      You know, I have a reasonable amount of trust in technology, but that product made me realize what my line is: my theoretical kids. Like if I lost both my arms because I tried to walk on my hands across a minefield and still insisted on living the "American mom dream" of driving a baby around in a stroller rather than just having some kind of harness, this could be a useful product.

      Flying cars, at the very least, are a scam. There's too many problems with implementing them, least of which is that you'll probably need a pilots certificate to fly one. How do you get them to mesh with the current airspace system? That's probably the biggest obstacle right now.

    The baby stroller is a excelent showcase of how disconnected we are when it comes to relationships and parenting. Handsfree stroller then tv then tablets and people then complain that their kids dont care about them.

    • @TodorKatsarski
      @TodorKatsarski Před rokem +4

      Exactly. Years ago I was thinking about motor-assisted strollers, but the parent is still the one holding and pushing the stroller (just with a lot less force). That would help for places with high differences in elevation, but not touching the stroller at all? The poor baby...
      And here we're not even talking about bugs... Imagine the stroller just keep moving while the parent is looking somewhere else and the stroller just goes... That would be a horrible situation. I don't want to be the developer working on this product. Bugs there can have serious consequences. AI in cars are nice, but not perfect and the development budgets there are enormous. The development budget for the stroller? I highly doubt it's going to be enough for the same level of safety. Yeah - I know the speed is low and "It'S uP To ThE paAReNt to lOoK fOr ThEIr ChILD sAfEty", but what if there are 2 parent just walking and talking to each other and a stroller moving by itself with a baby sleeping it. The 2 parents then keep talking without noticing that the stroller keeps moving without stopping (due to a bug). That's a danger situation waiting to happen.

      Seems like a great safety hazard. What happens if there's a incline, will it just shoot on down? Do people really feel safe not holding onto the stroller that has your baby in it? How does it know when to turn and when not to, or do you have to keep physically turning it which kinda defeats the purpose

    Regarding the stroller:
    With western Europeans having a hard-on for "eMobility" Bosch nearly made an electric pram product line a few years back. They were almost ready to start mass production before someone finally had the common sense to actually ask people if they even wanted it. Now, considering that noone in their right mind would trust AI in it's current rudimentary form with the safety of their baby the project got canned.

    6:33 Sort of like Magsafe wireless charging. Not surprizingly in phones long before Apple
    The early competitor to Qi wireless charging had magnets to center devices on the charging coil my 2014 Kyocera Hydro Vibe used this standard, worked OK but it was 2014 so wireless charging was slow, at least it didnt get your phone super hot though.
    Notable features of the Hydro was its low price, reletively high performance for $50 without contract, water resistant design, bone induction earpiece, glove friendly touch screen, dedicated camera button.
    What am i forgetting. OH YEAR a freaking tool free replacable battery, SD card slot and headpone jack
    This was the phone that made me not beleive the marketing lies about how they needed to seal these phones to make them durable, because of the 3 phones i bought for using outdoors, none of them have died
    Where as my 'sealed rugged portless' phones seem to go bad after 2 years
    Its odd the phone that is easy to repair with 3rd party parts never needs fixing, where as the phone that makes it illegal to repair with 3rd party parts because of abuse of the DMCA needs to be repaired every few years.
