You CAN Do Pushups

I have a longer video on this, but I'm posting this for the Shorts Shelf. Plus some people like the bite-sized videos!
If you can't do a pushup, don't let it ruin your day!
Fitness is a journey, and we're all at different places.
Just find a pushup variation that you CAN do safely and competently, and work it until you're able to hit a goal of sets and reps!
Then you can move on to a harder variation.
Here's the progression:
Wall Pushups - 3 sets of 50
Incline Pushups - 3 sets of 40
Kneeling Pushups - 2 sets of 25
That's it! Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to address them!
I'll make a follow-up to this on how to build up to one-arm pushups!
Thanks so much for watching!

I also want to thank all the new followers that have joined recently. I really, really appreciate the love and support you all show me and I'll do my best to earn it.

Do you use the selfie camera while videoing? Or the regular position? If you don’t mind me asking.

@@andrewzavala9633 you’re obviously a man bro u realize they’re called girl push-ups bc they’re easier than normal ones, for weaker people, the fact they’re called girl push-ups is indirectly saying women aren’t as strong as men. the reason why it’s called a girl push-up on the fitness test is bc of how women were perceived as weaker since forever bc of misogyny that’s been embedded into our society.
@@yuliuka6449 Genetically women lack the same amount of muscle mass as men. Doesn’t mean women can’t be strong and workout all it means is men are more often then not naturally stronger then women. It depends. Some people derive motivation from being challenged. You may call it "shaming" but the reality is it more about challenging the person to push past their limits than anything approaching "shame". Typically this is a more competitive person.
It isn't effective with everyone, but if you are that kind of person than he would not be the best fit for a personal trainer.

@@turtlebot323 two things.
1: girl pushups arent called girl pushups because girls are weaker, it's to degrade people whi need aid in doing a normal pushup because it's not "manly".
2: what I mean by him being calming is that he doesnt shame you for not being able to do a pushup like lots of other workout youtubers. Being calming and understanding that someone is trying is a lot better than just telling them to man up and do it
@@Not_Claptrap so than why do girls do them practically everywhere like are you serious ?
Oh look, a non-toxic fitness enthusiast. Imagine that. They exist.
Sometimes the toxicity just build you more lol
omg ur right he is just cheerful
Wow... someone “with” aspergers being passive aggressive for no reason at all. Imagine that. They exist.

1. Out of six people who replied to this, you are the only who is offended. I think your reaction says more about you than it does me.
2. Follow up to that, what does passive-aggressiveness have to do with being on the spectrum?
3. Lastly, why is "with" in quotation marks like that? You're not quoting anyone. The only other option I can think of is sarcasm quotes, but again, the word is _quotation_ marks, and my name is "kissMyAspergers", not like, "SomeNonbinaryDudeWithAspergers", so even then, your choice of punctuation makes no sense.
Have a nice day.

when he said that they’re not girl push ups it warmed my heart, whenever my pe teacher said that the girls would do the knee push ups i always got mad and did the normal ones to spite him lol
@@lawyerreactsnotthemoon85 beat the guys in what?
@@Wildridefilms in who could do more pushups??😂 Idk where ur from, but our pe teachers would always make us do boy's vs girl's, in primary and middle school. Loser team would have to run extra 🤧, winner team would get to sit out at the end. Guys called eachother girls often when they lost. It goes to show how ingrained, and normalized the sexism was even in children, for example. But those types of things were just "normal at that time. Idk how it is these days, but I'm sure it's alot better now. It was normal, to put women down as a joke. Be it "subtley" or blatantly to 'make men feel better about themselves.' So anyways, yeah that shit makes no fucking sense. lmaoo😂

@@lawyerreactsnotthemoon85 interesting... Where I live in girls are not allowed to compete with boys because they complain about minor injuries a lot. I remember when I was in like 8th grade we had a mixed football match(soccer). A girl tripped on the ball and scraped her elbow and blamed it on a guy who was trying to tackle her. So boys here avoid playing with girls most of the time.
“This is a great therapy exercise that we DONT NEED TO SHAME”
Exactly! I hate that.
Also “Pushups should NOT hurt”
I guess I’ve been doing something wrong then, that really blew my mind
Doing a let of reps in a set that doesn’t garner immense pain is healthier and more consistent to fine tune your muscles, while doing hard/high weight exercises with low reps in a set is good for building chunks of muscle but it can be dangerous as a lot of people don’t know when too much hurt could lead them to a hospital. It isn’t always wrong to try for the more risky method, but this video is for beginners and a novice should always start with the safer and more consistent method.

You mean girl push ups?
My noodles for arms always hurt when I’m just struggling on doing a push-up
@@PinaaaColaaa that’s why you incrementally work your way there. Unless you’re genetically gifted with Viking muscles, everyone starts small.
Your suggestions sound good, im going to try it. I cant do pushups properly, no matter how hard i tried but i am going to follow your suggestions✌️
