While it's true you're right, the music this episode was really good IMHO!
I kept focusing more on the music than Riley at times - the music is too damn loud and didn't fit the scene.
The ideal would be going to a more generic soundtrack that can just play in the background quieter but more consistently.

i think the problem with youtube is that i cannot share youtube clips within youtube intuitively, it has to go through other social media apps. that might stop alot of people from using shorts. the social aspect of tiktok is really big imo
Eh, I am not so sure about that, sending tiktoks to my friends through tiktok still feels weird to me even though I do it somewhat regularly, even more so just speaking through tiktok. I prefer just sharing over Whatsapp or Discord depending on the situation, but that might be a cultural difference between my country and well, whatever yours is.
I do agree on the fact that the social aspect of Tiktok is what makes it great, but by that I mean the comments, duos, replying to comments with a tiktok, etc. TT just makes it really easy to engage with people, and that makes it great

There was a direct messaging feature in the app, after the very old system used on the website, and both have been taken down
There was a time when CZcams had friends list features and you could instant message them and share videos to your CZcams friends. They did away with that to integrate CZcams into Google's Google+ social media site, which flopped hard and was abandoned after a few years.
I've always shared YT videos through chat apps (Messenger, WhatsApp, Line, Instagram DM, etc) using the share button under the video and selecting the chat app or copying and pasting the link if that failed.
When I used FB before, I could post it on my wall.
Most people with a TikTok account are content consumers so I consider it less of a social network compared to Insta/FB where almost everyone posts stuff.
Google lobbying the feds to get it banned probably helps as well.

Shorts are still such a mismatch on yt...you can't fave/add to playlist, can't seek, description is so hidden, can't search it afaik (one of the primary benefits of yt), if you miss a short you'd be searching a needle in a haystack to find it again
* It's also hard to see the date of the short which is annoying considering how much topical content is on yt and the algo recommends stuff from over a year ago lol
you just need to redirect the view to video view by changing a part of the url.
There is extension that makes shorts like regular vids.

Yeah just use the "watch=" url instead of the shorts url, that lets you watch them in the normal watch page. Much better experience.
I dislike the format and the rare time I do click on one, I can't change the volume. Kind of lame at this point.

I wish, that as a Google customer and CZcams subscriber, I could select what content I want in my feed: Videos and/or, Shorts and/or Livestream. Then I could have a Shorts-free experience, which is why I want.

There is at least 1 hacky way to remove them from most of your feed.
There are browser extensions that do that.
Ublock Origin can remove shorts from the home page easily on PC and mobile with firefox.
Ublock origin filters on pc and revanced on android can fix that.
I prefer it if CZcams has competition, no matter how many problems the competition has. I hope they both stick around and force each other to be better.
if Tiktok starts giving ad-revenue to creators because of this, then all the better for the community (there's Pulse Creators but that's really limited, don't even know if that program was ever launched)
I don't use TikTok, but I do think the yt shorts feature still leaves much to be desired. On PC it uses like 5% of your screen space, and it has way less features than the normal video player.
No tiktok needs to go, the Chinese are actively collecting data off the citizens. It's very dangerous

I hate TikTok and CZcams is trying to lure people into the Shorts® swipe-loop. It's very annoying, also it's unclear when something was posted unless you long-press, same goes for the titles, which usually are stupid and don't describe the content... That makes searching for a good one you might want to revisit to show a friend for example basically impossible. If you want to watch a part 2 of a short, because it couldn't fit in the first minute, again good luck. You don't see titles that often don't match the content and because you don't see when something was posted without doing additional clicking you won't find that 6 month old Short part 2 update anytime soon on the creator's page, because just linking to it in the description or a pinned comment is just something they can't seem to learn.
CZcams Shorts suck for the same reasons TikToks suck, only YT is worse and neither need to be improved, only disbanded.

I agree but I also disagree with the removal of shorts.
The way I see it, TikTok is like smoke and Shorts is like vape. They are both incredibly bad for you, but Shorts is a move in the right direction. Id rather see people using Shorts (by an American company) than TikTok (a shitty spyware app by the CCP)

The thing about the spy balloon is that it can controll the direction it is going to an extent. It is being pushed by the wind but the balloon is ending up in area where the wind shouldn't be blowing it to.

Weird that the Netflix help page was just for them, considering I reached out to support for clarification on it and they didn’t mention that to me. As a military member that gets deployed for 6 months at a time, having to “verify” my device every 7 days when away from home will just be too ridiculous

Smartphone sales are down by a huge margin. People aren't buying new phones right now with a combination of looming recession fears and the fact that phones aren't really getting much better. Phones from 3-4 years ago are still faster than they need to be, and the manufacturers are just releasing the same phone every year with a 10% faster chip and a few more megapixels in the cameras.
@@zues287 they're used in more than just smartphones too, cars, tvs, they have camera tech, audio tech, they do more than just phones, which is why I say I'm surprised since they're a back bone manufacturer for multiple things. Similar to how Samsung as a whole company makes everything most tech related companies want and sells it to everyone.

People aren't stuck at home all day with free money anymore, and the economy has been on a downtown. Add in the record high inflation, and most people don't have the money to throw into new cars or electronics because they're spending so much more on food, rent, bills, etc.

Yeah, i fell victim to virus on google ads. I wanted to download Rufus, not the first time, i clicked the first link with rufus in it, downloaded software and ran it. Nothing happens, few days later google informed me that it logged out because of safety reasons and i changed password. I do a malware scan, nothing, i downloaded small app in the same location, deffender informed me that there was a trojan in rufus folder.

That's some scary Netflix news. It's already bad that Disney+ has gone full anti password on us by requiring you to HAVE A PHONE TO TYPE A 4 OR 6 NUMBER CODE JUST TO SIGN IN! Expecting people to have phones in the first place is a bad thing for streaming platforms to do.

I hate that. Me, personally, I'm anti phone. Only times I ever used a cell phone It's only use was for my employer calling me on my day off asking me to come in. Sure, I have a cheap ass Obamaphone just for emergency purposes or to watch CZcams or Amazon Prime when the power goes out.
I get so tired of needing a phone just to sign up for accounts.
I have never needed to enter any code sent to either an email or phone while logging into Disney+ (using my sister's account). In fact just for a test I just tried logging in using a different web browser I've never used on D+ before connecting through a VPN server with an IP I've never used with the account before so it would appear to be a completely new device and location to their system, and it logged in perfectly fine without requiring any such code. While I agree requiring codes sent to phone or email is annoying it isn't required on D+ in my experience.

They probably wouldn't manipulate source code willy-nilly. It's more likely that the source code people are allowed to view isn't actually the source code used in their live service.
But without hard proof that's always going to be speculation.
