cherry pick videos like this to completely change the events to get attention or denigrate someone they dislike.
May God bless, protect and guide all our Fire Fighters, Paramedics, Police and Military who put their lives on the line every day and their families all the days of their lives.

right. i thought for moment that she had eggs in it but she was still building it
Storks don't actually cry lol
This is the reason you should get the whole story in every situation instead of reacting emotionally on what you're shown.
Its a bird. It doesn't cry or laugh.
I guessed Moldova but this makes sense. Thanks for adding some context.
More specifically - in western part. The logo on the crane is of Prykarpattya Oblenergo - regional electric company.
Wrong. Its from Estonia. Firefighter has PÄÄSTE written on his back. Thats Estonian short word for PÄÄSTEAMET (Firefighters).
@@Taevasilm It's Ukraine. There is another person with Ukrainian words on the back - rescue service. I think that firefighter wears clothes from aid that was provided maybe by Estonia because of what is currently happening in Ukraine.

This is in Ukraine. The firefighters are titans. They are first to rescue after russian attacks. But sometimes they die, because Russians use the “double-tap” tactic: hit civilian buildings, wait for the first responders, and hit again in the same spot.
