This guy makes fitness feel like an actual hobby than a hardcore lifestyle, and I love it
I think fitness is inherintly a lifestyle since i think it is a standard that everyone takes care of themselves. But it can be both
Yes! We need more of this perspective to make fitness fun! MFFA, make fitness fun again!
@@stwong2000 Agreed, although part of it really depends on what life situation you're approaching fitness from. Some people need to be able to view it as a hobby at the start in order to make it into a lifestyle, because it really is meant to be a lifestyle, but some people just don't have the right habits/discipline built up to properly integrate fitness into their lives. For others, though, they already have what it takes to handle to rigors of working out regularly, so for them making it into a lifestyle thing is easy. But I still totally agree in that, ideally, one should regard fitness as a standard of health and self-care.
as it should, if you don’t think of fitness as an enjoyable and positive aspect of your life you’ll never go anywhere with it
Eventually, when you've been hardcore for a while, it becomes a hobby. Initially I did not enjoy working out 6 days a week with cardio every single day. However, with time I feel better in every way (physically and mentally) and it became something I look forward to doing.
So. I am deeply, deeply depressed, have been for the past 15 years of my life, with ups and downs of course, spent a year bedridden fully catatonic and all that jazz.
That being said, for about two months now I have been in another crisis, I sleep almost 20h a day, can't work, can't eat, barely bathe myself, etc.
By watching your videos, right now exactly this moment, I got up and actually moved my body (aka wall pushups). Because I wanted to.( folks who have depression will understand how hard it is to want anything, let alone get up and do it).
Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear that. Check out Barbara O'Neill on mental health and rewiring brain

Dear Hampton, I'm a 66-year-old woman and can't do pull-ups, never could, except maybe when I was a kid, but resigned to never being able to again. Then I saw your video and decided I'm going to try. I tried on the park outdoor pull-up bar, but just immediately crumpled to the ground. But I was inspired by your philosophy of doing a little bit every day. Then I bought gym rings and put them up outside my backdoor. Every time I walk past I step up, grip, step off the stool and drop down. Resigned that's all I'll ever be able to do. At least it gives my back a nice stretch. But soon I found that instead of immediately slipping off, I could hold on for a few seconds. Then 10 seconds. Then 12. Now I feel I can squeeze my shoulder blades together and make a small pulling motion. Will let you know if I ever manage to do one complete pull-up. Maybe in a year.

I wish I subscribed way before. I just started working out seriously and consistently. I hope I learn more as I progress each day. Thanks for educating us people who strives to be better and give us encouragement we need. 😅
Thx my man
You're motivating me! And im gonna do this!
At age 73, rotator cuff surgery in both shoulders couldn't do one! It has been a journey but now can do two. Goal is ten, I will be patient:).
💪Stay strong man, i believe in you
You can do it!! ✨ I believe in you.
I'd like to see it if you post it on your channel
Nice bro. U got this 👍
You can do it man just gotta stick with it!
1:13 I just fell back on my chair because i thought a fly went inside my ear lol
Me too
lol same, almost dropped my headset
I freaked!!!!😳😂😂😂
Same
I legit slapped my headphones and had a small panic attack 🤣
You've inspired me to do pull-ups. Thank you! Great video and hair by the way! :)
This is brilliant!! Thank you!
So nobody’s going to talk about the very realistic fly that everyone with headphones thought it landed on their ear?
Finally someone else noticed it
I tapped my ear to shoo away the fly before I noticed it was on the video
Damn I thought it was a real mosquito
It scared me asf
Lmao. Me too. Very asmr... 😂
"fitness is a journey and we all start from somewhere", beautiful words.
Most encouraging workout advice video I've ever seen, hands down.
Absolutely excellent approach to teaching and encouraging people to exercise thank you hanpton.
This shits better than all the motivational instacrap accounts
Facts
I agree
No doubts
yeah, the top comment also says it all!
I wish we had PE teachers like this when I was in high school.
seriously, I was gonna say the same thing, back when I was in school it was basically, oh you can't do a pull up, you fail.
I declare this man as my pe teacher since I’m doing online... heh LoL
I always told myself that or teachers are failed athletes that got a degree in i dunno what so they are basically frustrated so they can't be nice
Virginia school system has children take health and PE but alternating like one week health and one week pe in my opinion by middle and Highschool kids should’ve already been taught health because half the kids including myself were already on a track of no return ,without major effort, teach kids young what to eat, basically brainwash the fuckers and have only PE in middle school and only PE and maybe cooking ,or teen living whtv it’s called, in Highschool.
@@actinganimal885 There is never a point of no return, that is the point of much of the content on this channel.
