At which level are you right now?
1 arm pushup
I scraped the master level with my freestanding hspu but I know I've lost it so I'm currently on expert.
I can do one pushup
on my knees
I can do 12 regular pushups and I haven't tried any other variations
Advanced
You can see the difficulty level just by the color of his head during the exercises.
that deserves more likes lmao :')

Hard.... for pushup
Its way easier to let yourself down, than to push yourself up. I feel u.
Do u need a hug
But if you try to push yourself up while going down it's way harder than just to push 🖐
Hahahahahha
hahaha :D
@@badlynice4692 definitiv!
Doesn't matter what kind of pushups you're doing... you are on the right path.
🔥🔥🔥
How many can you do? MORE!
False. I’ve been stuck at 24 push ups for months and whenever I try to do 25 I can’t no matter how hard I try to push myself.
@@paull2937 are you even doing them properly? Lmao
33 push up is my limit
Age 71, 6'4" 218, BF 19.2% today. Finishing my first year doing push-ups. Straight talk: push-ups are hard. Now at Level 3 Advanced. 50 consecutive FE push-ups is my best. I will do over 12,600 push-ups in my first year of training. I love push-ups now. My goal is to be able to do a few one-arm push-ups and - with a trainer next to me - maybe a handstand pushup or two. 39 consecutive FE push-ups is the Top One Percentile for 60 year olds so I am feeling pretty good about my progress. I need to take a day off to let my shoulders and triceps receover a bit. I like a hot epsom salt bath at night to help recover and relax. I usually do about 150+ push-ups every other day; 253 is my record in one session. I have learned that the mind wants to quit long before the body will fail. So I have taught myself to run out to 35 consecutive push-ups and then rest with arms extended. I can usually push out additional 10-15 more. I love 20" declines; a great way to tighten your core. I mix in some bench press (265 max my best now) and triceps pulldowns on the cables along with dips. The weights will help your push-up endurance. Push-ups help me develop what I call a "warrior spirit" by fighting through the discomfort. We have many young people at my club (Lifetime Fitness) doing push-ups - men and women. I do believe it is contagious. I think others watch the Old Guy (me) and think, "Hey maybe I should try that?" Next thing you have a small community and we all encourage each other. It's fun and you make friends. Start with the proper form; arms tight to the ribs. Don't compare yourself to others. It's not a competition. Find your baseline even if it's 2-3 push-ups to start - no problems. Keep a good attitude and keep at it. You can do this - I promise you. You will be so proud of yourself. You will be so happy to see your new upper body after 6-9 months...and you will love it! Good Luck.
Cheers man! Totally second the sentiment that the mind quits way before the body does. Which is the secret I've found to building mental toughness in general. If you can keep pushing your mind to what it thinks is the limit, and then surpass it, you are constantly broadening what your mind perceives as possible. This is the best allegory as well as method to success in life even outside of the gym.
Yo and if you didn't know larger muscles directly influences stronger bones. So keep at it old man.
Level 0 - watching other people do push ups as my routine
Just thinking about exercise builds muscle, so you're on the right track.

Just get on the floor and to some pushups. I don't get how people can keep making excuses.
Would recommend taking days off for recovery. Gluck
The same goes for me
Do it once in two day ok
currently im on diamond pushups, i was super excited when i was able to do them, because i was on normal pushups for a long time but since i added decline pushups it helped me to get to the diamond. i still cant do alot all i can do is like 2 but i am making progress :D
EDIT 1: I can now do 8 diamond pushups in a row, and they are getting much easier also it’s been like half a month since I made this comment

Did 50 negatives the other day and I am super duper sore. Going to go on a regular push up regiment. My chest, triceps, shoulders, back are all going to benefit. So many muscles are recruited. Going to build a leg routine too. Body weight for biggest gains in my opinion. 56 years old. No alcohol or anything so nothing standing in my way. Just do it everyone. Good luck. Summer is coming.

I'm low level inclined. Just started my calisthenics journey at 55. Very informative content. Thank you
47 here. I had never done a single workout when I started my journey 2 years ago. I barely did one regular push-up at my first attempt. Today I'm struggling to do 2 handstand push-ups in a row. Just be consistent (which I failed to do so) and stay away from weights as they increase the risk of getting injured. Calisithenics is way safer. Good luck mate!

Awesome video. It would be great if you guys did the same for the other fundamental movements (squats, pull ups, abs, and bridges).
Totally agree, we need one for pull-ups!
Thank you, Calisthenic Movement!
Following this mini guide, I was able to do my first set of 5 ring push-ups today (then it dropped to 3 and 3 again on the following sets)! My normal push-ups max set was 40 reps up until a week ago (that's the absolute maximum while fresh, but normally I hit 20-30/set), which is why I felt the need to try harder variations to keep growing at a good pace.
Oddly, normal diamond push-ups are still too hard, but I can do 8 while on my knees, though it's rough on my elbow joints - with time, it should improve, as is always the case with calisthenics.

@@johannes01 I began with being able to do 3 „clean“ base pushups. It took some time to drive the pushup into the chest and back, instead of really pushing with your biceps. So mostly I did the exercises with wrong form for about a week until I got the idea to workout in front of a mirror … well. I am now able to do 17 „clean“ basic pushups max - my core is really getting strength from this, I stretch before every training. I now do 3 sets of 7 reps to get a nice burn without overworking it. I really need to focus on form as this is the main reason why I never had much progress.

@@guywithamoustache2391 Hey! I am still only doing “basic pushups” - I was unable to push myself mentally through the pain.
